The Obama re-election campaign keeps hammering Mitt Romney for his economic record as governor of Massachusetts, today releasing a new ad saying "we've heard it all before." Here are some other stories starting the week in politics.
- New York Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg seek to decriminalize marijuana
- Wrangling over Massachusetts job growth numbers
- Wisconsin recall battle finally goes to the voters
- Study: Romney and allies running far more negative ads than Obama
- President Obama win could cost Romney $5 million in personal taxes
- Nancy Pelosi wants Hillary Clinton to run for President again
- Jeb Bush backs higher taxes, enrages Grover Norquist
- Round-up of Sunday political talk shows by The Daily Beast

Great stuff...one Democrat Party surrogate lies, and the other swears to it! Those tactics on the political talk shows are soooo ridiculous.
See my comments on the blog posing above specific to the Obama attack ad coming out on the heels of the dismal economic report of the rise in unemployment rate, the failure to even come close to meeting the 150K to 200K necesserary new jobs for the past three months now after the revisions downward for March and April and Mays anemic 69,000 only new jobs reported by the his own Labor Department. Now the Obama camp have only the flimsy excuses of Europe, Bush, and the Congress to blame. Time to look at your own stupid attacks on the business community, your deficit spending and the accompanying constant threat to raise taxes, including job killing capital gain taxes, the burdens of runaway legisltions and an overzealous EPA, the lack of support for developing our own fossil fuel resources while attempting to punish the oil and gas companies by removing their depreciation and exploration and development tax credits that all other industries enjoy, and the refusal to take action to curb the currency manipultion and trade violations of China.
Time to get the Sol Lewinski amateur back to Chicago to his community organizing role and biographical book authoring and turn the Federal Government's Executive Branch over to someone compentent. And don't even get me started on the do nothing Democrat Party control of the Senate, that has stopped a budget from being passed for three years now, and won't take up any of the 21 jobs and economy aiding bills passed by the House of Representatives.
H. Clinton actually formulated the workfare agenda by which the poor can be used as super cheap temp labor, serving as replacement labor -- a useful tool for preventing unionizing efforts, suppressing wages, etc. As a direct result of Clinton's welfare reform, so much of which was formulated by H. Clinton, the infant mortality rate among America's poor now exceeds that of some Third World countries, and the life expectancy of our poor has been on a downhill slide. We're cool with that. (I guess our motto can be, "Better dead than fed.") An important point: Historically, when the richest few gained the upper hand, the poor and middle classes always united to successfully push back, to the benefit of both. Not this time. Together, the Clintons set out to Divide and Conquer (the masses), and they were very successful. So far, the middle class has shrink by nearly 1/3 -- they didn't vanish, but became poor, some working, some far worse off. That's a LOT of votes that the Dems continue to throw away. It doesn't make sense for the poor to vote for the best interests of a middle class that threw the poor over the cliff. Clintons' "New Democrats," from scapegoating the poor to NAFTA, have been poison to the working class. We'll see how much of an impact the Clintons' influence has on the upcoming elections. Here in WI, the talk leading up to the recall has ONLY been about "middle class workers." The poor, who participated at the start a year and a half ago, were pushed out of the discussion entirely, and most (to my knowledge) have no interest in voting to recall Walker. In an election so close, those votes are very important. "Solidarity forever -- or until you lose your job" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
We'll see how that works out for you in Wisconsin in an hour or so when the results of the recall election shock the Obama camp!
No one other than the permanently disabled are "entitled" to live on welfare indefinitely, even if they were breeding out of wedlock in order to qualify for the government largesse. And even the diabled were better off mentally and physicaly with programs assisting them to join the nations workforce to the level they individually could. The Republican's in Congress dragged Clinton screaming and kicking to the welfare reform of the 90s and the balanced budgets that he now brags on as his signature accomplishments.
By the way, did you see Clinton's interview on CNBC today with Maria Barteroma where he called for Obama and the Democrats to pass again the the Bush tax cuts to stave off the impending recession?
Wisconsin results in: signed sealed and delivered by blowout margin of 9 points for Walker's austerity plans and fiscal responsibility to the betterment of public and private sector employers and employees and taxpayers!
Democrat Debbie Wasserman-Schultz said it early on: the Wisconsin recall election results will be a foretelling of the November elections. The Lean Forward crowd just fell on their faces. Toast is up, breakfast is served! LOL!
