Larry you were over the top tonight baiting the women to risk the consequences of breaking a confidentiality agreement. You are insincere by saying you would indemnify any of the women's liabilities for coming breaking the confidentiality agreement. Whatever occurred in the past happened and a settlement was agreed to. Its this type of distasteful dirt digging from the likes of Larry and media that prevents many good people from running for office.
Larry please adjust your meds.
It's Lawrence you loon. The man is running for President of the United States but we do still hope he become you nominee in the general.
Cain won't survive this. It has and always will be Mitt. Conservatives will hold their nose and elect him as the the nominee because he has the best shot of beating Obama.
Interesting to see how Clinton was able to escape actual philandering and sexual harrassment and John Edwards long known cheating by the press was given a pass for over a year brother the story came out. Too bad Cain isn't a dem, this would be a story if he was.
If Lawrence O'Donnell along with the other DNC cronies (Chris Matthews) at MSNBC take the time and effort to make a pilgrimage to CHICAGO to 'vet' Obama properly then and only then will O'Donnell be view as an 'objective' journalist and MSNBC as a credible news organization. Until then, BOTH are simply LACKEYS of the DNC and their 'Progressive War Machine'.
Dug
LOL thanks for the laugh.
You're right the thought of Lawrence O'Donnell and the rest of the DNC cronies at MSNBC being objective journalists is 'laughable'...ha..ha!
No Koch-Cain for me, gave that stuff up.... smile :-)
Thanks for Touré. Seems he blows minds on the other side. good stuff.
You can't rant about things then have us wait 30 seconds with ad before the next sgment of your show.
Cain's a @!$%#ing idiot. thats all there is. glad I caught you last ni ght lwarence, I was puking all night, so I got to see you.
a "smear" campaign????? ...
NO SIR - a smear campaign does not usually contain factual information...
more than one woman has accused you of inappropriate behavior - and others say they were witness to it .... this does not bode well for you
you are running for President - sir .... and the public has a right to know how you treat women.... just because you say it was not inappropriate - does not mean the rest of us will view it that way as well...
once again - you are running for President of the United States - not King
the Queen of England may be entitled to have her subjects speak only when spoken to - BUT YOU DO NOT!!!!!
All the idiots [on and off the air]discussing this "controversy"are arguing without knowing what they are talking about...NO ONE has had the brains or the integrity to DEFINE the terms in the discussion....WHAT is sexual harassment?...stony silence...the entire discussion is one gigantic CHEAP SHOT, so long as you do not identify that "sexual harassment"is deliberately conceived as the most vague concept in the history of man, open to the most subjective interpretations possible...deliberately, so conceived, by the women's liberation organizations, in order to coerce men into subjugation via the ad hominem fallacy...gentlemen from an older, wiser, kinder generation would consider COMPLIMENTING a woman as a gentlemanly and KIND and even GALLANT thing to do: i.e., "that's a lovely dress you're wearing" ; "you look so pretty today"...BEWARE gentlemen, these and other such niceties have now been redefined by the college professors of these fools as being politically incorrect and misogynistic and, yes, sexual harassment....
you are right we have to keep those women in their places! then we can work on others, you know gay, brown, black etc...
oh that was a snark.
Let me start by saying that this scandal will not bring Cain's campaign down - Cain's words already did that as far as I am concerned. Again yesterday, Mr. Cain expressed concerns about China's efforts to acquire nuclear weapons... I rest my case.
If the scandal was about Cain having affairs, being unfaithful, I would consider it a non issue. I don't care what people do in their bedroom and it does not impact their ability to run a country. But if there was sexual harassment, I DO care as it is illegal and it shows a perverted relationship to power. Yes, the term sexual harassment is sometimes vaguely defined. Here's a definition I think is appropriate (from Wikipedia):
Sexual harassment, is intimidation, bullying or coercion of a sexual nature, or the unwelcome or inappropriate promise of rewards in exchange for sexual favors.
The definition is clear to me. But it is often very difficult to prove as it usually happens without witnesses and without any tangible proof (written documents for example). Nonetheless, it is a real crime, not that different from putting a gun on someone's temple in order to get them to do what you want. When your job is in stake, for example, victims often have no other choice than to submit to the agressor's demands.
Everyone is screaming for the presumed victim in this case to come out and tell their stories. But it is not an easy thing to do. I agree with Laurence, I do not thing these women would ever get sued by the NRA for political reasons. But even if the NRA publicly acknowledged that fact, those women would still have to go through the media scrunity and see their entire lives exposed to the public. They would most definitely have to endure intimidation and would expose their entire family to it. The cost seems very high to me. I do not think I would come forward if I were in these women's shoes.
But they don't need to - there is no way Mr. Cain will ever be the Republican nominee. He has already made too many huge, unacceptable mistakes and I am sure there are more to come. No one needs to sink this guy - just let him jump in the water. It is obvious that he can't swim.
you would think that mr. o. would have more important things to talk about than a unsubstantiated harresment allegation against mr cain. how about the half billion $ another mr. o. wasted of our tax dollars on solyndra???
how about the BILLIONS of dollars W. bush wasted going into iraq when he decided to go after saddam hussein instead of bin laden? how about the 4, 400 american troops and the hundreds of thousands of innocent iraqi lives that were collateral damage in a war based on a lie.
HOW ABOUT THAT?
Progressives don't understand the appeal Herman Cain has on most open-minded Americans, Herman Cain is America. His story is as American as 'Apple-Pie', and the best part of Herman Cain is that he does not live on the 'Democratic Plantation' like most 'black people' in America, no he can think for himself. The fact Herman Cain can think for himself is what driving the 'Progressives' mad. You all better get use to Herman Cain, he will be our next President.
America is going to go from its first 'Black' Socialist President to its first 'Black' Republican President in 4 short years...you got to LOVE America, I know I do!
dug,
if you think that herman cain will be our next president, i hope you won't be too embarassed to come back here when mitt romney is the nominee.
how do your brains work?
herman cain?
REALLY?
suzette,
I have been supporting Romney since 2008 and even 'phone banked' for him against John McCain during the Super Tuesday Weekend...so my brain works just fine, it tells me Romney will be the Republican nominee but my heart is with Cain...sometimes you got to stick with your heart.
Cain or Romney, it doesn't really matter. What matters is making Obama a one-term-president.
Unity not Diversity!
Equal Justice not Social Justice.
The Rule of Law not Ruler's Law.
Limited Government not Limitless Government.
Republicanism not Democracy.
The Star Spangled Man with the 999 Plan is Herman Cain!
dug,
i understand that romney will probably be the last man standing, BUT...republicans are now saying that they would rather have President Obama win in 2012 than have mitt romney around for a possibility of 8 years.
they are really having a hard time accepting the fact that mitt will be the republican nominee.
They will still hold their noses and vote for him but his presidency will dogged by the Baggers and he will be forces to be as extreme as possible to keep them happy, He wont govern just rubber stamp what everything the extreme right yells a him. His win will re-energize the right loon fringe to retain and take more seats in the next midterms so they can keep Romney on the straight and narrow path. The rest of us will line up for the soup kitchen after we clock out of our jobs in HELL!!
The Occupy Wallstreet Movement needs to establish a politcal party. It could be called "The 99% Pary". Then they will have a block of votes to use in favor of the party that supports their cause.
The Occupy Wall Street Movement already has three political parities that meet their political dogma, the Communist, Socialist or Democratic Party. Pick one!
Good Job taking down another powerful black man Libs! Too bad Obama wasn't vetted at all. You gave him a free pass because he was a non threatening black man; only half black, Harvard Educated, with an educated "white vernacular" just like you want him to. The minute a real black man shows up who doesn't act and think like you told him to, or has the audacity to be an idependent thinker tired of the Institutional Slavery advocated by the Left, you go out and destroy him. We all live in glass houses, just remember that.
LOL at you thanks for the laugh.
mmm libs,, ok this is your other sock.
CON
I laugh at your abilty to bury your head in the sand silently supporting overt racism. Democrats: Started the KKK, Fought against the Civil Rights Act of 1965, Institued Jim Crow Laws, fought against the 14th, 15th, and 16th ammendments. And now they celebrate the "black" president they put into power to attempt to hide their racism and cure themselves of "white guilt" while attacking any real Black Man who thinks for himself. The Party of Racists is alive and well.
Also, is it possible for you to put a coherent sentence together? I guess you are an uneducated racist to boot.
nope not bury in the sand.
that maybe true about the democrat being the starter of the KKK which i am not totally convince.
but the day after the civil rights passed they all turn and became republicans. so you are partly right but now you need to start scream about the republicans being the racist.
but then you already know that right?
Sorry Kurt but Cain is not down, the recent ABC News polls shows no negative impact from the fallout of this latest onslaught from the 'Progressive War Machine'. Most Republicans could care less about this issue, only Cain haters want to make 'this' a bigger issue than it really is.
When Herman Cain said that the motive behind the leak of his sexual harrassment scandal was Race?
Was he referring to the rest of the GOP and T-P candidates?
He was right!
