Congressman Bobby Rush got booted off the House floor on Wednesday for wearing his hoodie up.
As a tribute to slayed teen Trayvon Martin, the Democrat from Illinois took off his suit jacket while speaking, all Mister Rogers-style, revealing a hooded sweatshirt underneath. He commended supporters of Trayvon Martin for speaking out in the case and declared, "just because someone wears a hoodie, doesn't make him a hoodlum."
Rep. Greg Harper, who was presiding over the chamber, banged his gavel to no avail and eventually had him escorted off away from the podium. Rush kept on talking.
Apparently, the House considers a hoodie close enough to a hat, which is a violation of their strict dress code. After Rush was finally escorted out, Rep. Greg Harper reminded members hats (and hoods) are a no-no when the House is in session.

As to Congressman Bobbie Rush attempting to channel Martin on the House of Representatives Floor, all I can say is that as to the juvenile deliquent trespasser wanabee gangsta drug dealer Martin, if it acts like a duck, walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, its a duck. Bobbie Rush would best serve his constituents by trying to disuade black youth from copycat gangsta rapper lifestyles, not attempting to honor that strangeness on the House Floor in D.C.

I am a Liberal, and I am one of many who thinks that Zimmerman got everything that he wanted. The right to BULLY somebody, to fulfill his desire to be a wannabe COP, and a chance to KILL somebody under the BARBARIC NRA/Bush gun lobby law. That said, members off both houses have to follow a basic dress code. Because the Tea-party has dumbed this country down so much, in the last two years, tell Rush to keep their last ounce of civility, and dress the part of a Congressman.

Last time I looked, Bobby Rush had a (D) after his name and was about the furthest from a Tea Party supporter there is. Bobby has been in congress since 1993, as has Corrine "Mensa" Brown. Their stupidity pre-dates the Tea Party. Perhaps you may want to re-work your thesis....
For George Zimmerman, the trigger-happy confessed murderer, the "Neighborhood Watch" gives good cover for dodging police arrest and incarceration until trial for being armed and loaded and firing a hand gun you may carry in public to commit murder of "a suspicious person in a hooded sweater, walking on the sidewalk while black." Note for Lawrence: Request the FBI or the town police dept. to confiscate the computer of the confessed murderer. It may reveal Republican bigoted e-mails of anti-Obama, anti-black screeds and photos that would show him under the influence of his local and inter-net hate group?

Now we learn that Zimmerman was reporting to police Martin, acting suspiciously in the gated community that had been hard hit by breakins and thefts and property damage was in fact going through the dark backyards, not the well lit sidewalk, and Zimmerman was attempting to keep him under watch until the young 6'3" late years teen assaulted him.
So Congress has a dress code! Big whoop!!! If the IL. rep were white, I'll bet it would have made all the difference and he could have spoken.

Representing what?? All the wrong things in this society? Morons such as yourself? Disrespect for the entire Congress (with the turds that inhabit Congress, that one may be OK)? Are the heroes today gang bangers and other uneducated scum? Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Corrine Brown, Bobby Rush. I feel bad for Americans of African descent if this is the hero pool they draw from. The pool is not very deep.
(Every time I ask if things could get weirder...) I can't speak for all the people you listed, beyond saying that they are no more "gang-bangers" than Queen Elizabeth. I can say that both Jesse Jackson and Bobby Rush are well-educated men with long, honorable records of standing for fundamental human and civil rights. Both are people who have had to prove their courage and integrity, and they have done so successfully. Both are men who did more than sit in their easy chairs and grumble -- they got up and did the hard work needed to bring us closer to the sort of decent country we should be.
Honorable records?? Rush: "We advocate offensive violence against the power structure." He was imprisoned for 6 months on a weapons conviction as a Black Panther. Aren't Black Panther's the ones with a bounty on Zimmerman's head? Jesse Jackson honorable ? This fool changed universities because he claimed racial discrimination when he was not chosen quarterback of the football team. The only problem with this assertion is the quarterback chosen was black! His support of the racially charged Duke Lacrosse rape case (like Al Sharpton and Tawanna Brawley) was total race baiting. The case was thrown out of court. How about Mr. Equality's remarks about Jews in New York? This guy is a phoney! I stand by my statement that these morons represent hatred, race baiting, and all that is wrong if we are to coexist. Blacks need better heroes.

And today we learn of an eye witness that was interviewed at the scene by police that ovserved two men wrestling in the dark backyard of a house with one yelling for help, and then a gunshot. Later they saw Mr. Zimmerman walking on the sidewalk holding his head. Police informed the eye witness that if it made him feel better for having had to witness the incident, that the man yelling for help was still alive.
Obviously, quite to the contrary of the race baiters like the Black Panthers who are demanding an arrest of Mr. Zimmerman and are issuing threats of death, bonuses for anyone coming forward knowing where he can be found, and gamsta' glorifying Spike Lee giving out fictious addresses that put an elderly couple in jeopardy; all part of the MSNBC inflamed circus in this tragic case that Bobbie Rush personafield on the House of Representatives floor.
Has anybody read looked at the police reports about the "rash of break-ins"? One was a kid that stole another kid's xbox. He was caught. Another was a person that stole a computer. He was caught.
I have followed the information coming out about Trayvon Martin. And listened to the 911 tapes. Some things that are not yet explained,
1)if his nose got broken, most likely zimmerman would have had black eyes, did he?
2)if trayvon was on top of zimmerman, that means his legs would have been blocking zimmerman's gun which was at zimmerman's waist, so how was zimmerman able to get his gun?
3)where was trayvon's phone in relation to his body?
I had thought that the police did not do their job securing the crime scene and documenting evidence, but with the latest information released, I think some person higher up in government wanted to sweep the information "under the rug".
ANd do I believe Zimmerman made the racist comments? Yes. Especially after Zimmerman's father spoke out about the hate of the President and everybody else. I mean the President chose his words carefully, not demonizing Zimmerman at all, but when a person sees those words as hateful, that person most likely has racist attitudes that he or she passes on to his/her children.
Yup, and sitting in your easy chair with your nose in the newspapers and eyes fixated on the big screen while the cable "news" blowhards with an agenda feed you bull@!$%# and carefully edited tapes to make this case something it isn't makes you an expert?
