What else can anyone expect? He is his dad I personally would expect nothing less. Is he wrong? Of course he is. Is he a damn fool for attacking The President of the United States? Most definetly. However I would be very amazed if he did not feel compelled to do what he did as far as defending his son goes... especially if he does not know any more than we do. I disagree with him completely but he has the right to defend.
Now to a slightly different matter. I do know what this will bring but I am compelled to say this. Racial bias is at the center of this whole situation and it is being shouted from the roof tops. I do agree Zimmerman most probably is a very bigotted person, most of the evidence says he is. However and here it comes...... was Spike Lee acting out of bigotry and racial bias in his actions of posting an address he thought belonged to Zimmerman or his parents? Any media person be it Rev Al or anyone else does a major disservice to everyone if they do not include Mr Lee's biased reaction. He actually made the matter worse in my opinion and I would hope someone like Lawrence who seemingly never holds back what he thinks and feels especially in his Rewrite needs to address Mr Lee's bias or we will never truly begin to see the end of siutations such as the one with Trayvon. When the bias and bigotry and anger is fueled no matter from which side it is fueled and that is not a good thing unless it is openly addressed by the very same people who have for days been seemingly saying it is a white or in this case a Latino is a bigot. It is going to take both sides not merely one to solve the problem over what I think will be many years yet.
This is getting old. Let the SAO finish their investigation and decide whether to bring any charges to Zimmerman. Everything you hear in the media is speculation. Justice needs to be served, but for the right person and the right reason. The police video means little.
To me Mr Zimmerman's statement's demonstrate that racism runs deep in this family. Fruit does not fall far from the tree.
We got our first glance at the Zimmerman clan's take on Blacks with George. "those aholes always get away" "ucking coons". And Zimmerman senior rambles on about the hate spewed by Obama? and everything else black in politics and civil rights. While attacking his son's young victim at the same time.
Think about it, Zimmerman senior made a career of sentencing and administering punishment to people many of whom where black. I think George thought he was entitled to do the same and I bet he had his fathers blessings.
Everything I see supports that now that Zimmerman dad has spoken out.
Absolutely right.
There were questions as to whether the shooter is a bigot or not.
And then his father speaks, and now there is no doubt.
Now, I am wondering about those young black men over whose cases he has judged.
Why are people looking for a word to explain if someone is a bigot or not?
I doesn't matter if he said c/goon or not. Actions speak louder than words.
zimmermans father did what any father would do. i would lie to keep my son out of prison. would you? im not saying hes lying but lets let the facts come out
