Today, Chris Christie formally endorsed Willard M. Romney for the Republican presidential nomination during a press conference.
The New Jersey governor, who bowed out of his own bid 2012 for the White House to the dismay of many in the GOP establishment, said it was an "easy decision" to make his pick. Christie said the former Massachusetts governor boasts the right mix of experience in the private sector and government to lead the country.
Christie showered him with praise saying, "I'm here in New Hampshire today for one simple reason: America cannot survive another four years of Barack Obama, and Mitt Romney's the man we need to lead America, and we need him now."
The bromance is mutual. Romney called Christie a "hero" for his tough talk politics and big government spending cuts in the Garden State. Romney said of Christie, "He is a man who has a following of a lot of folks across this country, and so when he indicated a willingness to join my team, I could not have been more pleased and more happy."
A new NBC News /Marist poll shows Romney leading the GOP field in two early primary states — but the numbers vary drastically; While Romney's ahead by 30-points in New Hampshire, he's only inching by former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain by three percent points in Iowa, most likely due to his lack of support among the tea party.

Mitt is looking at the governor too intensely. I know that's just how he looks at people (cf. the debates) but it's creepy. These two are quite the study in differences in personal traits. While I don't agree with Chris Christie on much, I can see why some Republicans wanted him as an alternative to Mitt who is still too stiff, scripted and formal.
I listened to romney and you could see he was just ticked off that he had to get the endorsement of some fat guy from New Jersey to please the GOP. Message to Mitt: THE GOP HATES YOU, and they ALWAYS will.
I wonder if they pay to have someone endorse them. The way I know Republican, (because I was one of them), to charge for appearances and endorsements if the norm.

chris christie is very popular with the base of the republican party. there is no better endorsement for mitt romney right now. i still hear republicans saying that they don't want mitt to be the last one standing, but i also hear less resistance overall to that possibility. and with chris christies endorsement, i expect there will be more acceptance of mitt as the candidate of the republican party. whether or not they hate him will NOT be the main issue. the republicans will learn to accept that "winning" is the bottom line no matter who the final candidate is.

No, mitt is pissed because he HAS to get Christie's endorsement. He is pissed because he wants GOP voters to like him for who he is, and that he has to get the approval of the person that the GOP wants to be president more than him.

If people are smart they will not vote for someone who took companies, fired their workers and then when they were nice and hungry hired them again through an outsourcer for 35% less salary. Or maybe you may be too dumb and that is why you would vote for a party when its last president joked about not finding weapons of mass destruction in 2004, while out young men an women died in Iraq.
God will never let him be president............and neither will we. And neither will the rest of the disgraceful republicans running for president.

Chris christie knows what hes doing though, because he knows hes only brought unemployment up and done sh*t, just like rick perry. So I say, Vote for RIck Perry. (Mabye I should move to Iowa and register as a GOP just to vote for Perry.)

I am so sorry people but you haven't seen poor yet..............as soon as they get control of the white house it's all over for the middle class as we used to be and the all of us will be working in America alright under real low paying jobs maybe lower than minimum wage. Our children's schools will be falling apart while their children's schools will look beautiful witht he best teachers . They will seperate our races again and there will be chaos in the streets.
The president job bill was turned down again and these tea party republicans have to be bought down. We are paying them and yet they are saying we mst of us aren't paying our fare share of taxes. And they think it's our own faults that we have no job even though we lost our jobs because our jobs went over seas to China and chilli and other countries. I saw how many people are homeless and living in tents with their children with no food because they lost their jobs and then their homes and now their dignity.
The republicans think their are great christians and yet I have a question for them, and it's this: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO????? Certainly not what they are doing because jesus was a kind man who cared about the poor and the sick. It was the people with greed and power and stupidity that destroyed jesus.
Poor and middle class people are sincere people, the kind of people who with their last quarter to their name will give to someone needier. I am proud to be who I am and so are the rest of us in the 99%.
