A few Republicans, including former President George W. Bush senior adviser Mark McKinnon, have expressed concern about their new vice presidential wunderkind, Paul Ryan. Here's a few more stories we talked about at today's Last Word rundown meeting:
- GOP pros fret over vice presidential pick, Paul Ryan
- Soledad O'Brien, John Sununu get into wild shouting match on Medicare
- Ryan supported U.S. energy funds in Wisconsin while decrying stimulus program
- Ohio Sen. Nina Turner on voting in her state: ‘Jim Crow has been resurrected’
- Ex-Reagan budget director calls the Ryan's budget 'devoid of credible math'
- Reich: Whose plan destroys Medicare? Obama's or Romney/Ryan's?
- New book argues that President Obama's stimulus was an astonishing success

Is it possible that there is a GOP secret strategy to get rid of the Tea Party? First they alienate the Latino's, then they set women aside, they have never had the blacks in their corner, and now they are trying to push the elderly away...maybe there is method in their madness???
It's more likely that there's madness in their method.
Roy Fouts - you are not going to believe this but I was thinking the very same thing this morning! I also went as far as to question if they really want to win this election or, are they really wanting Presidnet Obama to win, fix our broken country and try to take the Presidentency in 2016.
They have shown nothing but contempt for Americans for almost 12 years so why would we think they would continue down that road for 4 more years.
I have to make a correction - I meant to say why should we think they WOULDN'T continue down that road for 4 more years.
Sorry for the error.
The only GOP "insiders" that are anonymously complaining of Romney's campaign decisions such as the choice of Paul Ryan as his running mate are the hasbeens that aren't and won't be asked to take part in the convention or the campaign ahead. Hardly worth paying attention to. One can bet that were previously found pushing Pawlenty, Santorium and Gingrich.
Almost worse than Paul Ryan's love affair with Ain Rand is Paul Ryan's praise of Canadian Conservatives, who (apparently unbeknownst to him) are pro-choice, pro-same sex marriage, pro-universal single payer health, anti-gun, and anti-capital punishment.
Prime Minister Harper? Founder and CEO of Lululemon apparel retailer? Those sort of conservative Canadians?
