Oh of course Mrs. Clinton won't be running. That she might be running is just my middle age California amazon woman fantasy! Mr male Obama has the carpet unopposed by anyone registered on the left with the exception of the Green Party. Obama vs Romney? Two guys with serious personal ambitions to be president. Yes people who are in the fighting for ideas bigger than themselves do act differently. People who really like the idea of being Mormon do defend that idea instead of calling anyone who wants to discuss it a bigot. People who really like the idea of being helpful will sweat. Is Obama sweating yet? According to L.O. , "We haven't seen nothing yet" Exactly nothing yet? Just about nothing? Ha! But SERIOUSLY Obama has to win this one on ideas. Obama has to win the 2012 election with ideas not just win to get the prize of being the first African American president and not Bush W, a prize we were so glad to give him. Oh and people who are in the fighting for ideas don't only hardly smell GQ and Cosmo...they even get called less than pretty...just look at what happened to Beth Warren last week! Too harsh to look good in the centerfold or isn't that what her opposition said?
I'm surprised that 0 (zero) comments have been written in response to this piece.
Granted, it wasn't the Rubic's Cube of political analytical thinking; which BTW I enjoy during this segment. But I think it said four important things to skeptical Dems/Progressives & Independents:
1) this President hears what is being said about him 2) this President has the power to make an 18% point turn around in 3 weeks with all important Independents 3) is back on the populist track (as much as he can/I wish it came earlier) 4) that Obama is best when he trusts what got him there and goes with his instincts.
O'Donnell used at the end of this segment tonight, what are most likely words he wrote while working on West Wing: "You ain't seen nothin' yet." I agree!
I also think O'Donnell had a hand in the W.W. scene, when it was decided to "let Bartlett be Bartlett" ...
I'm not equating a t.v. show to the serious reality of politics/government/the Obama Presidency, and the ramifications it has on our lives. But since Mr. O'Donnell has had a hand in both, I just smiled at the references and said "yes".
I think they were right on the mark, and very easily capsulized the up coming Presidential campaigns.
With unemployment over 9% 1 in 7 on food stamps.... Going to be real hard for Oding-dong to keep his job come 2012..
Don't kid yourselves- Obama's plan is going to have to be simply this:
Without admitting to his lack of success, Obama must describe the challenger, whomever it will be, as being totally unacceptable for the job as President. He must make that case not to liberals, for they already believe that point, but he must convince the independents and the center. He must, in effect, remove the spotlight from his accomplishments, or lack thereof, and paint dire consequences of voting for the opponent.
Hate is so strong for this president that people will vote against themselves to vote him out. Are people so blind that they cannot see how the Republicans have sabatoged this economy to try to make President Obama look bad? WOW! All I can say is if by some chance a Republican wins, none of the haters should say a word when their lives are turned upside down by the viciousness of the Republican party. There is hate for his administration. Its too bad he has taken the governing approach that he has. I don't think he is a bad guy personally, just probably significantly over his head and his never havig been in any type of leadership role before has shown.

Lawrence (Rachel, Ed, Rev. Sharpton)--in today's Daily Beast (10/12) there is an article circulating (AP, et al.) -- headline "Obama Loses Big on Jobs Bill." This article could have been written by Eric Cantor !! it is that reactionary. I hope you all can do some exposure on this...
Obama might be 'the best campaigner' in American politics but America doesn't need just a great campaigner we need a great leader,something which Obama has proved he is not and that is why he will not be re-elected.
As far as his jobs bill even the dems in the senate won't vote for it because many of the them are up for re-election in 2012. His jobs bill is just another stimulus that will only waste money we don't have and will not create any jobs.
If Obama is serious about creating jobs he should change some of the policies he put in place that kill jobs in the private sector.
Senate Dems didn't vote for hsi jobs bill because they know Republicans lie about it. If so, what is the GOP's economic plan-cut taxes for rich? ITS DIDNT WORK FOR 8 YEARS UNDER BUSH AND ITS NOT GONNA WORK NOW. I wish you republicans would get that in your mind. I agree that Obama wasn't the best pres during his first two years, but he's getting better. That's why I still chant HILLARY 2012.

I wondered about that too...maybe Larry, Big Fat Ed, Rachel, and the Rev don't want to bring anything up that has to do with one of Nobama's placements. Probably it's because MSNBC is a left wing liberal outfit.
Yes and Fox (FAUX) is totally unbiased, fair and balanced, and you have a better chance to become king of the planet before FAUX ever says the republicans are wrong about any major/real issue. It is a race issue for most of the republicans. They can't stand having a "Black Guy in their White House". Obama has done all the compromising and all that No Boner and Can'tor have done is say no before they even read the proposals on everything that the president has proposed. The proof is in this last big budget debate, Obama gave in and gave them everything that they have been demanding and they still said no. So it's all about race nothing to do with real policy or issues. By the way I am not black, gay, neither a democrat or republican, and I refuse to be part of any of the organized religious cults we have here. I say to all of those cults who say "science" is evil or wrong you better stop using it to stay alive then, and you will be damned to your own private hell for using an evil computer. Don't forget about math either, those evil Arabs came up with that. I want Tom Cruise to run for president. At least he is a good actor, unlike all the bad actors we have in the race. With John Travolta for VP, he can double as the pilot for Air Force 1 too. Most of those federal attorneys doing those "Fast and Furious" deals were Bush appointee's, and they were going after terrorist types too, remember just say NO to anything Obama wants done, even if you have to sacrifice national security to do it. Where was your concern for the justice system when you water boarded and otherwise tortured people just like the Japanese officers did to Americans in WW2. We have become the very monsters that our grand parents fought against.

Don't think so...Herman Cain is a fighter, he has lots of practical real life experience, and is a proven leader in the private sector, unlike Obama who after 3 years hasn't learned a thing about how to lead the country.
Ross Perot was a better businessman than Cain, did you support him when he ran for president? This country is not a for-profit business nor should it be ran like one. We tried that already, and it didn't work. We can't operate it like a bank either, history should back me on that. We don't need a "leader" at least I don't, we need someone who will represent us, the American people to the world. Congress isn't our leader(s) either, they are the People's House of Representatives, not just for the corporations, special interests or foreign countries like Israel, it seems that they have more of a voice in our house than we the majority do, aka We The People, and we get stuck with all the bills. They live "high-on-the-hog" while we suffer. Didn't we have a revolt against a monarchy before? It seems that our congress/government has become a big crew of kosher dingle berry pickers.

Blaming Obama for our economic woes is like blaming the weather man for the rain. The congress spends the money, the congress passes the spending bills, and it was the congress that declared war(s). I wish they would show us on a real map just where "Terra" is and tell us who the president of Terra is. It was the Blue Dogs aka the elephants in donkey suits in the congress that didn't let the democrat majority in congress do anything meaningful when they did have the majority. We need to take the election process away from the politicians and clean the people's house of all the corporat-craticans. I agree with Gov Buddy that we should outlaw all private PAC and corporate money from political campaigns at all levels. Also take all the big money requirements out of the picture to get real statesmen/women to run for the congress etc. It seems that you have to be a millionaire to run for US congress or senate. That is the main reason congress is fighting Obama's Jobs Act, they don't want to tax their fellow millionaires, and they don't want pay their share either. I think we should cut the salaries of all government officials making more than $100k a year by 14%, put them on medicare for their healthcare and merge their cushy retirement plan into the social security system and they can draw social security VS a better retirement than the average working American could get. I also think that their amount of pay should be directly related to their job performance, just like it is for a majority of the rest of us, and they only get a pay raise after they get a vote of 75% of their constituents to approve it. Those few things would save us about a billion $ over just 1 election cycle. It would also make social security solvent and it would ensure that congress wouldn't use it to balance their budget again, as they have done several times before. They can keep their grubby mitts off my retirement plan unless they are willing to throw their retirement plan in the pot too.

should come first in everything): All of those of you who would consider
yourselves to be Conservatives, Democrats, Green Party, Independents, Liberals,

Base the health benefits for all POLITICIAN’S including Mayors, Governor’s, Representatives and Senators on the averaged healthcare plans for ALL AMERICANS WITHIN THAT POLITICIANS DISTRICT.
Once you leave office, you must get a real job, because we are not providing for any of you anymore, as you certainly HAVE NOT, WILL NOT and ARE NOT PROVIDING FOR US, THE AMERICAN PUBLIC!!!
There are 303 million of us and if you take the lowest income to the highest income and averaged that, then this is what the package for our President would be. Do the same for ALL politicians. If they want more income, then it would behoove them to raise the standard of living for their entire constituent’s upward, thereby raising their own income…
MAKE IT ILLEGAL FOR ANY POLITICIANS TO VOTE THEMSELVES A PAY RAISE OR BENEFITS. In order to get a raise or better benefits, they must put it on the ballot and ask their particular constituents to approve or disapprove the raise or benefits.
The outsourcing to China and other nations could and would be stopped simply by raising the tariffs on imports to balance the cost, so that it would not matter where it was built, it is going to be the same cost.
Then watch the jobs start pouring back into America!
There would be no benefit to outsourcing and the inherent cost of creating plants and manufacturing facilities offshore would actually cost American companies far more than it would to simply build plants here.
Yes, initially it would cost all of us more to do so, but the very quick result (less than a year based upon most statistical analysis models) would be the pulling back of all jobs into America and the producing the goods we use here, right here in America. I mean really, do you want the beef you are buying at Wal-Mart to come all the way from Brazil? You don’t think it does? Better do some checking there Johnny boy!
AMERICAN WORKERS ARE AMONGST THE MOST HIGHLY SKILLED IN THE WORLD, but if you can accept scrap ratios of 20%~30%, because your product is built by people who make eight dollars a day in China and elsewhere and who have no Health Benefits and no retirement much less a 401K program, than anyone can see why our jobs have went overseas.
AND THERE NO LONGER WOULD BE A MOST FAVORED NATION STATUS FOR ANYONE!!!! NO, NOT ANYONE. Got that? Good!!!

And everyone pays the same amount of TAXES if you do business or work or live

And since it has been declared that corporations are people then they also pay

We as AMERICANS must stop this crap from going any further and make our POLITICIANS AND POLITICAL LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE for their
actions, impose terms limits on them, demand that they work together for the
common good of all Americans, stop the political graft and the corporate
lobbying and demand solutions that benefit all AMERICANS.
Now doesn't that sound far better than the anger and ideological posturing that is currently going on?
SO now, let’s get busy fixing this mess, instead of fighting amongst each other and finger pointing.
