The two candidates have very different sports of choice. Obama's is as American as apple pie. Romney's sport of choice has a background that is a bit more multi-national. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell explains in the Rewrite.

Basketball was invented by a Canadian for people that process less strength. Am supposed to think Romny is un american because he owns a expensive show horse? This is weak even for msnbc,Lawrence you sound desperate.
Attorney General Eric Holder grilled by Congress and movement going forward to hold him in contempt of Congress...not a word on that by MSNBC on this blog, and we get this kind of desparate nonsense instead? Geeze Louise....get a life, O'Donnell.
Ok, I can see how "dressage" is an easy target. However, Lawrence, I find it hard to think of my daughter, her horses (past and present) and her fellow young competitors as UnAmerican. The USEF has more than 80,000 individual members, more than 2,700 member competitions, and 100 affiliate organizations, the Federation oversaw 26 breeds and disciplines of competition. Many of these organization are local, small horse shows with competitors that are literally backyard horses. While I am the first to admit, getting into showing horses requires more money than brains, one can participate on a modest budget and alot of shoveling...which my daughter did for years to support her sport - yes - I said it...sport. Additionally, if you have ever watched Rodeo (I would consider that quite American!), those horses are actually trained by using (gulp) dressage methods. Dressage literally means "training." A western show horse is doing dressage! So, Lawrence, saddle up, put your 10 gallon hat on, and enjoy the beautiful athletes - both horses and riders.

I have become increasingly disenchanted with you. You are very shrill. Your show should be renamed "The Blast Word" As for the Romneys and dressage, what's wrong with that?
