A new poll released today by Suffolk University shows a majority of Florida voters believe the Republican party is "intentionally stalling efforts to jumpstart the economy to insure that Barack Obama is not reelected."
Ray LaHood, Obama's Secretary of Transportation — and perhaps more notably a Republican — said just that in an interview with The Daily Beast earlier this week. The Washington Post's Greg Sargent and Washington Monthly's Steve Benen have interesting opinions on what the poll results mean for the 2012 election.
Even though Florida voters admit the GOP's economic sabotage is real, they are evenly split on who to vote for in all 2012 races.
Here is what the Beastie Boys have to say about sabotage:

I have to wonder who they really believe is going to protect their retirement accounts as well as their Social Security and Medicare. It sure won't be Perry, Cain, Romney, Bachmann, Paul or whoever is running for the Republican presidential nomination. They seem to be allowing the fearmongerers to persuade them to vote against their own best interest. It is time for the American voter to wake up and kick the bums out! We are the 99% and we need to start taking back our country from the plutocrats.
Senator Olympia Snowe sponsored S.Admt.390 a bill to reform the regulatory process to ensure that small businesses are free to compete and to create jobs, and for other purposes this 'Jobs Bill' was ‘Rejected’ by 44 Democrats on June 9, 2011. Senator Snowe’s Amendment needed a 3/5th majority to pass, only 6 Democrats voted for Senator Snowe’s Job Bill. In these times of high unemployment one can’t seem to fathom...why?
What Democratic sensibilities were offended by Senator Snowe’s Amendment?
Of course all of the Republican Senators voted for S.Amdt.390 because the Amendment relies on the 'Private' vice 'Public' sector to create jobs.
What else did it include? Rarely do Republicans put forth a straight on bill that doesn't somehow cut the social safety net.
Progressives are misguided and incorrect about 'job creation' and here is why:
1. First we do not have a tax base of 307.3 million because our labor force is only 155.2 million.
2. Before the 2008 elections only 43% of the labor force made enough money to pay the 'progressive income' taxes. (by the end of Obama's first term that percentage is expect to rise to over 51%)
3. Subtract 66.7 million from 155.2 labor force, now the total is only 88.5 million tax paying individuals supporting the needs of 307.3 million people including 13-20 million illegal aliens for government services including Health Care.
4. Denmark, Norway and Sweden have an average 33.4% of GDP public debt compared to the USA's 60% of GDP public debt!
The number of private sector jobs averaging $40,000 a year using a Standard Tax Rate of 15% or $2,700 income tax just to support one $60,000 a year government job is 22.
1. How many private sector jobs averaging $40,000 a year are now being produced by Obama's Stimulus Plan?
2. How many 'Government Jobs' were produced by Obama's Stimulus Plan?
3. Does Obama's Stimulus Plan produce a ratio 22 to 1 private sector jobs to pay for all of the 'government jobs' created by Obama's Stimulus Plan?
You when you apply a little logic to 'Progressive' thought and talking points, it all falls apart like a 'House of Cards'...because 'socialism' is a card trick meant to be a illusion to keep the followers of 'Enlighten Despotism' in power.
You republicans just wish you were as cool as the beasties when it comes to sabotage.....Or for that matter if you had anyone on your side besides grover norquist and the like...You guys got your tax cuts and we lost our jobs that's because you didn't need the salary to offset earnings and you could make the people working there pick up the slack because they are deathly afraid of losing their job too....Well guess what it is all gonna backfire because I would rather see you racist dudes bow down to a gentlman of color than have my good job back....Because I didn't like working for people like you anyway and I am caucasian in your description anyways to me and my multi-racial nieghbors I am just an american...And after 12 years or so of progressive politicians running the show we will have done away with you guys' backward KKK thinking and I will have a job working for an enlightened person....I can wait...And the further you throwbacks dig yourselves I think your party is gonna cease to exist... Oh and to number two on your list are you saying incomes are gonna rise by next year great maybe we don't hafta wait that long
Progressives are misguided and incorrect about 'job creation' and here is why:
1. First we do not have a tax base of 307.3 million because our labor force is only 155.2 million. No kidding! Progressives are very aware that children are not part of the work force.
2. Before the 2008 elections only 43% of the labor force made enough money to pay the 'progressive income' taxes. (by the end of Obama's first term that percentage is expect to rise to over 51%) And that is a bad thing how? That means the economy is growing.
3. Subtract 66.7 million from 155.2 labor force, now the total is only 88.5 million tax paying individuals supporting the needs of 307.3 million people including 13-20 million illegal aliens for government services including Health Care. Get selfish corporations to raise the wages of the working poor and that will change in an instant. Fix immigration and more begin to pay income taxes. Get the selfish corporations to stop sending jobs to third world countries and again, you'll see more people contributing. None of this is on the Democrats. Bush put this in motion.
4. Denmark, Norway and Sweden have an average 33.4% of GDP public debt compared to the USA's 60% of GDP public debt! And amazingly, they also have universal health care. Oh, those socialists!
The number of private sector jobs averaging $40,000 a year using a Standard Tax Rate of 15% or $2,700 income tax just to support one $60,000 a year government job is 22. The government employee making $60K a year is also paying income taxes. What's your point?
1. How many private sector jobs averaging $40,000 a year are now being produced by Obama's Stimulus Plan? More than Rick Perry's job creation in TX.
2. How many 'Government Jobs' were produced by Obama's Stimulus Plan? Don't know.
3. Does Obama's Stimulus Plan produce a ratio 22 to 1 private sector jobs to pay for all of the 'government jobs' created by Obama's Stimulus Plan? Why does it have to? Jobs are jobs and people paying more income taxes and being able to live comfortably is a good thing.
You when you apply a little logic to 'Progressive' thought and talking points, it all falls apart like a 'House of Cards'...because 'socialism' is a card trick meant to be a illusion to keep the followers of 'Enlighten Despotism' in power. Not in the least. When we all work, we all succeed. When we take care of each other, we succeed both as a people and a society. The Republicans only work to help a minuscule amount of people succeed. The Democrats aren't perfect, nor are the Progressives but they are trying. The Republicans have done nothing to improve this economy. I see a great many holes in your logic.
