Willard M. Romney walked away with a victory in Maine over the weekend. Bragging rights, not so much.
Less than 6,000 Republicans actually voted in the caucus. That's only 2 percent of the state's registered GOP voters. (With freezing dead-of-winter New England temps, can you really blame them for being lazy?) Romney got 39 percent of the vote, Ron Paul came in a close second with 36 percent, Santorum got 18 percent and Newt Gingrich nabbed 6 percent out of the people who bothered to show up.
Ron Paul's camp claims they could still win Maine because one county postponed voting until later this week. Romney beat Paul by a slim 194 votes, at least as of now.
Two new polls suggest Willard actually needs to watch his back for another presidential contender — the man in the sweater vest ensemble. Word on the street, according to a PPP poll, is Santorum has taken the lead in Michigan's upcoming primary.
A Pew Research Center survey found among registered Republican voters, Santorum came in first with 30 percent, Romney came in second at 28 percent, followed by Newt Gingrich at 17 percent, and Ron Paul at 12 percent.
And a new Gallup poll, also conducted last week, puts Romney in the lead at 32 percent among registered GOP voters, Santorum at 30%, Gingrich at 16%, and Paul at 8%.
And so the GOP's endless quest for a Mitt Romney alternative continues.

The reason this will backlash at Republican Candidate Santorum and all the others that picked this fight, is, Women's power over the situation! This is 2012, these are not little girls up on some pedestal controlled like chattel!
If push comes to shove they just say O.K. we'll do what the Pope and you say, will be celibate at all times except when we want to have a baby. At all other times we'll put a bayer aspirin between our legs and not open them! Your hereby cut off, "no more sex", until you give us back control and freedom over our own bodies!
So, write your bishop, call the Pope, talk to all the virgins you want to, because your now one of them!

When did any religion ever have the right to dictate public health policies?
The Constitution does not give them this power. It gives all matters of Public Welfare to the duly elected representatives!
If you were to follow the Republican theory on this, which religions would you use as

Some religions think the soul is in the heart, others the brain. Does that mean heart surgery or brain surgery could not be offered? How about required circumcision?

This Catholic would institute a war on our rights as Americans and replace them with his Catholic beliefs .... they have run the tape where he says that contraception is wrong .... and he would work to repeal a woman's right to choose .... does anyone remember Terry Schiavo???? would you like him to step into your family's rights and continue the suffering of one of your relatives against your wishes???..... could this possibly be the government sticking their nose into your private matters???? .... he would repeal DADT and continue his hatred for gay Americans .... and just look at how many people are right there with him..... this is indeed scary .... I do not believe we have ever had a candidate so hell bent on making his religion part of the laws of our land ... I don't know which is worse - infusing his religion into our laws or the ignorance and hatred he continues to spread across our country ....
Women need to UNITE and make sure this man does not hold any public office again.... YOUR VOTES COUNT and it is the future of OUR RIGHTS as Wives - Mothers - Daughters - and Sisters on the line!!!!
Santorum is not really a normal Catholic! Catholics listen to nuns before bishops!
Especially now after the molestations! Catholic women don't listen to Popes, Bishops or Priests when it comes to their bodies or families! Not here and not in Italy! Santorum is a horse of a different color in the Catholic Church! To prove my
point, go to any Catholic Church you choose and set up a table to get women to sign the "no more contraceptions" petition and see how many signatures you get. Make sure you bring a camera with sound, so you can record the angry women you will be meeting!

On this Valentines Day I expect everyone to either abstain or make a baby.

He accuses Obama of wanting to control what people can and can't do, when he is the only one who consantly preaches those things he thinks that is right and wrong for everyone.
What can Santorum expect in the way of votes from women? He tells women victimized by rape to suck it up! He tells the mother anxious over the cost of medicine for her dying child to suck it up! What kind of woman would ever vote for this man? And then I recall women who have made proposals of marriage to murdering rapist on death row and then I realize there are some women who would vote for Rick, not many thank God, but those would.
Andrew and Steven I dont think anything the President does is an “accident." He clearly stated that rather than allow the contraception thing to go on for a year he was going to end it last week and he did. The brilliant mind, the seemingly sleeping giant is up and running his end game, the GOP did not just accidentally give in to the tax debate even they see the writing on the wall. Game time!

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES October 12, 2011 Mr. DENT (for himself and Mr. ALTMIRE) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary
So I created a petition to The United States House of Representatives, The United States Senate, and President Barack Obama, which says:
" H.R. 3611 and its sister in the senate, S 1698 will close the loopholes in NDAA and put at risk, the citizenship of every single American. The following summary was written by the Congressional Research Service: 10/12/2011--Introduced. Enemy Expatriation Act - Amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to include engaging in or purposefully and materially supporting hostilities against the United States to the list of acts for which U.S. nationals would lose their nationality. Defines "hostilities" as any conflict subject to the laws of war. This article, from the conservative magazine American Thinker, sums it up: “Introduced as S. 1698 in the Senate and as H.R. 3166 in the House of Representatives, the Enemy Expatriation Act is expressly designed to ‘add engaging or supporting hostilities against the United States to the list of acts for which United States nationals would lose their nationality.’ “These bills are inconsistent with current law and Supreme Court precedent. They appear to be tailored to cow the American people, without regard for the 14th-Amendment guarantee prohibiting Congress from divesting an American citizen of his citizenship. “On their face, S. 1698 and H.R. 3166 make it appear that any citizen ‘engaging in, or purposefully and materially supporting, hostilities against the United States’ would lose his citizenship. Under the proposed bills, the government could take away a person’s citizenship in a civil action without that person having been previously convicted of a crime in a court governed by traditional procedural safeguards of trial by jury, confrontation of witnesses, and proof beyond a reasonable doubt.†"
