Zimmerman's condition on the police tape

Hello,
I was listening to the Last Word of
Fri, Mar 30, 2012 12:22am EDT regarding the Zimmerman case. I heard Zimmerman's side making all kinds of comments and their witnesses being interviewed by one media outlet or other.
I think that all this media discussion is actually helping Zimmerman's side, because they are continuiing the discussion in the public forum and, at will. As long as the discussion is carried on, and charges against Zimmerman are not filed, he (Zimmerman) remains free. That is their strategy!! We can all discuss this till doomsday; nothing or noone can get them to charge Zimmerman. Ultimately, they are working to get the Jury pool contaminated, so that the case (if they ever charge him with a crime) will be worthless. This is nothing but a Delaly Tactic ad Infinitum!
So, the media should not show any more clips or interviews on any of the news shows like Last Word or the Ed show. As soon as the attention is dropped, the Special Prosecutor's office will be able to do what they are supposed to do!!

One of your best shows, Lawrence.
Great job!
Information from “The Curious Case of Trayvon Martin” by Op-Ed Columnist, Charles M. Blow, the New York Times, Published: March 16, 2012
The Miami Herald published an article on Thursday [March 15] that said three witnesses had heard the “desperate wail of a child, a gunshot, and then silence.”
Zimmerman [later] said he was the one yelling for help.
WFTV [a local television station] also reported this week that the officer in charge of the scene when Trayvon was shot was also in charge of another controversial case. In 2010, a lieutenant’s son was video taped attacking a black homeless man. The officer’s son also was not initially arrested in that case. He was later arrested when the television station broke the news.
According to the local news station WFTV, Zimmerman was arrested in 2005 for “battery on a law enforcement officer.”
Furthermore, ABC News reported on Tuesday that one of the responding officers “corrected a witness after she told him that she heard the teen cry for help.”
[I ask, does that ABC reporter mean, that an officer was ‘telling’ one of the three witnesses that it was ‘Zimmerman’ that he or she heard yelling for help instead of Trayvon? This is beginning to sound to me, almost like an ‘organized’ hate crime between that one officer at the scene and Zimmerman, or just that police officer. Maybe that one police officer had already responded on the seen to the 911 call, and he shot the teen and is letting Zimmerman take the public fall, while not pursuing the arrest of Zimmerman. Perhaps that is why that officer thought to correct a witness that it was Zimmerman yelling for help, not Trayvon, to protect himself and Zimmerman.]
Oh, but I would not give up totally on that police department. Perhaps ‘if‘ Zimmerman’s head was bashed against cement and he was punched in the nose, it was ‘after’ he was taken to the station, where one of the police officers might have lost his cool with what he thought Zimmerman did to Trayvon. Perhaps that might be why the police department is no longer involved in the investigation.
The many possibilities are why we ‘all’ need law enforcement to carefully investigate any crime and I do hope that the black community never gives up on pursuing justice.
The one interesting piece to your theory is that if you listen to the 911 tapes, there were two guys with flashlights almost immediately after the gunshots went off. People looked out their windows. They saw this within seconds of the shooting.
Certainly not trying to fuel that conspiracy, but just thought I would note that.
closeup of zimmermans head at police station show 2 gashes on back of his head which is consistent with police report that he was treated at the scene. time for msnbc to apoligize to zimmerman
Has anyone in the 21st century died from "gashes" of this magnitude?
he didnt die cause he defended himself by using deadly force to combat deadly force
Deadly force causes death. If Zimmerman was a victim of this, he would be in a lot worse shape than these so-called "gashes".......that is the point.
Treyvon was justified in using deadly force to defend himself from the armed man who assaultedhim.... a 17 year old child, at night, with a gun. "Stand your ground" law applies to Trayvon, NOT Zimmerman.
I would like to apologize for my (permanent un-edit-able) comments in the postabove about that one police officer on the scene. I guess, like many people, I keep thinking law enforment's usual response to someone killed is missing in this case, so I am trying to figure out that moral justice for myself. (What a dope I am, huh? Zimmerman already confessed to shooting the teen himself.)
It sounds to me; like, that, officer was already on the scene responding to the 911 call and witnessed part of the situation. Perhaps the officer really though it was Zimmerman yelling for help instead of Trayvon at the time, when it was Trayvon. Maybe it was Zimmerman, I don't know.
Would law enforcement, please, hurry up and report on the investigation so that some of the rest of us could quit thinking 'we' are smarter than the police are?
Perhaps in Zimmerman’s suspicious pre-Jesus judgment, when the girlfriend on the phone told Trayvon to run, Zimmerman assumed his running meant he was guilty of something, got out of his car, and went after the young man.
Remember, according to ABC News, Zimmerman was arrested once for picking a physical fight with a police officer. (Too bad the neighborhood that hired him as watchman did not do a background check.)
Zimmerman stalked, scared and emotionally provoked that teen even if the teen might have assaulted him. Also, if the teen yelled help before or during any struggle, that assault was self-defense on Trayvon’s part.
Why would Zimmerman, a man with a gun, yell help before he shot someone? (Is this something I missed from the NRA's agenda; you always yell help right before you shoot?)
Maybe because he did not want to use it. Who knows?
You could make other logic questions maybe like:
If GZ called the Police and KNEW that they were arriving on just shoot someone?
Let us not forget this is one of the many injustices imposed on specifically Black people and other minorities. Trayon case is very important! Let's not lose site of the women who died in jail after being ejected from St. Mary's Hospital. Let's not forget about the you women (Rekia Boyd) shot and killed by police officers while in the presence a young black man using a cell phone - which officers thought was a gun (Chicago).
The war by authorities which include the police, politicians and the justice system against primarily black people rages forward with no justice and no light at the end of the tunnel.
These injustices will not end! What the American system of justice is seeming saying, 'and there is nothing Black people and other minorities can do about it!".
If Mitt Romney becomes president - it will be worst! we might as well get use to chains and plantations all over again!
If there may be blood anywhere on George Zimmerman, why aren't any of the officers wearing gloves? It is my understanding that any & all emergency responders need to wear gloves while dealing with bloody evidence--if only to protect themselves. The officer actually touching Zimmerman's supposedly bloody clothing is not wearing gloves. Where are the gloves?
Why isn' Zimmerman covered with Trevon's blood? Trevon was on top of him, says Zimmerman. Trevon was shot in the chest. Zimmerman had to have shot up to get a bullet in Trevon's chest. That hole in the chest must have gushed blood. Why wasn't Zimmerman covered with the blood of his victim?
Billie,
Why do you think this? You watch too many movies. It takes some time for the real bleeding to start ( a few seconds at least)
My (GUESS) is that TM was BLOWN backwards off of GZ then rolled over on his face. So the real blood would be just under TM in the grass not in the front of GZ shirt.
What I don't understand is how the very basic, undeniable facts in this case aren't enough for an arrest. Here is what I think everyone will agree with: 1) An adult with a gun shot an unarmed minor 2) This man pursued this kid against the direction of the 911 operator. That's enough for me to reasonably think this warrants a trial already.
Now add that even if there were punches or whatever attacks made by Trayvon, EVEN IF HE STARTED THE PHYSICAL FIGHT, Zimmerman is obviously not in a life or death situation, only Trayvon is. This is also only after being pursued by an adult with a gun.
I am about the same build and age as Zimmerman, my younger brother the size and age of Trayvon. There is no way I could ever feel threatened enough by him that my life would be in danger in a confrontation like that. This is a man vs. a boy, and the man has the gun! The video from the police station, in all its graininess, is enough evidence to prove the fight wasn't life or death.
This sets a precedent that an adult can pick a fight with a child, wait for the child to fight back, and then shoot him and walk away. Is this how we want to live?
I guess that the MEDIA is finally starting to let this die down. I find that now the MEGA MILLIONS is more on the front pages than this case. It is getting hard to find a link to this case.
When someone wins I guess this news will be no longer covered. Maybe this is a good thing and everyone in Sanford can go back to a more normal life....
Of course O'Donnell and Sharpton, two of the dullest tools in the MSNBC tool box, will continue on with their circus sideshow long past the time others realize the errors of their jumping to conclusion race baiting ways. At least Mathews tonight had the good sense to shut the ravings of the top race baiter from the NAACP who was rambling on about Zimmerman getting out of his vehicle with a loaded gun in his hand with the intention of running down and shooting a black kid..recoiling visibly, Mathews said "You don't know that..You didn't see that, you can't say that!" Last couple of weeks you could say anything crazy about this case with inpunity on these cable shows, but that is quickly ending!CNN is wising up, and Fox had it right from the beginning. Amazing that the network with the most invested in perpetuating the circus is the one with the lowest ratings, and they haven't got a clue as to why!
Even though Zimmerman was cuffed, he was NOT arrested. THAT's why they did not weigh him and we do not have current weight - only the one from 6 years ago when he was about 250 pounds. This is important information for when they try to claim that they can't prosecute him later because the 175 days had expired post-arrest. They would've HAD to weigh him if he had been arrested!
Geeze Luise. Thats way down in the weeds. Just what is the meaning of that conspiratorial piece of nonsense!
The truth is simply if they arrested him, they would have had to convince a judge to sign a warrent for the arrest, and they would have had to have the evidence to begin a Grand Jury process and bring forth the charges within 36 hours they planned to bring Zimmetman to trial on. If they tried murder, or negligent homicide, they would need to refute two adult eyewitnesses who's statements supported Zimmerman's statement and reeactment. They are still investigating, but it is very hard, no matter the twisting and spinning by folks like MSNBC and the serial race baiters, to see where the evidence will come from to disprove the eyewitness and Zimmerman's statements of justifyable shooting in self defense.
i know you dems are sad about olberman getting fired from current tv so im going to give you a break for awhile. lmao
I am confused about the timeline. Trayon gets shot at 7:25. The police start questioning Zimmerman at 7:30. The released police video shows a time of 19:52 which is 7:52. I did a Google map search of the driving time from the shooting site to the police station and it should have taken the police car about 15 minutes to cover that distance, based on the Google map estimate. That would have the police cruiser with George Zimmerman leaving the crime scene at about 7:37. Assumming the EMT's were already there (not likely). So in the best case, that gives the police and the EMT's SEVEN minutes to question and get George Zimmerman cleaned up and presentable for the released police video. Is this math wrong?
jhg.
Witnesses who were on the phone to police, two that I know of, reported hearing a shot fired. The times of those calls, amd the time of the reports of a shot fired is known to the police, and known to the States Attorney and Special prosecutor's team still investigating. I have'nt seen that those authorities have released anything ontime tables, especially the time of ths shooting. So just what are your sources?
Olberman fired by Al Gore! Now that is rughtous!
How is this nonsense at all responsible? Have we already forgotten that medical diagnosis via TV is a VERY BAD IDEA? Did you already forget about the Terry Schrivel silliness?
I am not siding with anyone on the issue, I do want to say I thought I saw head lacerations on the back of Mr. Zimmerman's in the original police station video and felt that the all the commentators on the show last week were too quick to say they saw little evidence of the head banging he claims. Today I saw enhancement of that video, on ABC, and I believe it shows much more clearly he did have injuries to the back of his head. I hope tonight this is at least clarified on the show.
Without taking sides it appears all the commentators jumped at the first video last week of Mr. Zimmerman and were quick to say he didn't appear to be hurt with injuries to the back of his head. Today(Monday) we see clearer pictures showing those injuries which I thought I did detect even on the grainy images last week, but no one commented or looked closely enough. I hope tonight the show will correct what can actually be seen in the pictures, especially ABC showing enhanced photos today.
Central Mass:
Stop holding your breath waiting for any correction of any distortion of fact or truth carefully manipulated by editors, producers, and "talent" (all past political operatives of the Democrat Party with a need to rally their base, and distract from the discussions of the failures of this administration especially of policies of economic and financial and energy importance vital to the recession's hard hit black communities. IT is all pure race baiting by this network, and their sorry but unapologetic "news" parent organization NBC that fron the very beginning manipulated the taped conversations of a police dispatcher and the neighbood watch officer to make it appear that he, Zimmerman, was racially profiling the trespasser Martin, who had been reported by Zimmerman to be walking about in the backyards of townhouses in the gated community looking into the houses.
WTF do they mean by simply releasing a statement that they, NBC are conducting an internal investigation into their editorial policies and practices while nightly their race baiting reporting and commentary unapologetically rolls along like a hate filled river, drowning out the voices of caution and moderation in our society.
FOR SHAME NBC AND MSNBC, FOR SHAME FOR THE VILE BRAND OF JOURNALISM YOU ARE PRACTICING!
