That's on Obama. He's not spending to make up for legislation passed by Congress during the Bush years, the last two years of such (or 25% of his years in office) were in a Congress that was under Democrat control, both Houses.

Bin Ladin was isolated. He wasn't a factor. His wifes have been under investigation and we know he was on the run and out of contact with Al Quada leadership in the years he was continuously running for cover. And Sadam Husein, who had been threatening to bring devasting war to the oil rich Middle East was killed during the Bush Administration. And that may not have been as symbolically significant as the killing of Bin Ladin, but it was more important. And the iraq Government left in his wake is a friend of the US and Western powers, and not a resentful enemy.

BTW: Doesn't it seem peculiar to you that when Homeland Security is issuing warnings of the possibility of strikes against U.S. citizens on the aniversary of Bin Ladin's killings that the Democrat Party and Obama are hyping up the anniversary for a campaign celebration? Seems odd to me, warn and court trouble at the same time, all for politival gain.

Then ask yourself the question, do you feel more safe under this President who has done nothing to crack down on Iran and North Korea, the other two rogue nations in the original Axis of Evil who still are on there merry way to joining the group of neuclear armed nations. You've been sucking up the pablum. The non partisan Office of the Congressional Budget published the deficit spending for the wars, the amount of which was deficit spending included in the totals of deficit spending during Bushes term in office.

The amounts of those deficits were certainly debated by Congress, as was the cost of the Medicare Part D.

There are some provisions in our Federal Government to "hide" expenditures of the CIA, but the funds for those expenditures are in fact in other federal agency's budgets as voted on by the Congress of the United States. And a bipartisan oversight committee of comprised of Senators and Representatives keeps track of the disbursements of those funds.

It's a little easier to hide expenditures if you have no budget, and of course, the Obama administration was able to get away with quite a lot of transfer of federal dollars into patronage expenditures out of his Stimulus (Job Recovery Act) enacte in Obama's first year in office which was established outside of the budget passed by the Democrat Party controlled Congress in the last year of the Bush Presidency.

lets not only blame President Obama and the democratic party for NOT having a budget. the repubs have agreed to very little, and they have PERFECTED the art of the filibuster and obstructionism, directly related to the meeting that the repubs had on the very day President Obama was inaugurated.

1) The deficit spending under both Bush and Obama is OFF BUDGET, NOT OFF THE BOOKS! It was reported. The US Treasurey, the President's Budget Director, and the Congressioal Office of the Budget are all required to report deficit spending, and do so, and they numbers are hotly debated in both the Senate and House and appear in the Congressional Record. Ditto for the Medicare Part D provisions.

2) The stimulus bill passed and signed by George Bush was $120 billion of rebates to single and married taxpayers with tax liabilities, and was deficit fininaced, of course. There were some billions in diret payments more that went to Disabled Veterans and Senior Citizens with limited Social Security income in an attempt to weather the downturn caused by the subprime mortgage failures and credit default attack on the nation's and the world's financial system. There were also some billions more that went to industries and businesses for new equipment and building costs as an incentive.

3) The Obama stimulus passed by and signed by Obama in February of 2009 was a $787 billion monstrosity, all deficit financed, that included hundreds of billions of deficit spending for transfer payments to states and municipalities, hundreds of billions more of medicaid and extended unemployment benefits to the states, and hundreds of billions more in federal government contracts that pretty much were not anywhere near the "shovel ready" status that they hyped us on, and went to patronage transfers of deficit financed spending primarily to those states and municipalities and eduction institutions that had Democrat Party majorities in their electorate.

Is that clear enough for you?

A registered Democrat, he wrote a scathing letter to the editor of the leftist NY Times calling the Bush, English, French, NATO, and UN Nation's concern and attempts to find out if Iraq had been operating a covert nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, using oil for food monies that the military dictatorship siphoned off from the Iraqi peoples after the First Gulf War, which was fought due to Iraq's attempts to control the oil reserves and production of its immediate neighbors.
