Lawrence, ENOUGH about Mitt Romney's nickname. We get it. His legal first name is Willard, and he goes by Mitt and has for a very long time. You keep hitting him for using this nickname -- who cares? This obsession about Romney being called "Mitt," as it came up yet again in your interview with Hodgman tonight, is coming off to me as weird and a little petty.
Lawrence does that because he is an idiot.
Hodgman
you do realize that he is a satirical like Steven Colbert?
I would be willing to accept the premise that Colbert and Lawrence are equivalents...
I guess you have a problem with journalist and even a comedian telling the truth.
Not really, Tex- I find Colbert humorous. I also find Lawrence humorous. I also find to humorous when the Left Wingers equate the two. I had never thought of them being in the same boat, but now I can see it.
The truth is the truth plain and simple no matter where it comes from. And speaking of comedians, happy thanksgiving Oxyrush, Glenn beck, hannity and Bill 'O the clown.
General Wesley Clark and Colonel Larry Wilkerson.
both did a good job.
keep up the work Lawrence.
The GOP debates are a joke, why not just put the Koch brothers and Grover Norquist up on the podiums and skip the puppets.
I want to donate a dollar to the Dr. Orly Taitz U.S. Senator Campaign in California. I checked her background she is from Russia and was she born in the United States ?. A name like Orly Taitz does not sound American like Smith or Jones. I have never seen her birth certificate and I need to check her license as a Dentist and the California State Board to see if she has a current license to be an Attorney. I need to see her stamped and approved documents, before I can donate a dollar. She could be on a temporary Visa, I want my dollar to count
Gaaaaah, he did it again on Wednesday night's show, accusing Romney of "lying" about his first name. Not true, Lawrence. To my knowledge, Mr. Romney does not claim that his name is not Willard. THAT would be a lie. He goes by a nickname. Mitt.
If you were covering the 1976 election, would you insist that "Jimmy" Carter was lying about his name, and insist on referring to him as James Earl Carter in broadcast after broadcast?
Romney has in fact told some lies. Accusing him of lying about his first name is, well, a lie. Lawrence, get off this. Seriously. It looks weirder and ever more petty.
Who gives a rat's behind what the guy's name is or what he prefers....what is he about for this country? It is this kind of thing that keeps people distracted from the real issues. I don't care if he wears pink underwear on his head and howl at the moon...he is a candidate for the presidency of this country....what is in his head and most importantly his heart? As for Lawrence, he is being what my dad used to call "assinine". I guess that is what he gets paid the big bucks for.
