The GOP puts much stock on their "Christian Values Platform" argument, there are "MANY" Democrats that are devout Christians that may not wear their Faith on their sleeve and the Democrats are supposed to be a BIG TENT right? (Catholics, Lutherans, Methodist, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Unitarians, Adventist and the Jewish People) Why is the Democratic Party "AFRAID" to use Christianity and the Bible to back up their views and values? Nobody is saying you have to be a Christian and Democrats do respect “ALL” views believers as well as non-believers, but many Democrats and Independents do hold these values because of Christianity. The Bible and Jesus were very very progressive by today's standards. I am an Independent, Catholic, former Republican, college educated and would like to help President Obama win re-election. So I compiled my own set of Christian Values to help the Democratic Party backup some of their "VALUES" and these "Christian Values" are curiously missing from the Republican Platform there is more to Christianity than being anti-abortion and anti-gay Democrats need to learn how to fight FIRE with FIRE:

Psalms. 140:12. I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor. (The Social Safety Net, Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Tricare and Medicaid and Food Stamps)

Deuteronomy. 15:7. If there is a poor man among you, one of your brothers, in any of the towns of the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand to your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks. (Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Unemployment, the Minimum Wage)

Isaiah . 10:1-3. "Woe to those who enact evil statutes, and to those who continually record unjust decisions, so as to deprive the needy of justice, and rob the poor of My people of their rights... Now what will you do in the day of punishment, and in the devastation which will come from afar?" (Income inequality, Supreme Court decisions that work against “WE the PEOPLE”. Wall Street vs. Main Street, Medicare, Social Security, voter suppression, Regulations affecting air, water and food, tax inequality and the ONE TRILLION DOLLAR FAILED WAR on DRUGS)

Luke 6:24. "But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full." (Income inequality, unfair tax rates that only benefit the 1% and Corporate subsidies vs. the Social Safety Net and avarice)

Proverbs 29:7. The righteous is concerned for the rights of the poor; the wicked does not understand such concern.” (Medicaid, Welfare to work, Unemployment insurance, minimum wage, Affordable Care Act and Food Stamp Program, Dream Act and Student Aid)

(Re-Defining Christian Values-the Ryan Budget and prosperity doctrine, indifference to the plight of the Middle Class and the Poor, avarice of the 1%)

April, reviewing a states progress 5 or 10 years after the fact of providing a waiver for that state to stop requiring honest education or job training efforts or some work requirement to recepients continuing receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families monthly federal financial past the intitial two year period is hardly going to be a barrier to simply providing blanket carte blanche (blank check if you don't read French) to young mothers and their non working partners to stay home and keep on keeping on having children, in an out of wedlock, on the tax payer's dollars. Where is the teeth in that invitation that cited a state may have such a waiver if they at some time later prove they were able to increase by 20% the number of TANF recepients that left the dole rolls to go on to work? I saw no mention of the time period in which these highly publicised waivers would be in force before such a review of their effectiveness, saw no "claw back" provisions mentioned that would return from the states mispent federal funds if the state did not meet that goal. Hence, this is simply another of his redistribution of the nations wealth (which really means more federal deficit spending) social engineering schemes.

The history of Obama and ACORN, and now the Register The Vote new offshoot national oraganization run by former Democrat Party officials and consultants that has already mailed out 1.5 million (and counting) official appearing State Voter Registration forms targeting the poor, young women, minorities is simply to obtain an increased vote from that interest group, so this is the other shoe that drops for that effort. It's one more pandering to a special interest group attempt, along with a whole bunch of other panderings by Obama, such as his enacting by Presidential fiat the provisions of The Dream Act that Congress would not pass that has resulted in a law suit by employees and officials of the Immigration and Naturalization Service for its shortcuiting the laws of our land.

Beware the words expressed to the new Russian President heard through an open Microphone in Washinton, D.C.; this is my last election, and I can be more "FLEXIBLE" after that. In otherwords, 'I'll do anything by executive fiat that I want to do, and Congress and the Supreme Court be damned'!' And this from a so called Constitutional Law Scholar.

There are many in the AA community that will not work and know that they will get enough money each month to get by. They live basic lives and can't wait until they get there check to buy $150-$200 Air Jordans. It is the way it is. You have 6-8 kids, get money for each and you never have to work. The problem is that 1-2 of those kids will not make it past 24 years old and half won't graduate HS. It is a disaster in the community. The problem is the Democrats deep down love it that way...easy voters.

I am watching the coverage of the Rep. convention and I am grateful to see some of you attempting to question the ever evasive republicans about specific things that are untrue. However why do some of you waste valuable time in interviewing someone like Condoleeza Rice with questions like "Are you going to run for office?" Giving her a pass on how the two wars that were started, under her sides admin., are being payed for right after she talks about the beauty of the republican financial plans. Was a direct question that could have been posed to contradict the reality with what she was saying. I have watched many interviews with this person and they all seem to be a waste of time. If to get interviews with people you must just allow them to say stupid things then you are just a commercial for their idiotic side. Also I did not want to post this where it does not belong but this web site makes it very hard to find where else to do it.
