In attempt to capture the madness that goes behind the scenes here at MSNBC, we wanted to document the magnificent Rachel Maddow as she ran over to The Last Word studio to join Lawrence O'Donnell. In a matter of a minute, Rachel said "see you later" to her viewers, booked it over to Studio 3K and was mic'd up and ready to talk politics. Hopefully you will enjoy this glimpse into the world of MSNBC and the magic of television.
Very Last Word: Run Rachel, run!

Is there anything this woman can't do...adorably?
Nope... always awesome and always adorable. Also, fun to see that she's wearingrelaxed jeans with that blazer.
what a smarty-cutey pants!
That is nice! I'm glad to see the rift between TRMS staff and others at MSNBC has been de-rifted. I mean a few months ago Rachel mentioned that not any TRMS staff is allowed in any other studio at 30 Rock; "TRMS KEEP OUT" signs on all of the doors. As much as I'd like to know how this was resolved. It's really not as important as knowing that it is resolved. Life's too short, ya know?
What rift are you speaking about? I'm interested to learn, I don't recall reading or hearing anything anything, let's say, Olbermann-esque. :) Rachel has been on Andrea Mitchell's show several times in recent months and was on the premiere episode of Up With Chris Hayes.
Actually, I think RM was referring to the TRMS staff tendency to over-use the editing bay that necessitated a "ban" on the crew from those confines...
you kids get off my lawn...
Just awesome, keep up the good works!
Always wondered if she wore jeans or slacks under the dressy garb...
My, she is a quick lil' bunny, isn't she? I love that she was able to participate with Lawrence on his coverage. Great work, everybody!
Add swift and agile to thoughtful, reasoned and measured!
Love you Rachel!
I am always delighted to see y''all work together. I find that the brain power stashed at MSNBC-- even your choice of conservative representatives-- are (someone else above said it-- )agile, thoughtful, measured, and courteous.
On occasion, it gets over-heated, but I have never seen hosts work so hard to bring reason back to the table.
That was fun! Do it again, Rachel. It was neat to see behind the scenes and backdrops. Love your show Lawrence.
Oregon Nana
I like her dress code as well as her other attributes.
Great Sprint Rachel ... My weekdays are NEVER complete without a full dose of Chris, Rachel, Lawrence and Wild Man Chuck and throw in Ed and the Rev for great commentary. BUT Rachel you are my favorite ! Tom from Orlando
But Rachel promised us that she woud never run for anything ever!
Is there a reason why TRMS-which I do love-consistently runs over and cuts Last Word off...?
Maybe this is another "rift" manifestation...
The time rift cutting into the Last Word?
