Tim Profitt, the Rand Paul supporter caught on camera stopping on the head of a MoveOn.org activist outside of the Kentucky Senate debate, wants an apology. From his victim.

"I don't think it's that big of a deal," Profitt told local news station WKYT. "I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you."

Since the incident on Monday, Paul's campaign dropped Profitt as campaign coordinator in Bourbon County in central Kentucky and banned him from future events.

Profitt previously said he pounced on the woman's head because his back hurt.

Details are starting to emerge on the Rand Paul supporter who stepped on the face of a protester and pinned her face to the ground. It’s believed Tim Profitt worked for the Paul campaign, not just as a volunteer as once thought.

A judge is currently deciding whether or he should face criminal charges.

Profitt told the AP, "I'm sorry that it came to that, and I apologize if it appeared overly forceful, but I was concerned about Rand's safety."

Paul's campaign called the altercation "incredibly unfortunate.” Conway said he was shocked to see the video footage.

Stupid stuff people did in college was at the heart of last night's Senate debate in Kentucky. The Republican candidate Rand Paul accused his Democratic rival Jack Conway of taking the campaign to an all-new low and demanded an apology at the televised event.

No dice from Conway. In a somewhat bizarre confrontation, he asked Paul to explain why he allegedly tied a woman up and asked her to "worship Aqua Buddha." He claimed Paul joined a secret club that mocked Christianity. Paul told him to "run a race as a man" and refused to shake his hand afterward.
