I've seen Immelt on CNBC with the rest of the whining snotbubbling republicans like Santelli and Kernen, crying that Obama does'nt treat corporations right. He and Wall St. thought their campaign donations in 2008 would buy them a yazza boss, step and fetchit black guy.And now they have found that the black guy can think for himself. He can see what greed has done to the country and he does'nt like it.Immelt and Wall St.have'nt given jack $hit to the Obama campaign this time around. Why?Because he "crossed em"he he committed the corporate cardinal sin, he spoke against them. With any luck,Obama will be reelected and go after them big time.Maybe even make them pay a few taxes.
During tonight's speeches from Mr. Romney and Mr. Santorum they both emphasized the importance of business deregulation. Mr. Santorum even invoked the Founding Fathers passion for liberty. What both of these individuals continually fail to inform their supporters is that the Founding Fathers were adamant regarding the rights of individual, however after being subjected to the abuses of corporations under English rule, they originally strictly and severely limited the rights of corporations and only
allowed corporations to exist for projects that were for the public good such
as the construction of a road, bridge, or canal. When the public project was completed the corporation was required to be dissolved, and the assets distributed to the shareholders. The Founding Fathers did not provide the same constitutional rights for corporations as was afforded to the individual citizens and today’s politicians shouldn’t either. I watched Letterman last night, and the First Lady was stunning, witty, and utterly impeccable in her demeanor and manners.
