We are not talking about your mom's "Calgon, take me away." Natasha Vargas-Cooper's new story in Spin Magazine is a really good primer on the synthetic drug called "bath salts." My favorite part (and by favorite, I mean the part that terrified me):
"Starting in late 2010, an influx of violent, irrational, self-destructive users began to congest hospital ERs throughout the States. A 19-year-old West Virginia man claimed he was high on bath salts when he stabbed his neighbor's pygmy goat while wearing women's underwear; a Mississippi man skinned himself alive while under the influence. Users staggered in, or were carried in, consumed by extreme panic, tachycardia, deep paranoia, and heart-attack symptoms. (Perhaps the most infamous incident tied to bath salts is Rudy Eugene's horrific face-eating attack in Miami in May, although conclusive toxicology reports have yet to be released; still, the fact that this feels like the closest thing to a credible explanation for chewing a homeless man's head for 18 minutes speaks volumes about the drug's reputation.) "

Wonder if NY's Cumo and Bloomberg want to be as forgiving on this abused drug as they are on marijuana. BTW, a recent study shows that there has been an alarming increase in the use and abuse of marijuana by adolescents of high school age, more than of these youth are reporting they smoke marijuana than smoke tobacco products.
So why are the Teapublicans pushing it on the streets? So they can make them felons and they can't vote!
I was trying to figure out why people would vote for Romney.

How toked were you when you discovered that incredibly bizzare paranoid idea that "Teapublicans" are out to create a class of felons so their voting privaleges can than be taken away from them by "pushing" the "weed" on the streets. Do you realize how mentally damaged you are, pot head? Keep on sucking it down! Lung cancer is what we Tea Party Republicans have as your final awakening.
If all you can do is insult someone based on their opinion you aren't proving any points. Let XXX have his fun and maybe present an alternative view that would actually make him stop and think. By the way if you would post your '' recent study '' That might be a little more convincing than just a mention. Kids make mistakes and more than most grow out of childish behavior. I think a little faith in children and the parents that raise them can go a long way. The actions of a child are ultimately reflected on the parent after all.
Ahhh....I raised a couple of good, strong, responsible children myself, Susan. And I worked both directly and tangentially in programs threating people with addiction disorders, including with a special emphasis on adolescents.
xxx doesn't have an alternative viewpoint that makes any kind of sense. And when one talks sheeet like he does, one needs to have it pushed back in one's face. Someone like xxx is only interested in their own thoughts on matters, not other peoples. That was obvious from his post, Susan.
