It's very nice to see Anna Marie Cox on "The Last Word." She seems terrific and real, not plastilene. She seems like an honest to goodness human bein' just bein' human. © Gobama!
The GOP base is evangelical said Howard Fineman. The GOP is also corporately slanted and definetely represent the elites. The GOP is corporo-theological in nature or perhaps corporo-evangelical elitist. Huh? What a concept. Rich elite Christians in corporate America are driving the GOP bus? Hmmm! Sounds about right and the GOP flock is stickin' with their pastors and rich Christian private sector elites. The new GOP is corporotheologic in nature. . Hmmm.... It's Pat Robertson Land and we have the evangelizing of pastors all over the country to thank for this new development, I mean predicament. But then again, when folks don't trust other big institutions, they might turn to religion. They might well fall into the arms of the Church. Corporo-theosopism. Hmmm . what a racket ....Is it the 1930's? Nope but that's when a lot of the GOP base started hanging around on the planet. They're regressing. Old folks will do that sometimes. They're goin' back to their youths before they transfer universes. :] [String theory influenced the last sentence.] Gobama!
Only is Washinton, DC could you state that cutting $716 billion dollars out of the Medicare Trust Fund by doing away with the plan that covered 25% of its recepients (Medicare Advantage), and cutting fees to physicians and hospitals, while putting together a commission of non professional medical practioners (as in university ivory tower thinkers) to design rationing of care proposals for seniors medical needs is an INPROVEMENT on Medicare and an IMPROVEMENT in services rendered to seniors.
And to use those supposed "savings" taken out of the Trust Fund to finance ObamaCare expansion of Medicaid for the working class to 140% of an already genenerous poverty level, and subsidize the middle classes much more expensive health insurance premiums due to the bells and whistles one sized fits all they are forcing on the states internal insurance markets is a further improvement in their jargon that will cut medical costs...theoritically, of course!
Seems that Obama and the Democrats were losing the discussion on Medicare and ObamaCare, and losing the discussion on the wretched state of the economy and the terrible legacy of run away deficit spending on the nation's fiscal situation, so it's back 27/7 to the mythical "GOP War on Women". Good luck with that....seems that Obama only has a bare majority of women voters, at 51%, snd is polling as having young women supporting him at 13% less numbers than he got in the 2008 election. And married women and senior women in single households are polling as supporting Romeny by 8% margins over Obama now. Must be the economy and his having robbed Medicare, hmmm? So what is the bottom of the rating battle MSNBC focusing on...Todd Atkin, candidate for Senator in the Bible Belt state of Missouri, and trying to hang his bizzarre and offensive statement made in an interview three days ago like an albatross around Romney/Ryan's neck....Good luck with that off the wall tactic.
What's so mythical about a "War on Women" when the de-facto leader of the Republican wing of the party calls a grown woman in a committed relationship "a slut" after she speaks out in favor of women retaining access to birth control? Pass the Etch-a-Sketch, please, I'll show you a bit of history where that individual was unmarried and in possession of Viagra... Here's to the old double standard...
And Fuzzie, despite professing disdain for the Humbaugh® repeats exactly those slurs and doubles down on them...
While a Congressional colleague close to the vice-presidential nominee invents some medical fiction, and the GOP platform adopts some of the strictest anti-abortion language ever...
And the vice-presidential nominee himself sponsored a bill that tried to distinguish "violent rape" from other sorts, but is now walking that one back as well; shoot, he even quoted President Obama in the soundbite...
And former presidential contender, Texas Governor Rick Perry defunds Planned Parenthood and "calls it a victory for women."
Up is down, Down is up in the Teapublican playbook...
And then there's the debunking of the Romney lies that Robert Reich and Jared Bernstein offered that Lawrence just discussed in a new clip here...
http://leanforward.msnbc.com/_news/2012/08/22/13422868-bernstein-reich-debunk-romney-lies-on-medicare-welfare?lite
Then it was Reich's turn. The former Clinton administration Labor Secretary took on Romney's false—and racially incendiary--charge that President Obama has relaxed the work requirements for welfare, so that recipients can simply sit around and "pick up a check." In fact, as we've written Obama insisted that states had to show they were puttingmore welfare recipients to work in order for their changes to be approved.
There is a post topic that deals with the issues raised by Messieurs Bernstein and Reich, both leftwingnbut econonists dedicated to the concept that it is the Big Government spending of taxed and borrowed dollars on social programs that leads to sustainable grown in our economy. And I answered their fradulent claims there with a long involved comment filled with more than anough typos and synax problems and run on sentences to delight you, Cab Driver. But I refer you there to the debunking I provided on their ignorant arguments.
Reich in particular is problematic, in that he fought tooth and nail as Clinton's Secretary of Labor against the Republicans in after the 1994 Revolition dragging Clinton to the signing of Welfare to Work provisions, that Obama is tying to get around by Unconstitutional Presidential Fiat just as he is attempting to get around Congress's voting down the "Dream Act", all in a desire to pander to special interest groups to spur his re-election chances.
Only in Washinton, DC's blue smoke and mirrors can you say you "saved" Medicare Trust Funds by cutting services to applicants, then take the $716 billion worth of "savings"out of the Trust Fund to pay for ObamaCare's expansion of Medicaid and provide Middle Class individuals and families with federal subsidies on their now more expensive Washington, DC designed mandated health insurance policies, and call that extending the life of the Medicare Trust Fund. It defys all common sense, just as stopping the work or job training or education requirement for TANF recepients will lead to more of those recepients to leave the federal tax payers dole for work in states provided the waivers by Presidential fiat.
It's all for the November election, Cab Driver....that is all it is! And forget the US Constitution and the powers granted to the Congress if it gets in Obama's way on his quest for power to "transform" America!
HOME SALES TAX - BEGINS 2013
When does your home become part of your health care? After 2012!
Your vote counts big time in 2012, make sure you and all your friends and family know about this!
HOME SALES TAX I thought you might find this ...
interesting. The National Association of Realtors is all over this and working to get it repealed, -- before it takes effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners. How many realtors do you think will vote Democratic in 2012? Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? It's in the health care bill, -- and it goes into effect in 2013. Why 2013? Could it be so that it doesn't come to light until after the 2012 elections? So, this is 'Obama change you can believe in'? Under the new health care bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% sales tax. If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax. This bill is set to screw the retiring generation, -- who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November, 2012 vote more important? Oh, you weren't aware that this was in the ObamaCare bill? Guess what; you aren't alone! There are more than a few members of Congress that weren't aware of it either. You can check this out for yourself at:www.gop.gov/blog/10/04/08/obamacare-flatlines-obamacare-taxes-home
Metoo999, you have wasted this blog's time! This is an internet viral lie. (Click: lie). Grrrrrrrr!
The tax that meeto is referring to is not a sales tax, it is a 3.8 % new tax on capital gains, from the sale of real estate, or a stock, or a bond, or precious metals holdings, etc. And it applies to all capital gains...and will be used to fund ObamaCare specifically. And that is on top of the additional new payroll taxes everyone will pay that used to only go to Medicare and Social Security account in the individuals' name that will now go to funding ObamaCare, and not in a separate account in the individual's name. And, of course, on top of the "penalties" and now called taxes assigned to individuals and employers who do not toe the mandates on ObamaCare purchase of Washinton, DC expensive health insurance plans. And on top of the $716 billion robbed from the Medicare Trust Funds to fund ObamaCare expansion of Medicaid and to provide subsidies to the middle class to pay for their expensive Washinton DC mandated health insurance policies.
Here is the game....we take from the individuals and institutions resources that belonged to them, siphon off a goodly percehtage of those dollars to support the expenses of all the government employees we will hire (like the 45,000 IRS lawyers and agents to enforce ObamaCare provisions on individuals and employers), grap the power over 20% if the nation's Gross Domestic Annual Product (as we grapped it over GM, and then gain the voter allegiance of the individuals who think they are given something for nothing from a benovolent government as the wool gets pulled further and further down over their eyes. Nice work if you can get it in the next four (4) years.
Anne Coulter is correct, Larry. You are a big pussy.
