We can only be certain of one thing: there will be outrage. No matter how the Supreme Court rules, the ruling will be greeted with howls of protest. As MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell explains in the Rewrite, the decision will still mean absolutely nothing for millions of Americans.
Rewriting the outrage over health care

LO'... Storm clouds over the horizon. "One is The Lonliest Number" (Three Dog Night). You are a one... me too. It's one thing to stand up for something. It is a very different thing to stand up for something...when you are...very much so...a one. That is, by definition, the real Lean... Forward. You, out of 30Rock, make perfect sense.
On this memorable day, seemingly against all odds, maybe a case of contribution plus participation, like one plus one, could become more than ...two. Less fuzzy math...more of lazer vision. Forget The Fat Lady....maybe Annie will sing "The Sun Will Come Out...Tomorrow!".
Off topic, on Bane Capital. My friend Lawrence you must NEVER underestimate the "coincidence that the Dark Night Rises has the Arch enemy of none other than... BAIN.
All the while President Obama is fighting BANE Romney.. No coincidence there my friend ; ] lol. It WILL influence the simple minded folks mark my words.
Cheers
I have no ideal why Lawrence O'Donnell felt the need to make the commentary about the limitations of the ACA in his Rewrite segment. While sometimes I agree with his commentary other times I disagree but find it thought provoking this is a case where it just left me cold. I remember how hard it was to pass the ACA. I remember the town halls where house members were shouted down and yelled at. I remember seeing John Lewis and others being yelled and spit on as they march to the capital. I remember the sense of accomplishment watching the vote. Yes ACA is not enough, but it was a major accomplishment and he knows it. Quite frankly I fine his commentary somewhat offensive.
Spot on. Yes, ACA is better than nothing, and as you clearly and beautifully point out, there is so much more to be done in the area of health care. Even if the law is upheld by SCOTUS, regrettably, our current congressional body is incapable of achieving an ideal health care system. It would take a Dem majority in both legislative bodies to do that, which will never happen as long as we have Citizen's United to control the people by keeping the mis-informed ignorant.
LO', Yes, re: healthcare... ove far too long, far too many. All Shook Up...Elvis and...we may be "in the building" pm today...if you need another perspective, on background only.
While awaiting the ruling, it struck me that I'm most excited by the possibility of Scalia flipping out. Am I bad?
The reason's that millions of people are going to be celebrating tha smack down of this unconstitutional "progressive" power grab over 20% of the nation's Gross Domestic Product is that those millions have their insurance already thru their employment, but they were not looking forward to the premium jumps AND tax increases that were coming down the pike if this monstrosity of blending Gilded Government Planned Insurance Program (one size fits all) with Charity Health into a single package passed by a temporary majority by the left wingers in Congress coupled with a Nationalist Socialist in the White House. This thing already went a long way to the 2010 national election backlash, and still fuels the issues of the 2012 desire by many to REWRITE the mistakes of the 2008 national election.
O'Donnell in a round about way called Nobama, Palosi, and Kucinich all liars. He. O'Donnell, just won't say it. Typical weak left wing socialist.
"and still fuels the issues of the 2012 desire by many to REWRITE the mistakes of the 2008 national election."
Which was fueled by the desire of a majority to rewrite the mistakes of the 2k & 04 national election mistakes!
OD" made it clear he would have done the same thing as Kucinich did and taken the advise of the late Edward Kennedy "Take what you can get for now"
