Self-regulate, panic, repeat. Elizabeth Warren reminds us that we should've seen the financial crisis and Occupy Wall Street coming. A new viral video promoting the Occupy Wall Street movement features the Massachusetts Senate candidate in a 2009 interview with Dan Rather recounting the economic history Washington ignored that led to the protests we see today.

Indeed brilliance is at last a rarity if at all found. What is it that a two party system has left to offer but disgust corruption and outright greed with fairness for none? What we are in fact witnessing in magnitude is the plunder of the American empire that started at the outset of 9/11. How is it a thin air economy falters to begin with? Willing participation in its demise is the only equation left with true an equal answers. If I were to digress I would be wrong. Because all of the time the truth hurts in politics. What we continue to accomplish is nothing. Let us ponder why? There is NO Gold standard so what is it that is holding those failures to big to fail back from reiterating the money we in fact were forced to GIVE them? What is it in fact that sets them apart from those out of work who need not apply BECAUSE they have been out of work?
Without proper education without health care without jobs and without representation we are left to be pillaged by those more fortunate. How has it come to this you may ask? But that in fact is far and away from the wrong question indeed. A revolution must happen and this two party system taken down as its corruption fills the halls of justice without reprocution from anyone at all. When I think of fairness I think thoughts of justice and a duel set of laws for those fortunate and those less than. Because at its very basic onset society MUST have laws. God taught us this with the ten commandments. Yet laws of this nation are bought and tossed aside when it suites the wealthy to do so. This is why the guilty conscious of those in question are burdened by what they deem as class warfare. Because in fact they instinctively know that we are coming for THEM.
This thin air economy could be turned around on a dime but those on wall street and the proprietors of banks and the cult of greed refuse to continue participation in our economies well being. Instead vying for the biggest mattress. Our Government for the people by the people REFUSES to protect us from economic terrorism being perpetrated on us DAILY. And you say class warfare do you? Our government is in need of an up turning and an upswing in the chops. Because if we are not to be protected from economic terrorism in a money all important capitalistic country then we MUST protect ourselves by all means and at all costs. We must FORCE money out of our system of checks and balances NOW. Because the hour is late and I have NOT the time to dwell in the labyrinth of speak easys and cronyism. My eye is set on the hand of the king. ;]
Cheers luv.
GOP is also burning bridges by refusing Richard Cordray, not just refusing to fix bridges with the Jobs Bill! Boehner/McConnell/Cantor march to the sea! Revenge for Sherman's damage?
i love Elizabeth Warren. we need her voice in the senate.
I'm still not for sure what the actual demands / complaints of the OWS group- but I've read several "demand lists" or grievance lists. The group is seemingly sponsored heavily by organized labor.
Now for the question- One of the grievances is with the bailouts that occurred. One of the largest recipients was Big Auto (GM & Chrysler). Follow that up with bailout #2 (Cash for Clunkers). Is organized labor really backing the concept that these bailouts, etc were evil? Another element seems to be the forgiveness of all debt- obviously meaning that going forward, we would be a cash based society. Is Organized Labor really on board to the plan that people not borrow money to buy cars?
You scew the complaint sir. In fact the auto industry is not wall street. Was not bailed out in initially. Not until after Obama came into office. If you recall in proper terms the bailout and first stimulus occurred under George Bush Jr.
Furthermore the cash for clunkers happened well before the actual "bailout" of the auto industry. More so over you are remiss to focus on wall street instead vying for the auto industry as the implied target. When in all actuality of fact the auto industry succeeded and is paying back the cash IT has borrowed.
All the while wall street still falters the banks and investment firms we the people bailed out NOT only have not payed us back. But they in fact refuse to loan cash start up private enterprise and sit stagnant in the home of a hoarder. Failing. Once again. Failing. ;]
Cheers
Wow- Now that is the biggest re-write of history in the totally history of these MSNBC blogs. I think you need to check your basic facts. Auto Bailout was in 2008 under Bush- not that that makes it right or wrong. Except from your tone- I can tell you believe any bailout under Bush to be bad and under Obama to be good. That's why you need to check your facts. That is a basic one.
Then- surprise- Cash for Clunkers came after the auto bailout, not before. And- guess what- the facts will also show that the auto bailout has indeed cost the taxpayers money. Another easy fact for you to check.
If you are an OWS person- then I'm starting to understand the list of demands I read.
Sir if you are in fact speaking to me you should address me as such. Your absolute disdain for title leaves you lacking. Furthermore you cannot infer anything about me. For you do not know anything about me or me at all. But it was not under George Bush Jr. who bailed out the auto industry in question. In fact they were left to falter.
It is truly sad that people such as yourself exist. One so smug as to believe yourself clairvoyant. Claiming to know me well by a short comment indeed. Quite narcissistic behavior you have shown to us all.
And what is more is this. You believing you can infer my tone by my writing without asking shows ignorance on an unimaginable scale. Quite literally ignorant. Having the nerve to assume so much while knowing so little is quite enthralling for you I am sure. But to the rest of us it leaves you, well.. Lacking. ; ]
Post Script. As a great man Phillip Dunphy once said in quip.
"People really need to stop putting their own voices to these things"!
Cheers luv.
You are right about one thing. I really don't kow anything about you, except, of course, that you have the timeline of events wrong.
And now- I think I should apologize to the OWS group, because I had assumed you were part of it. It has become clear that you are really a right wing troll who is intentionally saying easily checked, incorrect things under the guise of being an OWS person.
You sir are lacking. I am none of the things you wish to assume that I am. But you in fact are delusional. And I say this not as a name call. But as an outright description of your outlandish accusations without basis or fact. Good day ;]
Cheers hun.
Bye Bye. A little fact check before writing will sometimes save you some embarrassment.
Excellent video! I noticed they don't credit who put it together. It was D.C. Douglas (actor and voice over guy who went up against FreedomWorks last year).
The video is from his blog post. Google "The DC Douglas Blog"
-- #LastWord, please link your post to his. That would be proper internet etiquette. ;-)
