The Center for Reproductive Rights just launched its "Draw the Line" campaign with the help of award-winning actors, including Meryl Streep, Kyra Sedgwick, Kevin Bacon, Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman and Martha Plimpton (who will be on tonight’s show talking about the online campaign).
The organization wants lawmakers to support women's rights to abortion, contraception and other reproductive health services. Online videos urge Americans to "draw the line" and sign the Bill of Reproductive Rights.
The center hopes to gather hundreds of thousands of signatures. It then plans to present the bill to Congress and to the president, who according to a statement on their website, "must guarantee and protect reproductive rights as fundamental human rights and stop the attacks by politicians who want to take those rights away."

The Bill of Reproductive Rights

For those on the right who pivot and say that they want to discuss the 'economy', not 'social issues like abortion'; abortion rights, all reproductive rights, fall squarely in the epicentre of any given society's economic and mental health well-being. To even discuss anything outside of that parameter is absurd.
I've noticed that all of the lawmakers from the right who are pushing so hard against abortion rights all have penises. Where do all of the righties with vaginas and uteruses stand on these issues? --Signed, an ex-Republican.

With their husbands. Their husbands tell them how to think and that's aok with them.
I tried to access the drawtheline.org website and either it has crashed or does not exist at this URL.
Tried to go to drawtheline.org, and get a "bad site" message. Just crashed?
I tried to open it up and it's unavailable?
How dare they...compare women to farm animals...wanting to take away our fundamental rights to have control over our bodies. How dare they...insult our intelligence by assuming we will just go quietly into the night if they get the power to do what they want. If they do get that power, and I truly can't fathom most of America losing its collective mind, they will see what they can't even fathom...and then we will all be saying, be careful what you a..holes wished for.
I tried the site as well. Maybe this is proof that despite what the conservative media says, there are PLENTY of people that watch MSNBC and Progressive Media since the site seems to have been overwhelmed the immediatly after Lawrence O'Donelle ran the story. Hopefully the site will be up soon.
I can't get to Drawtheline.com either,
What is going on?
I can't get to Drawtheline.org site either. Where can you go to sign the petiton?
I can't get to Drawtheline.org site either.
Tried to go to drawtheline.org to sign on in support, but a website to sign on did not come up. Please make it easier for us to support this important issue. Planned Parenthood is critical for so many woman for basic health care, as is a woman's right to choose vs the goverments right to make the choice for us.
Marth Plimpton made the statement that one in three women have had an abortion. That seems to be a rather high number considering the limited number of providers of legal abortions in the U.S. and the difficulty in tracking abortions by other means. I'd like to see the source of that number, and I think Lawrence O'Donnell should have challenged her on it. I don't think it does the cause of reproductive rights any good to claim that one-third of the women in this country have had an abortion unless there is solid evidence to back up such a figure. I think women should have the option when it is necessary, but fact based sex education and easy access to contraception are also part of reproductive choice and rights and would reduce the number of abortions while maintaining the option. Abortion is seldom an easy choice, and I would hope that one goal of reproductive rights would be to reduce the number of abortions through education and access to contraception as a routine part of women's reproductive health.
I tried to go to drawthline.org and could not sigh in to site!!!
Went to google and the 7th one down with a picture of a lady in black and white, hit that drawtheline.org, then you will see Kevin bacon and his wife and under the video will be the web site hit that one and you will be able to sign the petition.

Went back tried http//www.drawtheline.org/sign-the-bill/ clicked on it and was able to sign on the bill. Sharon from Fort Worth excellent comment agree.
Can't access the DrawTheLine.org site either.
With regard to the use of a vaginal probe, per discussion on tonight's show, it is my understanding that, according to federal law, "penetration without consent is considered rape." That said, my question is, how do the state's get away with passing state laws that allow this kind of procedure when a woman does not want it?
There was a time in this country when women could not vote, plan their family; and those that did not want to go through with a pregnancy, either died in an alley..., you have the idea. Take your responsibility to VOTE seriously and wisely. Open your eyes, minds and brain.
When I was younger, I demonstrated against the VietNam war; for civil rights; for abortion and women rights. I remember what it was like to buck the tide and it was not always easy knowing J.E. Hoover and Reagan and others (see the book Subversives by Seth Rosenfeld to get true example on what happens when you go against anyone in power ) were watching your every move. But I would, and will, do it over again. I also had an abortion around 1972 and will support the right of women over their own bodies. In so many ways, we have been lax and taken everything for granted. It looks as though we are going to have to stand up together to regain those rights. Count me in. BTW, it takes much more than signing a petition. You must personally make your views known in a public manner - speak out, demonstrate if necessary. Signing a petition does not always do the job. We have true voices.
I thought I'd have a look at the site, and of course, nothing esists at that URL. Just goes to show that stupid, lamebrain liberals can't get anything executed successfully! All hype and no substance, just like their candidate this election.
You should try again, soprano-boy...given your checkered history with keyboard usage concepts, you must have clicked on something that wasn't a link. It's the "Draw the Line" words that are in quotes, bold and underlined...that should make it easier for you to do.
Are you describing your consistent lack of mental prowess with even the most simplistic task of correctly copying names from a web site when you issue one of your lies? Like you did with that bogus "two economists at the BLS cooked the unemployment numbers for Obama" rant that you can't prove?
Thought so...
Keith Longey describes Keith Longey...I couldn't agree more.
