A new right wing group is releasing ads trying to turn President Obama's successful mission to get Osama bin Laden into a campaign liability. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell explains in the Rewrite.
While the 2012 Republican field emerges at a snail’s pace, a new political group just unleashed one of the first attack ads of the campaign season. Priorities USA Action, a pro-Democrat org, put out a commercial aimed at Mitt Romney over his GOP support for overhauling Medicare and jabs Newt Gingrich for his comments on the plan. Founded by two former aides to President Obama, the group serves as a heavily-funded alternative to the pro-Republican group, American Crossroads.
The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell airs at 10pm ET, Monday through Thursday on MSNBC. The show channels O'Donnell's extensive background in politics and entertainment.
