Back in March, Bill O'Reilly host made a bold prediction about how the Supreme Court would rule on health care. And the Fox News host promised to call himself an "idiot" if the Supreme Court found that the individual mandate is constitutional.
On Tuesday's show, MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell took a closer look at what O'Reilly said (and didn't say) in the Rewrite.

Well - did you really think we would see the day Bill O'Reilly would live up "his word"? The man is a gas-bag and his primary audience consist of mental midgets and seniors teetering on the edge of dementia. Great tactic - disappear for a few days and they'll just forget! But, not you. Love you for holding these pundits and politicians up to the videotape where their words are indelibly cast for reflection forever as is the exposure to their hypocrisy. An idiot is an idiot...and you have some of the biggest ones denouncing you and the most important issues of the day. Funny thing is it's primarily because they have not got one iota of your knowledge, experience or intelligence, nor do they possess the voracity for the TRUTH that you so gleefully love to expose. Love your "re-writes". Always one of the highlights of my day...
It is no surprise that he barely made sense out of an apologetic self deprecating moment. I am one of the FEW people to EVER change Mr. O'reillys mind. I did it on his radio show he once had before becoming the COMPLETE Murdoch shill that he now is. I did so ABOUT Obama if you care to giggle at him about it. ; ]
So to know this changes nothing. As I am one of the few to ever change anything about the mans self grandeur. . ; ]
Cheers
To Bill O'Reilly. Yes, you may. You have my permission to call yourself an idiot.
Lawrence and all the other msnbc liberal propaganda shows can only wish they had O'Reillys ratings.
Well, yes, ratings determine if something is factual or not. BTW if a network leads in all rating categories, are they main steam?
Obviously the answer is yes, Jason. Fox is Mainstream, CNN next closest, followed by PBS, and with the laggard MSNBC LEAST SO among cable news and commentary networks.
SO, foxnews is mainstream, thus a part of the mainstream media. And msnbc is NOT apart of the mainstream media or LAME stream media as Palinites will repeat
OK, I'm a liberal. I can't stand Bill O'Reilly, but the only person who looked like an idiot on your show was you. You took up far too much time repeating over and over again a silly lead to this story. It was boring.
Bill wasnt the only person who didnt see the court ruling that the mandate was unconstitutional on the comerce clause but it was constutitional as a tax. I think that even the atorneys were shocked. on that decision. The gov can now tax us for any reason.
ANY? Sorry but that is so not true. This tax/penalty is something you can avoid. Paying your FICA tax is something you cannot control, thus the difference between a tax and a penalty. Funny but the Scalia's of the court said it was NOT a tax. The point is Bill O just simply says whatever he is told to say, only those who buy what he is selling have been duped.
What a foolish child youbare Jason!
Lost me on your logic there Keith. Scalia said it was not a tax. What I enjoy so very much is you guys repeating the classic tea party saying "I agree with Roberts' ruling, I just disagree with Roberts' ruling" sounds a lot like "I hate government run health-care, just do not touch MY Medicare"
Can this gas bag do a single show without mentioning Fox. Get your own content and stop recycling the same old tired guests. You should get a tenth of the viewers BO gets. You are a condescending blowhard.
I'd say your presence here is proof Lawrence's message is on target. How about trying to put some of O'Reilly's lies out there instead of trying this rhetorical shell game?
Of course some of his here will make rhetorical roadkill of that stuff...
It would be reasonable instead of ratings--FAUX Noise does lag way behind the three broadcast networks including NBC--to discuss the veracity of what's being said?
Fact is the individual mandate is the law of the land...
Only as long as someone is in the office that want's to enforce it as "the law of the land". You see, Cab Driver, your genius of a constitutional assaistant law professor has set the precedent with his recent executive positions and orders on not enforcing DOMA and the US Immigration Laws, also laws of the land. The whole fate of this (Un)affordable Care Act lies in the state of the economy this summer and fall, and therefore Obama's tenous reelection possibilities, you know, Cab Driver.
Fact is the mandate is directly from the GOP platform, who knew?
For Grandpa... Like I said, roadkill...

You all make sure to check back a few days ago where Grandpa first brought that old cur--the one about Andrew Jackson--to this hunting party..
