Even the latest poll from Fox News has President Obama leading. How did Bill O'Reilly try to explain that result away? He couldn't. Someone else had to do his dirty work. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell explained in the latest Rewrite.
Fox News tries to rewrite its own poll

I guarantee that the exit polls will favor President Obama by a much larger margin than the official election results in numerous states (including specifically Ohio, New Hampshire, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, and Minnesota) because nothing has been done to eliminate the vote flipping electronic voting machines which stole the 2004 Presidential election from John Kerry in Ohio (where the exit polls showed that Kerry got 53% of the female vote and 51% of the male vote but somehow lost the state) and also flipped Iowa, New Mexico, and Nevada to Bush (which the exit polls showed that Kerry won); significantly decreased Kerry's winning margins in numerous states, including Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and Michigan; and gave Bush much bigger winning margins than the exit polls predicted in Florida and Colorado. Will you wait until the day after the election to start asking why there will be such a big discrepancy between the exit polls and the election results?
All this negative stuff about Obama that he is a muslin, not married and that he was not born in the US will help him because I believe that most rational persons want be fair, just and accurate.
I periodically post 54% to 46%. And I'm sticking with it!
I gues we will have to wait until after the election to find out the real results because I know you will not get the truth from anyone at MSNBC. There are no grown ups there, just a bunch of haters. Fox nor Bill O'Reilly were trying to rewrite anything. If you took the time to look past your nose and at the whole show and questions asked you would see and know that. Is MSNBC the other wing of Obama's campaign office?
How does it feel to live in a fantasy world?
So just what is faux news? Unfair and unbalanced for sure? Glad to know you get the best news available at the redumblicans expense! Yeah they have alot of 'adults' there, just as all those posters on their web site But then agai news channel that has to apologize for crap they throw out there. Yep,we will see,get ready for FOUR MORE YEARS!!!! OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
Really? Can you even type that with a straight face?
Really nearly choked on my coffee when I read your reply. Truly? What have you been drinking. How uninformed to make a claim that any "news" stoops lower than Faux news Fox.
Hey JR from Bossier...you are right in addition to MSNBC not having any grown ups, just a bunch of haters, you can add morons, weak left wingers, whiners, liers. O'Donnell is an idiot, he always mentions Fox News not realizing the more you talk about your enemy, the more people are interested in the enemy. Thats why MSNBC is suffering in the ratings. When you give a show to Al Sharpton, the biggest race baiter, you are really struggling.
Do not know if you are going to post the "rewrite" segment so people can post on it so I will post here..DUDE most impressive rewrite(for those that haven't seen- it relates to this- so much watch) possibly your absolute best! One you could even use in a "rewrite" segment in future when Obama DOES win, lol...
(I dunno why I write this but someone reads this sh*t (tm) ;) just sayin
oh and a p.s. "Poverty at a 19 yr High" best web-only you have done. The producers of "the Cycle" need to look at this clip that will give them some ideas to make their show grow with their target...seriously best chemistry I have seen between Krystal Ball and Ari Melber, and shot from the hip(no pun intended watch the clip lol) their target crowd will love it.. Maybe fire a producer or two( callll meeeeee ;) ) here would be my cast of 4..
Krystal Ball (she stays)
Ari Melber(duh the chemistry ok, but is he???)
Joy Reid(sexy, witty, covers all bases)
and Michael Smerconish( or some other older white guy who is available and looks like dad..gotta cover the demographic)...
all this is (tm) by me... just sayin:)
oh...and p.p.s. to my p.s. I got screenshots if this gets deleted lol...:) just sayin;)
p.p.p.s when I say some other older guy I also think of Jared Bernstein.. again you may have to pay more but they have been around the block...
I watched about 15 minutes of Fox last night and other then calling Obama a bunch of childish names they didn't report on any news regarding the elections.
I can see how a small minded person could be dragged into that toilet but people do have remotes and there are other networks reporting on the state of the races. People that continue watching that foolishness already have their minds made up about Obama. It's not his policies or his vision for America, it's his ethnic background that a lot of these folks have a problem with.
Fox reported on the amateurish stance Obama voiced toward Egypt by stating that the largest Arab nation is neither an ally nor an enemy of ours, and the West. Of course, that was a gaffe of monumental proportions, as we are currently supplying the Egyptian new and fragile democratically elected government with $2 Billion of diplomatic and military aide. Well, give the President the excuse that he made that gaffe in an interview out in the Rocky Mountains on his I'm Out of Touch Campaign and and Fund raising tour after leaving Hillary Clinton in charge of the Middle East fiasco of his foreign policy back in Washington, DC. And he didn't have his teleprompter (just as he won't in the upcoming debates, you know). Interesting that with his eyes set on more campaigning today, and later this weekend, as things go from bad to worse in the Middle East, Obama just got overruled this morning by the State Department that issued a communication that the President has misspoke, and that Egypt is very much our ally, just as it had been in the last 20 years, and a reliable neighbor of Israel.
It is not usual that the incumbent President gets a boost in the polls when their is trouble to our interests abroad. Even Jimmy Carter got a 10 point boost in the dismal summer months after his aborted effort that ended in fiery disaster and death for our troops of the rescue attempt for our Embassy in Iran officials held hostage by the revolutionary forces of that nation. And he held a lead in the polls until 10 days beforehis going down to defeat in 1980. And this failed President, especially in our domestic economic affairs, and now in foreign affairs apparantly with his lead from behind policies will meet the same fate, especially after the debates.
Once again Grandpa is in need of some nasal surgery after his cherry-picked history. Polls in 1980--there were far fewer then, BTW--varied. Gallup had Carter ahead, but ABC had Reagan ahead in a close race.
The key is approval rating. Carter was at 32%... President Obama's is at 52%...
http://www.newsday.com/news/nation/barack-obama-approval-rating-at-15-month-high-poll-says-1.3982365
And about that claim that "Carter was ahead" (which has zilch to do with anything anyway):

The most interesting possibility here is not whether 2012 unfolds the way that Romney’s team thinks 1980 did, but whether it unfolds the way 1980 actually did. That is, with a tight race blown open by the Republican convention, giving Romney a lead that Obama can never fully overcome.
As we can see, it was the Democratic Convention that's blown the tight race open...

Are we better in 2012 that in 2008? Hell yes. Dick Cheney is no longer president, and neither is his ventriloquist's dummy...
Mr. Longey, your most adamant disagreement with the president's choice use of the words "ally" and "enemy" remind me of advice I received 30 years ago from a Reagan democrat. The discussion was about trust. His thought was there are 3 levels of trust; distrust, trust, and neutral. Neutral being the first level, one of the other 2 following as real life happens. Obama's approach placed the ball squarely on the president of Egypt's court, and I believe the Muslim Brotherhood's decision to cancel their protest on Friday reflected this. You may disagree, but keeping the discussion civil is certainly one way to to proceed with all this.
What is your view on freedom of speech vs yelling "FIRE" in a theater, and how that might pertain to u-tube videos? Somebody smarter than me needs to figure that one out.
Obama's withdrawal from the Middle East began with his apology world tour culminating with that extremely poor show in Cairo telling his tale of how the US would be in the future much more respecting, and much more reticent to use its military powers. And what did Barrack Hussein Obama have to apologize for? Our country's history for the previous 20 years, beginning with our freeing Muslims in Kuwait and in Southern Iraq from the oppression of the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, the taking up the cause with our blood and treasure for the salvation or persecuted Muslims facing genocide in Kosovo and Bosnia, and the freeing of the Afghan peoples from their fundamentalist Taliban oppressors, and the freeing of the Iraqi peoples from their then still in power and dangerous to the world military oppressor, the secular dictator Saddam Hussein? In the face of that exemplary history of our supporting the forces of freedom in the Muslim world, and helping to introduce free and democratic government, for men and women, the fervor for freedom and democracy was let loose in the Muslim world. Now, however, when the moment to strengthen that accomplishment was there, we were treated instead to the slow but sure withdrawal by Barrack Hussein Obama, leaving the field militarily and diplomatically to the fundamentalist islamists who are seeking to move to power in the resulting vacuum, that their fledgling new governments established in the Arab Spring are not ready to fill on their own. Obama's "lead from behind" as he coined the phrase is bearing its rotten fruit now. And that is why it is paramount that we stop this self defeating apologizing for America and our values, and just as quickly as possible. And the ginned up crowds of unemployed and disaffected youth in the Arab nations are now pitching their battles in the streets against the very same fledgling governments, that the clueless Obama declares are not are allies, and not our enemies, but in the no mans land of our and our Western allies creation left to founder to the fundamentalist grab for power. Enjoy your Obama "Peace Dividend" lefties...this is what it looks like.
In fact Obama was correct, at the time he spoke we did not know if Egypt was going to be an ally or not. The dictators of the last several decades were allies, but this is a new government and no one knew how they would react. A gaff is defined as "when a politician accidently tells the truth". Unlike Romney who just out and out lies about Obama apologizing. So it is within this context that I consider who should have their feet held to the fire. Additionally Obamas statement certainlly may have been on purpose to send a message to the egyptian government, "if you want to be considered an ally, act like an ally", by either plan or chance after he made that statement the egyptian government was in fact quick to act. In the case of Romney, everyone can read the statement put out many hours before the attack by the embassy. It doesnt apologize for the attacks but condems the sick attack on Islam. Don't we all condem all such attacks on any religion? But Romney doubled and triple down on this untrue line of attack. Romney purposely has misreprosented the facts again and again even in the face that what he his saying is blatenly false.
Leading from behind is very difficult to do, it takes a very smart and strong leader to get other countries to stand up to their responsibilities in a crisis. I find it amazing that he is critizied for this, unless you are twisted in your beliefs and can only be satisfied with the results when we have dead American service men and women lying on forgien soil. The real reason so many repubs are upset with this is simple. Obama showed everyone in America that we dont have to comitt the blood of our young men and women and alot of our treasure to get the result we want from a conflict. This is key, read it again. Obama got the results America wanted without killing our young service men and women and without using huge chunks of our treasure needed here at home. The neocons are froathing at the mouth, they are flopping on the ground like a fish out of water becasue this proves that every crisis doesnt need American boots on the ground nor great chunks of our treasure spent to get a desired result. Obama is making the neocons central arguement..."we must go to war" moot, so they come up with this "leading from behind" phrase. I don't give a damn what you call it I do hope he does more of it. Perhaps one day our fine service men and women will have to go to war on forgien soil, but as a vet I honestly believe we should be as carefull with their lives as we are with our own, not using their unshakable commitment to America like pawns on a chessboard to further the idealogical views of any, but to actually protect us when all other avenues have been tried and have failed.
Speaking of a ventriloquist's dummy...
Grandpa, I thought you wanted to talk about the economy...
Mitt Romney's is one of those who's so dumb he doesn't know when he's in a hole, the prudent choice is to stop digging...
And I see Lyin' Ryan was hanging around the "Family Values" crowd, along with Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann....
Hey, Fuzz-for-brains, the reason Al Qaeda leadership is acting out is because Obama's leadership has been effective, and they're trying to sabotage it...
And they're getting plenty of help from you and the Governor, gonzo...

Serving up reality to the reality-challenged since 1999...
Out of the mouths of children and fools, take your choice on the Cab Driver's obviously delusional comments.
Either one would be more honest than you, gonzo. And here you were bragging about your undergrad in English... Surely you know that in Elizabethan drama, the fool is the only character who always tells the truth...
Must suck to be a Republican of any variety these days...
Absolutely unbelievable how you stalk my learned and eruide posts filled with fact and figure supported arguments with inane put downs and insults and providing nothing, zitch, nada of any value, or even attempts at countering my arguments, Cab Driver. SOP for you, and you bragged so much when I came on this blog that you were going to chase me off of it with your "superior intellect". LOL! How'd that work out for you, fool?
You're right, I underestimated your stupidity... Smarter folks would've hightailed it out long ago... But feel free to continue to look like an idiot and a liar. You'll do far more for the Progressive cause than I ever could. And thanks for all the new friends.
And that's another strawman you've fashioned with my claims of a "superior" intellect. It is superior to yours, yes, but so is a turnip's.
I see one of your few friends has gone missing...wonder why?
You'd really like to think that, wouldn't you, but it's not a reality for you, soprano-boy. These Last Word blogs are incessantly infested with your constant lying, childish amateur attempts at deflection, and plagiarized tripe. SL Cabbie is more than capable of refuting your continual mis-information postings, as he's shown over and over. I do note that you seem to be getting more desperate trying to convince people with your myriad "Romney/Ryan 2012" bleatings.
Actually...am on vacation...took a little trip through New England and went through a town known as Wethersfield, CT. Past a rather dingy looking pale yellow (or was it an off-white...hard to tell, it was so-o-o-o unkept) on Nott St. (address available on request). Judging by its looks, it isn't hard to understand why you're the way you are. You need to get out of that basement more often and do some sprucing up to provide some relief for those unfortunate people who are saddled with being your neighbors. What's the matter...no pride in your dwelling?
No, the sudden realization hit me that I was sinking into a similar abyss such as the one you so relish dwelling in Keith...and that was a real wake-up call. Not the life for me, but as you seem to enjoy being constantly made to look like an utter fool, not understanding why people can so easily see through you that the vast majority of the info in your posts is from other authors...all that, coupled with the fact that you're nothing more than a liar who will never be man enough to admit your fabrication made me understand that your moral compass has spun backwards so many times that it will never find its true north again.
Like I told you before...someone with more oars in the water than you have. But the other posters on here who don't care for you can make the same accurate claim.
But at the end of the day, I derive an exceeding amount of comfort and pleasure in knowing that no matter what lies and plagiarizations you post, come November, my vote will totally negate your vote and for all your whining and crying, there's absolutely NOTHING you can do about it.
Reality can be such a bitch for you at times, can't it Keith?
Some people are so dependent on their liberal blogosphere searchs that they just can't recognize that there are people who have years of experience of absorbing the news of the day, and can be attentive to standard media such as CNN, NBCNews, Bloomberg News and Business News, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, The Wall Street Jounal, Barons, US News and World Report, Time Magazine, and The Economist and synthethize the information seen there after examing it through the lense of firmly ground principles established from education and life's experiences.
If one believes I've written something that one thinks is plagerized from another writing, name the source in one's accusation. If one thinks the information I provide by argument backed by facts and figures are lies, state how they are lies, and provide one's descriptions of what the one's "truth" would be, backed up with facts and figures. Otherwise the feeble attempts to counter my arguments here with insulting and put down comments are not worth the time for anyone on this blog. And that is for anyone who persists in stalking my postings in like manner.
