In case of an alien invasion, which presidential candidate would you trust more? National Geographic Channel conducted a real survey to find out. We're talking actual aliens, not of the illegal variety.
According to the poll, nearly 65 percent of Americans would pick President Obama to handle an extraterrestrial situation over rival Mitt Romney. (Maybe it goes back to foreign policy experience?) Breaking down the numbers even further, NGC found 68 percent of women say Obama would do a better job handling these visitors verses 61 percent of men. Younger citizens, ages 18 to 64 years, tended to side with Obama, too.
Whichever person would take on said alien invaders, we just hope they climb on to the wing of a fighter jet, like Bill Pullman's epic scene in "Independence Day," and yell at the top of their lungs, "We will not go quietly into the night!"

Not all "as dumb as they look".
On the promise of today's Dem legislators and the public option: Remember, the Dem Party swore that they would never end aid for our desperately poor, ESPECIALLY children, and they said that right up until Clinton ended aid for our poor. Americans really didn't care. They still don't. I'm pretty sure the Democratic Party died during the Reagan administration. I do know that the Party has been far more successful at passing right-wing legislation than the Republicans. Today, the poor have no representation by government. The middle class has little representation, and is shrinking away. Like Reagan said, "It's a new morning in America, " and we should have seen what a dark and stormy day it would be.
You know, DH, though I disagree with the way welfare reform was carried out, you can't say they ENDED aid for the poor without exaggeration. Or, in a word, lying.

I'd take the one with the bigest ears! Reminds me of that super effective warrior on Star Trek, Dr. Spock, even if he was an alien himself!
