This welcome billboard went up on Tuesday in Tampa.
Oh look, honey, Democrats made Republicans a little sign to greet them when they arrive in Tampa for the Republican National Convention. How thoughtful.
Vice President Joe Biden and Tropical Storm Isaac are on the welcome wagon committee.

Is that a real sign, or some photo shop BS?
It's gotta be true; Fox affiliate in Tampa says so:
The Mormon Church does not believe that single women can get to heaven. Only married women can and they don't get there on their own accord. It is their husband's passage to heaven that gets them there.
The Mormons deny this until you press them with it. Then they say this only applies to the highest level of heaven to which mankind can aspire. But the level below that 'highest level' is akin to purgatory in the Catholic religion, a place you wouldn't want to be consigned to.
So entry into the 'real' heaven? Single women are excluded.
And let's not forget. In the Mormon view, the woman's place is in the home. Barefoot and pregnant. Mormon women are expected to bear many children. Five children are in the passable range.
Young women of today are not aware of the major battles women went through and won back in the sixties and seventies. They don't understand how much can be lost in the November election.
Don't tell Joanna Brooks about single women or the rest of this stuff. She's still in denial about this stuff...
There's also the story of how the LDS Church orchestrated the defeat of the ERA (Equal Rights Amendment) in 1982 by using its influence in Utah to prevent its ratification.
Thanks for sharing, Joan, but beware our resident headcase is sure to call you out for religious bigotry...
The only thing of importance to women that can be lost as a result of the Nov election is more of their jobs, as 400,000 women have lost theirs during the disasterous policies and practices of the Obama Administration that had them in the last year of the George Bush Administration. Joan.
Cab Driver: why not go practice your anti-Morman bigotry sermonizing somewhere else, like with the drunks you frequently associate with.
I'm not anti-Mormon, Fuzz-for-Brains...
I'm pro-truth. And you should hear the stories my sister-the-CFO tells about when she was a working woman here in Utah... The culture wants them to remain docile, stay-at-home sorts who raise children and never their voices... She left 30-odd years ago and hasn't looked back... I made a "small error" and returned when a business didn't work out, thinking I could renew my teaching certificate, and I've been stuck here ever since. It hasn't been all bad, however. I've got enough material to mine for literature on the order of what Bernard DeVoto, Wallace Stegner, and Edward Abbey drew from.
Here's another friend of mine--a degreed professional--discussing the term "anti-Mormon."

I like this one... (TBM = True Believing Mormon)
The term anti-Mormon only has meaning to a TBM in my opinion. It's a term they came up with that they use as a perjorative.
Or this one that nails Grandpa... "FAIR" is an "apologetic operation" that maintains "plausible deniability" distance from the actual LDS Church, but serves as a pseudo-intellectual goon squad to try to answer critics.
An anti-morman is what a mormon calls you when you say something the church can't refute and/or you cite a source outside of the morman Chuch or FAIR that doesn't agree with you.
And one of my better historical pieces is linked, so I'll offer it up although its message probably won't make it through Grandpa's bunker mentality. BTW, at least one of the reviewers has a PhD, another is an accomplished historian himself, and two are history teachers.

I'll leave it for others to judge my work and focus instead on Charles Larsen, who authored a book on Joseph Smith and his "translation" of some ordinary Egyptian funerary documents that became the basis for actual Mormon scripture (and the exclusion of blacks from any positions of church leadership until 1978).
Larsen was fired from a public school teaching job here in Utah and later won a decision in his favor on the matter because it was so egregious.

Stupid, inconsequential anti-Mormon bigotry, impure, and simple minded, Cab Driver. As I said, go peddle your poison to your fellow drunks!
Dogs holler when they are hit, the truth hurts!
It will be interesting to see who will blow harder, Tropical Storm Isaac, or Blow Hard Joe Biden! LOL!
You've always had my vote for the winner of this contest. Your history makes you the obvious winner, lips down.
Keith all I've ever seen you do is bad mouth people. Do you ever have anything positve to say about anyone other than rabid Republicans who are dragging the party down to the level of fear-mongerers and people who think compromise means "you do it my way or we're not doing anything"....which by the way is how Congress has behaved, allowing the country to sink as they point fingers everywhere except to those responsible for the condition in the first place and their lack of action to fix anything. When you see a sinking ship and you could do something about the people on that ship and you do nothing, that's tantamount to murder. I don't think anyone would be on your side if you did that--that's exactly what Congress has been doing in the name of playing politics--no one should be on their side either.
Bad mouthing people must make you feel important. But I think it makes you a very small man, in both mind and spirit. Not being able to compromise and then blaming your inability to make concessions, when we are in dire straights, on the others is also a crime and one I believe is very close to being labeled "treason".
It's the do nothing Democrat controlled U.S. Senate that has stopped any legilation coming out of the Republican controlled House of Representatives, including the last two budgets, Little Simcha! Best to get your facts straight.
And now those same Democrats in the Senate are threatening to take this nation over the fiscal cliff ahead if they don't get their way of increasing taxes on individuals making over $200,000 a year, and families with incomes over $250.000 a year, to pay for more of their runaway federal social spending projects and support more federal, state, and local government hiring.
Tampa, here. That sign is correct and the other ironies that exist are numberous. One being that the Convention site being labeled by Republicans as "We built that" (or something like that as a challenge to something Obama didn't even say...that building they are meeting in is own by the tax payers....it is a government project and wouldn't even be there if the tax payers hadn't voted to make it happen. I know how much Republicans hate to admit that "government" money makes a lot of things happen in this country so it should gall some of them to have to meet in a Center not built by private enterprise (alone). Then there's Paul Ryan's team...you know "the Green Bay Packers". The only team in the NFL that is not privately owned but owned by the tax payers of Wisconsin! Irony everywhere in the air here---and if Isaac does become a hurricane, I'm not worried because I know how well Republicans handle hurricanes! Maybe they should call "Brownie" in to run FEMA temperarily. Can't leave it to Democrats when the whole Republican Convention is at stake!
Life is good in Florida. I know there are plenty of places for Republicans to enjoy themselves in downtown Tampa. Some are a little seedy but I'm sure some of them won't mind. But the great thing is that with a tropical storm on the way, that means at the very least wind and lots of rain. And what people outside of Florida may or may not know is that one of the things banned in the area of the Center is UMBRELLAS! Our governor Rick Scott (a Republican) refused a temporary ban on concealed weapon carry--so if you have a permit, feel free to carry! But leave your umbrellas at home! LOL Ah, the irony. It's in the air!
"...government money makes a lot of things happen in this country"...not if you take it from the private sector in our economy and the investor class for foolish and mispent wasteful and inefficient social causes and pandering to special interest groups to secure voter support for the present and the future, Little brain Simcha!
ISAAC ATTENDS THE CONVENTION
(a prediction -- adding Biblical prophecy
from Todd Akin's point of view.)
By Vince Williams
August 23, 2012
Sarah was 90 when Isaac was born,
Old Abraham’s wife was exceedingly old.
A Guinness World Record, I’d say:
From Bible to book with amazing tales told:
That’s something unheard of today.
But Isaac might now cause a real sacrifice;
“Legitimate rape? No abortion!” says Todd,
“One warning I feel I must mention:
my candidacy has been ordered by God,
If Isaac attends the convention!
“No trust test could God give to old Abraham;
so God would be left just to hazard a guess
if Sarah had had an abortion;
and those party bosses can all kiss my ess;
my ego’s not out of proportion!
“My ‘ess’ stands for Senator AkIn, you know,
And doesn’t that have a melodious ring?
My knowledge from God is correct:
the fertilized egg is a person, not thing!
I’m one of the Godly elect.”
Let us not forget what all women have under the law of the Quran. NO RIGHTS. Look next week to see how the Democrats are welcoming the Muslim Brotherhood. So to all women.... don't vote for BHO.
Lawrence O'Donnell, you should be ashamed of yourself for your irresponsible comments this afternoon. I am in shock at your attempts to incite racism with your ignorant and careless comments which more than suggest that a reference to our President playing golf is a racially charged comment actually comparing the President to Tiger Woods. How absurd. You must be the bigot to even think of that! Race and skin color do not even matter to most Americans. I won't be watching your network. Professionalism lost at MSNBC.
