I wonder where Michael Moore invests all his millions.
As a private citizen he can invest where ever he wants to. But what most people do not know is that he also donates a lot of it. And He is not as half as rich most people make him out to be.

I am in awe of him as a child I paid attention to his speeches and was sad when he was assassinated. He was a very wise man What is sad is even the people he fought for to have equality and civil rights Snub their noses and use it to gain their aspirations but turn around and practice their own racism He went to the mountain and saw the future and this is why he was depressed over what he saw. Most people are offended by these things then do not have a problem doing the same to others. Hate no matter who you are hardens the heart and clouds the brain from obtaining peace
@afrommi-So the people who invest in the stock market are criminals? All I am saying is he is a hypocrit and all of you buy his BS!
Look here with all due respect to all. If you are able to see clearly you would see what I see. And perhaps be just as irate with heat when it becomes clear all of the reasons tea bagging republicans hate the little guy and want to make you all pay for everything.
One of the biggest reasons for denying infrastructure spending to HELP keep Americans SAFE is not to save tax dollars. Numero uno is because they spend plenty more in other places that do not make a lick of sense at all to any one. But numero dos tells you those lobbyist, the power companies and the tea bagging republicans make MORE doe charging double the cost after using more then 500 watts of energy. The elderly especially have a hard time paying this. It is almost impossible for any family to stay under 500 watts. Single people seem to be the only accomplished households within these peramiters.
The reason is because of an out dated weak power structure and an unwillingness to do anything about it. You may ask mowdy5000, why does this happen. Well I shall enlighten you all. Within reasonably simple terms it makes the power companies lobby's and by extension through campaign contributions and under the table hand slides tea bagging republicans make MORE doe with a weak power structure.
It is in fact the same reasoning why pharmaceutical companies make more money stringing the elderly and middle class out on prescription remedies and medicine rather then finding cures. And in the power game monopolies exist. And by doing this the PEOPLE, the 99 percent are kept as undubious slaves unable to find competition in power nor does there exist a TRUE competition to keep energy costs in check.
In fact China and many other countries infrastructure and power grids are years far beyond our own. But the powers that be in the tea bagging republican party and energy will never allow an up to date cost efficient system to exist. Simply ask The Bush Man J.R how hard it was to update the infrastructure grid. Because we still do not have it.
PLEASE make this a focal point of investigation. My good friend B. and I do appreciate it greatly. ;]
Cheers
If you ever have a serious topic on bible abuse against gays. I would be a good guest.I know how to myth bust anti gay bible verses.
Example 1))
***and ***Example 2))
This info may save thousands of lives. Please have me on.
The Anti gay Bible verses most people think about are not anti-gay. When we read the Bible we have to think in terms of when and why were they written. The bible mentions that there were male temple prostitutes and they were not really punished in any way. Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed because of homosexuality but because they were practicing "that which was hurtful" and the righteous' prayers reached God's ears. And we have to remember that if the angels of God would have found 10 people that were good, the cities would not have been destroyed no matter how many were homosexual. Then it was mentioned again by Paul, but even though the churches today take Paul's word as being more important than Jesus, it is not.
Jesus set the criteria to be used by those who follow HIM, namely the love for each other because GOD is love, and what is in Mathew 25:31-46. He also ilustrated the love of those who are not of our same faith when he spoke the parable of the "Good Samaritan". Homosexuality was not mentioned in neither of those verses. Most people take Bible verses out of context. And no, I am not gay.
If MLK would be alive today, would he vote Republican?
These videos didn't stick on the above message. My final try...
Example 1))
***and ***Example 2))
Most GOP are using Urban Legends and Popular Slogans (UL&PS) that cause economic damage to get elected.
If OWS fixes nothing else, it should work on eliminating UL&PS from elections.
The following are the root cause for most of our modern problems.
1 - The War on Drugs consumes 1 $trillion$ each year to control less than 10% of drug traffic.
2 - 10% of the adult population has a non-violent drug conviction causing chronic unemployment
3 - Illegal immigrants earn 120 $billion$, and that spending employs 7 million
4 - Tax the wealthy at the same rate as others
5 - The war on terror is consuming 0.5 $trillion$ to combat a religion
The War on Drugs should protect children, but it accomplishes the opposite by destroying lives without producing any positive benefit. Legal solutions will never produce a positive outcome so this topic becomes popular enough to get people elected.
Unemployment figures nearly match the number of people with non-violent drug convictions because of inexpensive access to criminal records, and refusing to give jobs to people with a drug conviction forces them to return to drug trafficking for income. This makes the situation self-perpetuating by creating an urban legend environment.
Illegal immigrant migration from the US back to mexico that began in 2007 destroyed $billions$ in consumer demand, because illegal immigrants took their consumer demand with them when they left the US, and that created an economic boom in Mexico that could have happened here. The idea that consumers take jobs away from US citizens is counter-intuitive and does not match the actual historic record.
Wealthy that benefit from government services should pay their fair share.
The War on Terror is a self-perpetuating urban legend that was created when Bush terminated diplomatic discussions with conservative Muslim clerics. This will end when the US re-establishes diplomatic ties to Islam instead of conducting an unconstitutional holy war.
You are right...And I will add: That...
If MLK Jr. was alive today and just as young would he vote Republican? Would he still be the same hero who stood for those who needed a powerful voice. He did not call them brainwashed then or stupid and he did not sit idly by while they others risk their reputation and while the system was calling the trouble makers. Would he really vote to take from the poor and give to the rich by clearing them from paying taxes.
To me that is like asking the following question to those who think of themselves as Christians. WWJD. In HIS time HE did not get involved in the politics of HIS day, but HE did spoke up. He did not speak against abortion, but HE spoke about the poor. He did not speak about abortions, but HE gave women in HIS circle equal attention and HE spoke about widows.
If Jesus was here would people listen to HIM and HIS words, or would they call HIM a communistic Liberal. I wonder... If Cain, who has so much against the poor, is not the anti-Christ.
I love these "very last word" behind the scenes clips!
Super show!
Sure hope some day gays celebrate while straights marry more like we are so happy to celebrate, cry over, and defend theirs but I don't think that day is coming soon same as the hetro divorce rate won't be going down soon nor hetrosexual domestic violence rates.
Al Sharpton and MMFlint rock. Sad shame even the print news out here has quoted Occupy saying they don't need them. Of course Occupy needs all the help they can get from their elders! MM Flint may only be wrong on his point about the universal breaking point. My own 40 something working generation (now 56 percent in poverty) which has lived so many long years of days without any health insurance and really no 401ks or any kind of stocks or money at all is not really at the breaking point. I think we have some serious muscle.
The Reverend Sharpton and L.O. are not so correct themselves about HR 358 being an anti abortion bill. The HR 358 bill which makes it legal for Catholics to deny ER heathcare to non Catholics, is the further attempt to destroy the Church by making the Church the Republican state, a further attempt to define Jesus Christ as Southern Republican.
I am forever unhappy with Ed Rollins and Chis Mathews for calling anyone who cares about the definition of the Church as body of Christ a bigot, if that is what they are doing. The non issue of Chris Christy saying he is Catholic is proof that some people heard Pope John Paul in the 1980s when he said he didn't like abortion but also said he DID like the separation of Church and State? California Catholics helped elect Gov Jerry Brown last year and thats not the only time they have come out with the pro choice Dems. Is there such a leader as Pope John Paul who can be quoted as happy with the separation of Church and State in the modern Mormon tabernacle? Why is that also a bigoted question?
is this guy for real - you are us, we are you? I am nothing like this jabba the hut
What do you bet good ole' Mikey Moron will make one more of his bull$hit movies about this crap......
Dude is always looking to make a few quid in the "sensationalism" category....
Why do you think Larry loves Larry has him on his crappy show....
OWS doesn't have politicians in there pockets as The tea baggers or PACS do, no wonder the police are harassing them.. I call the OWS credible knowing the white shirted police are puppets for the bribed politicians...
Excellent Show tonight!!! Enjoyed The Very Last Word Segment!!!
For some reason, MSNBC feels the The Ed Show, along with Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton, and Lawrence Odonnell shows should be inundated with Exxon commercials showing a creepy looking geologists and scientist trying their best to justify pollution. "We just had to change our thinking" says the giddy pit-faced geologist, which is Exxon doublespeak for "we just had to loosen the clean water act"! Nobody is fooled by Exxon's lies.
Anyway, here's how to prevent Exxon from polluting your monitor or tranquility with sound bytes designed to deceive:
When the commercial starts, click the link for Meet The Press. Their commercials are cool. Once the commercial is finished, click back to MSNBC TV and choose your segment without the horrid Exxon commercials.
here`s the one of the big differences between a We The People 99%er grass roots movement, and the tea party, We The People DO NOT NEED BUSES to show us where to go or what to say.
as We The People together and United are still in Charge here!
sorry all but.
Private Wall Street Companies Caused The Financial Crisis — Not Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac Or The Community Reinvestment Act
October 14, 2011 7:28 am ET
In the four years since the housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse in global financial markets whose value had been propped up through the repackaging and trading of home loans via complex financial instruments, there's been plenty of blame to go around. The Occupy Wall Street protests have called new attention to the root causes of the crisis, and led Republicans to reiterate their claim that government-backed lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were the primary villains. The facts about the subprime mortgage market prove that claim false: Private firms dominated the subprime market boom of 2004-06, and were not even subject to the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act some Republicans vilify. Thanks to decades of financial deregulation, capped by President Bush's decision to appoint Wall Street regulators who believed their job was to help banks rather than curb banking abuses, financial giants were able to turn the mortgage market into a high-stakes casino. As investigative reporters and Congress' Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission have all shown, it was deregulation mixed with irresponsible and potentially illegal practices by private firms on Wall Street that caused both the bubble and the collapse.
pilotshark,
that's what i'm talkin' about!
Lawrence,
I agree with almost every subject you cover every night. However, you hit one tonight that I cannot agree with. I am a certified drug and alcohol counselor and find it appalling that you call marijuana "harmless". Just because alcohol is a dangerous drug that has become accepted in our culture does not make marijuana harmless. Look up the research and you will find that marijuana is a more dangerous drug than most want to believe. The effects on the brain can be devastating and can create a personality change that destroys all motivation and interest in most aspects of life, especially for young people. It is dangerous and needs to be controlled. You are correct to decry the abuse of alcohol but please do not confuse that with safety of marijuana!
