What's the old saying? The wheels of justice turns slow or something like that.
"Grind slowly", I believe, Gladys.
Where does racism come from? The dictionary defines it as ‘The
prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of
other races,’ but is prejudice not practiced by all races? Does not prejudice
exist even within a single race against the ‘weak minded,’ ‘the physical
challenged,’ and the women? Do we not enslave such peoples? We pass equality
laws to protect all these classes of people, but we still practice racism,
prejudices, and enslave women to bear our children. Our primal instinct says to
take advantage of these weaker peoples; even enjoying the fruits of slavery
when we fantasize. Imagine owning a young beautiful woman, and commanding what
ever your deep, dark mind desires; or how about a young, fresh boy; if they
disobey, you can beat them to death, and buy another.
Why do we covet such complete dominance over another human? If
we cannot own that person’s will, then we jealously employ violence against
this lesser being. Slaves have existed since Eve became Adam’s chattel, but
rarely ever treated as nicely as Eve experienced.
These feelings dwell from each owner’s deepest, primitive need
to dominate; therefore, if you are a woman, different, or a foreigner, or
pretty, or any other whim a slave owner is willing to pay, you risk becoming a
slave yourself. Not only must you obey your Master, or be beat into obedience, but
also you have no opportunity to marry into the rich family because they will
racially mistreat and exclude you; they will practice prejudice against you
simply because you are or were a slave. You ask why. The Oppressor hates the
oppressed.
What does it feel like to be the slave; the minority?
Envision you being dragged onto the ground where you stand this minute, and regardless you be male, or female; child or adult; you are raped by any paying customer 24 hours, 365 days in order for your owner to pocket your money. If you die, the owner will go buy another slave; you are only property, but not human.
This environment was the normal social reality for thousands
of years practiced in most places on this planet—until United States citizens fought
against the evil of slavery; Americans killed Americans. Black slaves from Africa
(bought cheap, but sold high) looked like foreigners; mentioned in the Holy
Bible; they could not speak English; and having to feed them as well made them
ideal for our young American culture. In addition, these slaves could not
escape back to their homeland. We Americans really did not wish to end slavery
for many selfish reasons. The primary reason stems from the fact ‘they’ were
slaves, but ‘we’ are not.
Mysteriously, Americans pointed out the despair these fellow
humans suffered. Why did we Americans, who had every reason to keep slavery
legal, make a case for these foreigners?
We do not mix religion in our politics, but we waged a war
to say to the entire human race that slavery, prejudices, and discrimination
are evils that our Nation will not accept. With our ancestor’s blood, this
debate made all Americans free at last; it is now America.
If you are a pseudo Confederate Rebel who still believes Black or different
skinned Americans are not your equal, then you must wish to fight again. If you
fight America, then you are obviously on the wrong side while living here on these blood-spilt lands.
Academia has repeatedly returned research results showing
racist beliefs hinders social development, and has the potential to destroy our
country. We must all learn to expunge these deep, dark, and primitive racist desires.
So, where does racism come from? It comes from all of us. It
is a natural, primal instinct to dominate, and elevate ones’ self, but the path
to civilized behavior, and evolve into higher being is for all of us to—grow
up. The Civil War ended many years ago.
Mankind is never so grievously enslaved but when dominated bi his or her's groundless fears"
I don't know what the quotations are there for, but it does appaear you are revealing something more about your own tortured psyche with all that bodice ripping gothic romance sexually charged imagry incorporated in your adolescent ramblings on the human condition.
As I walk, and work, and recreate, and converse with my family, friends, neighbors, coemployees of the past, and every day asociates and interested citizenry in 21st Century America, I know no one remotely close to the representation that you give of inhumanity in your above hand wringing infantile wail! Try getting real, instead of sensational.
We were never so enslaved as when we fell victim to childish discomfort of our own "bad" thoughts and demons under our beds. You've got a lot of growing up to do before you can blog with the grownups, Danny boy.
danny, i think there is racism in all of us. with some its closer to the surface.
