Paul Ryan hates government except when it for him and people like him. Paul Ryan has actually spent his entire life on the government dole. He got SSI survivor benefits until he was 18... THEN through his rich family (from government funded infrastructure projects & Defense Dept contracts) connections got his first government job and has been sucking off the government teat ever since. It saddens me that so many of our Leader can lie to use daily. The worst part is WE KNOW IT and will not do a damn thing about it!!! We all rise up in the morning and take our Matrix Plugged bodies to work and bring our tired minds back home with almost no time to take care of our own household, let alone our own City,State, or country.
THEY know this and THEY calculate us so well.
This is even true of the news anchors. They are working for a paycheck. They have to repeat the same thing over and over again, therefore becoming a pond/calculation of both political parties. Where is the passion my friends? The passion of MLK and JFK? Where are the great thinkers and hard core civil rights believers? Even like those who started great economical movements during Reconstruction.. We must do something different.
The GOP in 2012 are the most slanderous professional political organization that I can remember in my 31 years of life. How can we be so petty to be a part of a party that has ran us into wars, debt, etc and history will tell the rest. They take our money and call it theirs [Government Bailouts]...its a Citizen/Taxpayer Bailout and the 98% pay the most taxes. The top 2% has most of the wealth though my friends. However, when the working class needs healthcare, medicare, SSI, Rent Subsidies and Student Loans/Grants they are demonized and called lazy, dependent, etc...
The GOP also likes to bash America as they continue to talk about how we are going to hell in a handbag. All this while they try to beef up spending on defense after one of the longest wars in the history of our country; add more money to their overseas bank accounts with another extension of Bush tax cuts, change medicare for our generation as we pay per check for this generation as if it is ok with those of us under 55. IT IS NOT!!
My friends if we think typing and talking about this Great GOP Idiocracy is the answer, then we are all doomed. We must find that inner-human passion inside that tells us to care and CARE BIG.
As we make our money, lets never forget about the many who went to school with us and had no socks or shoes...lets not forget the neighbors down the street who never had a Christmas gift...lets not forget that friend or family member that did not quite make it as far as us...lets not forget that drug addicts have REAL KIDS too...lets not forget that some of us come from hard times and may have been liberated from it...But never, ever forget that there are more have nots in the world and they will always need a champion in us.
Billions on elections, wars, bailouts, etc...but they will fight to the end to keep food stamps off the table of the poor and such..

The Defense of our Republic is the most important and compelling reason for the existance of a Federal Government, Quaser. And it is the top income earners that pay most of the taxes, not the 90%. Nearly 50% of all earned income recepients pay no taxes at all, Zero, Ziltch, Nada under our present tax code (some, wsith childen, even get reverse payments from the US Treasury), and yet howl for more Govenment givaways and "entitlement benefits", which one political party has masteed the art of playing them off to secure the ever growing numbers of govenment dependant voters present and future allegiance.
As to your ignorance on the GOP plan for saving and extending Medicare, they aren't forcing people to do anything...they are going to be offering a choice for indivuduals over 55 years of age to chose Traditional Medicate or Medicare Advantage, just as they have now, but will lose in 2013 due to ObamaCare, which strips out the Medicare Advantage funds and uses that $216 Billion dollars estimated over the next 10 years to pay for expansion of Medicaid and subsidies for private health insurance, along with another $500 billion of so called "savings" that ObamaCare robs from the Medicare Trust funds. The GOP plan is to leave any savings to be accomplished in the Medicare Trust Fund to be used for Medicare recepients, and for those under 55 years of age presently, to have the OPTION TO CHOOSE at retirement to enroll in Traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage (which 25% of Medicare recepients presently choose), or take a subsidy paid from Medicare to purchase their own health insurance as they see fit. Choice, and the benefit of cost reductions due to the competitiveness of open markets, rather than one size fits government designed health care.
As to the slandar charge you made, Quasar, apparently you haven't been paying attention to the rabid and lying Obama campaign attacks on the character of the Republican candidate and his "sterling record" (as described by ex-President Bill Clinton) in business and finance. If Iraq had not happened Iran would never be able to develop an atomic bomb, lives would have been saved, less profit for you know who and the budget would be balanced. Most of the deficit is the result of the Iraq war based on lies.
I disagree with Lawrence's idea that the 7% of undecided voters are the type of people who make their decision based on their "gut" feelings. I think undecideds are the type of people who do look at the facts and are willing to give both sides a chance to speak and will take their time processing that information before casting their ballot. - We won't have a clear view of this demographic until at least 2 weeks after the DNC. Until then the media needs to be critical of both campaigns, checking the facts and analyzing the merits of their platform.
