Chris Christie may not be running for president this go around, but he gave a recent speech where he laid out a possible GOP strategy against President Obama. Like Giuliani before him, the New jersey governor has a geographic advantage of being close to Wall Street fat cats. He's very smartly using this to his advantage to secure funds for future political campaigns.
A heavily-caffeinated Lawrence talked to MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell this afternoon about Christie's savvy political strategy and why "he's doing everything right" by stringing our rumors of a 2012 bid.
Lawrence called Christie "the smartest Republican candidate playing in the game this year — and the game is Christie re-election in New jersey then a national future after that."

I missed Lawrence's conversation with Andrea today. However, I do want to add something to the Christie mania. Am I the only person that finds it ironic that the man who is the governor of the state that passed the strictest anti bullying law in the country has a man who repeatedly bullys his people. Check the tape: "Why don't you guys take a bat to her" - Christie to a news reporter questioning him about one of his legislators who had the audacity to criticize him. Or perhaps this gem: "If you don't like it, get out and get another job." (Spoken to a teacher who asked why he was attacking teachers and their union) Or perhaps this gem: "It is none of your business where I send my children to school." (Spoken to a voter who asked how he could defend taking so much money out of the public school system. Honestly, if this man worked in corporate America and spoke to his employees, he would be brought up on harassement charges. Further, if he were a teacher and spoke to students in such a manner, parental protests would resound throughout the state. Why are the people of that state so silent. Oh, I forgot, much of NJ is comprised of his wealthy corporate owners. That explains a lot. Hope he stays in NJ - if they tolerate that nonsense, they deserve him.
