- Romney punches back, both sides call each other liars

If you run a business you have to specify on your individual tax return whether
you had an "Active" or "Passive" role in the business. The tax treatments and benefits are different depending on which box you check.
If Romney left Bain and only had a "Passive" role in the firm after
1999, that would be reflected in his 2000 tax return. If however, he had an
"Active" role as suggested by the 2000 SEC filing he signed as:
President, CEO and managing partner, that would also be reflected in his 2000
tax return. To clear up the matter all he has to do is release his returns or
answer this question truthfully: "For tax purposes Mr. Romney, did your
2000 income tax return list you as an "Active or Passive" participant
in Bain Capital?
All for now.
If you are seriously looking for the correct information on this issue of Romney's leaving the active management and investment in Bain Capital in Feb, 1999 (a rather abrupt leaving too to take on the task of turning around the failing Winter Olynmpics that caused some dissention and turmoil at Bain amonst its surving active managing parners), then go to the Washington Post website and look up July 12th fact checker article that details the events, and the issues behind this spurious attack. The very liberal Boston Globe that has leveled the most recent charges had in fact published previously information in their "Book" on Romney that stated he left active management in of Bain Capital in Feb, 1999 after their exhaustive study into the issue when he was Governor. Why they have a sudden change of heart on this issue is beyond comprehension, except for impure liberal politics.
The Washington Post has concluded that the Obama campaign and their supporters are "liars, liars, pants on fire", and they really ought to get off that tactic and try to do something about the quickly approaching fiscal cliff and the worsening state of the economy instread of campaigning 24-7 like they are, basing their flimsy claim for another 4 years of this Administration on spurious attacks on the character of their opponent and rasing the ugly issues of class, race, ethnic, and gender in their desparate seeking for an avenue to gain support in the face of their economic, fiscal, and energy policy failures of the past 3 & 1/2 years.
Lawrence, Did Mitt Romney make it possible for Ralph (Lipschitz) Lauren to produce those Olympic uniforms in China ??
Other then MSNBC still trying to have a " Journalistic integrity edge"...Politicians all BS out their backsides from all sides..especially during an Election year. Romney defended himself about Bain..drop it. Obama defended himself about his birth certificate..drop it. MSNBC never defended itself against editing tape to make things appear different then they factually are..
