Major Powers writing on "Lame Duck Hell" appears to have missed the memo that the Debt Ceiling will need to be raised just around Labor Day as the Obama Administration, unfettered by a budget for the third year now, has continued spending at rates that nobody figured on when they thought that bridge didn't have to be crossed until after the election was over.
And the word is the Rebublicans aren't going to buy into a temporary measure to get Obama past the election....instead, they will wrap all the other issues into one package and tell this profligate fool he can take it or leave it.
The Republicans in Congress are not about to go down the route Obama and the Dems put them through last summer. Oh we will hear the same bluff and bluster about "shutting down the government" and not being able to guarentee "Social Security and Veterans benefits will be sent on on time". But the fact of the matter is Obama and the Dems have had a year to come to the realization that they needed to seriously cut the excess spending, but apparently they just doubled down, believing the more they greased up the economy with slippery federal dollars the better the economy would be by election day. Doesn't appear that they got what they were hoping for going by the 1st Quarter economic statistics this calander year.
A pitiful 2.2 GDP for the 1st Quarter of this year announced today, with an uptick of both production costs prices and labor prices signalling the coming inflation that the Fereral Reserve continued to pooh pooh just last week.
Don't look for very healthy income tax withholding payments to offset the deficit spending still ongoing by our outofcontrol Federal Government. It is well recognized that we need several successive quarters of at least 3&1/2 to 4 GDP Growth to be a healthy economy, and begin to impact the high unemployment numbers we are burdened with. It's not coming under this administration's disastrous policies and practices, however.
Wonder why Lawrence hasn't said a word about the John Edwards trial. He and his guest's practically tried and convicted George Zimmerman on the air. Yet he has not said anything about Edwards. He slamed Newt Gingrich for fooling around on his wife, but says nothing about slime ball Edwards who does the same thing, all while his wife is dying of cancer. Plus he knocks up his mistress. Lawrence has not said a word, maybe he doesn't want to talk about his liberal, left wing brother. Lawrence is a joke.
