Great video! If you look closely, you can see what the whale was actually eating. Small fish were jumping out of the water trying to avoid the whale. The birds came to eat the small fish after the whale had surfaced.

These are Humpbacks and they eat crill ~ kinda of just filters through their teeth. Whales are common here, there are daily 'whale watching' cruises in Santa Cruz.
What an awesome sight! We see whales breaching off the coast here in Kailua-Kona, HI, and they are beautiful and powerful mammals. We are blessed to witness these events.
