The Obamas greeting troops at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on Wednesday.
Nothing really beats the sight of our servicemen and women returning home to reunite with their families. President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visited Fort Bragg, North Carolina to personally welcome returning veterans of the Iraq war and thank them for their immeasurable sacrifices. Obama said, "We know too well the heavy costs… nearly 4,500 Americans have made the ultimate sacrifice, including 202 fallen heroes from here at Fort Bragg."
The president acknowledged that the human cost is not shouldered by our troops alone, but also by their families.
"There have been missed birthday parties and graduations. There are bills to pay and jobs that have to be juggled with picking up the kids<' said Obama. "For every soldier that goes on patrol, there are the husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters praying that they come back."
The president told the crowd, "For all the challenges that our nation faces, you remind us that there's nothing that we Americans can't do when we stick together." He added, "I am proud of you."

This COMPLETE WITHDRAWAL is a horrible mistake. This will definetly comeback to haunt Obama. I know that it was a mistake going in, but since we're there already why not just keep a small number troops and bases to insure some kind of military presence which would give us some kind flexibility and leverage in that region especially with Iran and all these Arab countries taken over by radical islamist. Obama and the Dems will have to hope and pray that things does'nt get out of hand over there before the 2012 election or it will nullify all his foreign policy accomplishments.
The reason we left, besides being the right thing to do, is because the new Iraqi goverment wanted us out and could not guarantee soldiers would not be procecuted if accused of a crime. The president said enough is enough.
worst president ever
I think you are confused with the moron that lied to get us into Iraq to begin with.
apparently my post never made it. I just want to say thanks and in the end we the independents ultimately choose the lesser of two evils and I vote for our current president, he is trying to rebuild this disaster after Republican held house and president and he can not be and will not be touched in over seas affairs, the fight against terror and the liberties of all, not just this nation but democratic nations abroad. Do not listen to the twisted crap coming from the Repulbicants about our extensions in taxes, it costs us in fights for how its paid, they will ultimately charge us and force it. From the elderly to the poor. They will not raise taxes on themselves and their owners.
Just my rant, I look and I deal, I am an American who struggles to keep my dream alive. A dream I was taught in school. It looks 10x harder than before but as a game designer, I am always up for a challenge but as a gamer I am always looking for the better route. That's all people
In video games and design of video games we play upon human instinct. We play upon the natural human need to do one or the other in this account it would be the right or the left, the liberals or the conservatives. Just like any media we work both sides to create passion. but the ultimate game designer, knowledgeable of these basic facts work to create one team from another, competition. But ultimately we are all forced with the rational decision. The passion is reduced to a real decision, the reality. Right or left, conservative or liberal, we must make the correct call in the end and that's what we independents do for this country. In the end it has nothing to do with one side or the other
omg! say something
