Joe the Plumber is back. Formally known as Joe Wurzelbacher, the regular guy (and unlicensed plumber) became a symbol of working-class America during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Now, he's considering his own run for office. He filed paperwork last week for a possible run for Congress against Republican Rob Frost in Ohio's Ninth District.
Wurzelbacher is currently the only Republican in the race. With redistricting in the area, veteran politicians Dennis Kucinich and Marcia Kaptur could duke it out for the same seat in the Democratic primary.
However, members of his own plumbing community are not so enthusiastic about his political ambitions.
Rick Terven of The United Association of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, told Politico he supports Democrats like Dennis Kucinich and Marcy Kaptur. "'Joe the Plumber' does not represent the United Association nor our union members in any way," he said. "This is someone who appears to care more about being a celebrity than actually helping working families."
Jim Kendzel, CEO of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, would not comment directly about Joe. Although he said he doesn't "believe he's actually a plumber."

Why not run for president. John McCain could be his VP. But, McCain says, will I still be alive to run in 8 years; I guess I'd only be 84, and if elected to 2 terms I'd be 92 when I left office! HA HA. As SNL's McCain said, "Joe the plumber lives in a cigar box under by bed."

"joe the plumber" is a partisan republican, who also happens to be related through marriage to Charles Keating (remember the keating 5?), a close friend of John McCain.

Lawerance; Thank you for having Joe the Plummer on your show. I now know who I'm voting for. He has no real plan or idea how government works. He should spend a couple of years following and traing with a congress person before he starts his campeign. He needs to job shaddow a respectful congress person. It would be a wast of tax payers money to have this man on the congress floor making life or death decision when he doesn't understand the house rules and how the commity works. Please ask him if he would job shaddow a congress person for 2 years for an educational experience. Do you think this would give him the experience he would need to be an effective congressman? My next question would be;Who would he shaddow? Who is his hero? I just dont see Joe having a ship to sail on now. He has no cause or fight in the game. What Is Joe The Plummer Going To Bring To The Table that everyone will want to dine on. Then he has to be prepared to tell everyone who he prepared this nice dish and by easting this beautiful dish we are all going to be smarter,healther,wiser,richer,sucessful,prosperty 4 everyone. America will be a much better place if you dine from my dinner table. The ingredients will be taxes,budgets,cuts,tax incentives,spending,salt,pepper,fairness,justice,regulations,equality,humanity,chariety, money,law & order,A clean clear open mind to listen.you must love your job & respect your position. You must respect the positions of your costitutents. These are the great ingredidents that make a well rounded likeable politician.With these things you can have a secussful dinner party. With all the right people to make things happen.Then one day be a congress man.

he'll fit right in with the baggers who took over the house, especially the loser joe walsh who is so worried about the future of every child in america in regard to the debt, except for his own.
why should he do the things you listed above when he can just campaign on a few hot button issues like the deficit and abortion and gay marriage.
he doesn't have to know anything to get elected.
