What is the role of Government? We Americans are the first conglomeration of Peoples who claim governance by elected representation, a judiciary, and a national Manager (also elected). Prior to America’s independence declaration, history rarely show a democratic social system with the exception to an ancient Greek city governed by anyone living there who spake his/her piece sitting around a large flat community stone.
Many predict Governments decline eventually via internal strife, but who is to say since we are the first great experiment of self governing by such a wildly diverse society. It certainly takes a while to get accustomed to these new neighbors, especially if the neighbors act differently like wear a strange foreign hat. We Americans have already proven the fact we diverse, foreign peoples can land commonly upon this North American land and prosper together. We have a good Government model and are so proud of it that we are willing to war, or die defending our property. We pledge our allegiance to our Nation.
So what does our modern Government do for us? One couldargue that Government allows action take place in the public domain outside of personal privacy issues; whereas the sum of the total outweighs the rights of the individual. If an individual kills, destroys, or impairs public interests, the public has the right to act. In exchange for said civilized behavior, citizens demand public services from Government by funding important projects that spread prosperity as evenly as permitted.
No single person can put out a large forest fire; it takes awell funded, well organized, and professional Government crew utilizing their combined skills to fight fires. It takes a huge collection of citizens to form, and maintain an Army; test our meat to make sure it is safe to eat; let us know when dangerous vapors exist in our air that might kill us; etc. ad nausuem. We have created a very nice Government with good professionals running it well, so why do we wish to screw it up? At the end of the day, the work has to get done. We are the ones doing the work.
We all presently own a piece of the most advanced society in human history, a power house bellicose military, and creature comforts that challenge even Roman extravaganza (where are their iPods!). Why do we wish to screw this up?
Who are the governing players? Do they deserve to govern on behalf of your interests?
Election Day is the essence of your power. Let the nation know how you feel; it is your vote that counts.
Obviously two parties exists in current politics. The Dems versus the Reps (sounds like two different college fraternities). The Reps held power for eight years during George W’s reign, and managed to really screw up our economy; some say from greed; some say for personal political agenda, but the fact remains, the country really got screwed up; not to mention we tortured people.
Since their ouster, the Reps have constantly blocked beneficial legislation; proposed ridiculous ‘moral’ bills; disrespected a great man whom I elected into office proudly by portraying my President Obama, Reps’ President Obama, as a monkey; consistently proven to be a pain in the a— ever since they were fired; destroyed our national credit rating; embarrass us in front of the world; brought forth an murdering and mutilating extremist; and try to make women chattel again. Punishment is indicated here.
They do not seem to get the fact we do not like how they behave, and in the next subsequent elections, we might consider voting Reps out of existence. Let another party form; maybe another Wig Party, but this Republican Party’s extinction would greatly benefit our morale as a nation and prove to the world, we are good people. We need to eliminate the depressing Reps. We need to return to the good life as the most free peoples in the world watching NASCAR, ESPN, or politics saving the world one country at a time.
O’ Believer, bless our way of life.
There has to be at least one brave woman to say - eliminate health insurance coverage for VIAGARA.
