Michael Moore joins us tonight at 8pm ET, live from the site of the Occupy Wall Street protests. Here's a look at stories shaping tonight's full rundown.
- Wall Street protests continue this week
- Second video of NYPD officer pepper spraying crowd has surfaced
- Chris Christie sounds like candidate in Reagan Library speech
- The Perry vs. Romney endorsement battle
- Norquist to Buffett: Send government your money instead of griping about not raising taxes
- Sarah Palin flub's Herman Cain's name
- Lawyer says Jackson doctor sought CPR machine

I think the WallStreet protestors should demand that:
1. Credit Reporting Agencies to ease up their rating until things normalize.
2. That those who cause the unemployment to stand trial and explain the reason for the policies they implemented. Ex. Mr. Bush you gave tax payers money away.
3. Dismantle ALEC and organizations like it.
4. Restore all rights of the employees of all companies to belong to the union. No more at will companies.
5. For companies not to discriminate, but to hire those whom, because of those policies of "firing and then hire for less".
6. A moratorium to stop the distribution of H1B visas. And to fine any employer who will not comply with the immigration laws.
7. To stop the influx of war time refugees and stop the refugee benefits of the war that should not have happen.
8. The most important to have Bush/Cheney administration to stand trial for the abuse of authority, conflict of interests (oil), and for Joking about not finding WOMDs while our young men and women died in Iraq, for a war shat should not have happen.
Afrommi: Complete agreement.
Agreed, but let's face it, just not gonna happen. Best to work on things that are actually feasible.
Here is the Agenda for WS Occupation: Make sure everybody votes in 2012 and overwhelmingly elect Democrats, including Obama, and then we can get things done for the people of the United States, without Republicans watering down every bill that Obama administration proposes.
Cherry on top: Tea Partiers sitting on the sidelines

Dorian Gray: I stand w/ you & I believe most Americans stand w/ you.
The citizens of every state that has been settled w/ Republican governors & do not accept the rulings that have been handed down by such; must go to the polls & vote. Just a reminder, most of these states are devising new ways to prevent voters from exercising their right to vote. Specially in democratic strongholds. Talk about voter suppression! The GOP is tops in this game.
When I worked in an ER for 4 years in California, there were suspects brought in beaten up on a routine basis.
Over the years I noticed that it was always the same group of 4 or 5 cops and their partners each time.
Once I heard one standing in the corner beating his fist against his palm, muttering like a mad man, "I should've killed that f**king Ni**er."
I told the charge nurse. She said, mind your own business. That guys going to jail.
Sadly, I'm not surprised at this at all. Too bad you didn't notify the media or even the police dept.
Lawrence,
Thank you very much for your coverage of Occupy Wall Street!
It is very appreciated.
Thank you for doing some real reporting! Exposing the brutality of the NYPD is important in this day and age. Lets open the forum of the media to talk with protesters!! We are working to fix the system through the system. In my opinion that is the roll media should be playing now. We are the 99% help unify us!
Time to fact check Norquist and ALL THE OTHERS THAT SCREAM, "Just write a check, Mr. Buffet." That's what they say! Well, here's the facts! If Warren Buffett writes a check to the IRS over and above his tax obligation, he'll get a TAX REFUND! It happens every year to everybody that experiences an overpayment to the IRS. Typically it can happen in income withholdings, but also refundable tax credits over and above one's tax obligations can have the same affect. So the next time you hear someone say; hey, he should just write a check! You've got the answer to their statement!
Reminder to all who care: President Obama must be re-elected to 2nd term. The congress must return to democratic control -major majority in both the house & the senate. I would say 3/4 majority in the house & 2/3 majority in the senate!!
Please don't say "it cannot be done". If the American people will it, it will happen! Just make sure everyone is register to vote. Don't wait till the last minute, register early to avoid any unpleasantness, and make sure your registration is in the right polling place. If any doubts- ask questions- your county recorder or whatever the designation in your particular area, must be truthfull. Remember these people are public servants & you are the public. Of course, we are a civilized society, so be pleasant & courteous. But VOTE !!
Thank you so much Mr. O'Donnell. It means so much to us on the ground that there are still people in the media who are fighting to spread the truth.
Some of the brutality seen that day didn't make the cameras but I saw it with my own eyes and it's something I'll never forget.
I've spent 4 days Occupying Wallstreet (Liberty Plaza) 12 hours of which was spent in custody, and I plan to go back.
This occupation is far from over. Thank you again.
When repubs start screaming, class warfare! That means the dems are winning the argument. They have no place to run and sees the hand coming against them! Think about the President's address to Congress, the Repubs looked worried and now you see why!
Thanks to Lawrence O. and Michael M. for helping to put the spotlight on these Wall Street and Banking crooks. I understand that asking "a crowd" for a list of specific demands is next to impossible, but the questions are all there to be heard. What was the result of repealing Glass-Steagall regulations, and why should't they be reinstated? What have the various trade agreements meant to American workers? Why can't we end these unfair agreements and these dreadful wars? Why can't we tax the wealthiest, who live in obscene luxury, to help offset the increased expenses incurred by government? Who packaged all the bad loans into derivatives, who perpetrated the naked short selling and market manipulation, and who ran off with trillions of dollars; and why aren't they in jail? What is the difference between Monarchy, constitutionally banned, and the Plutocracy which has now replaced it? What does it take to get a response from our Representatives?
My usual viewing is via Firefox, but it's not playing any MSNBC clips for me today, so I turned to Safari. And then I was greeted with ExxonMobil ads. mygawd, who inserts these ads? Is MSNBC advertising these folks on tv?
And, THANK YOU for Wall Street coverage, and for your excellent reminders that police brutality and death row are accepted when the victims are not white.
I've commented on this before, however the advertisers work with cable marketing folks and buy blocks of time on many channels well in advance. Some would actually buy for the entire year!
The channel itself and it's hosts really have no say. I worked for many years for the cable industry, just the way it works.
So many articles written by heavy hitters in regard to President Obama and the US’s likely veto of the Palestinians bid for statehood and how the US has and continues to lose credibility and influence
Hillary Mann Leverett really zings Obama
link to raceforiran.com
“But it is the Palestinian issue that highlights the extent of Obama’s craven ineptitude. In his address to the General Assembly last year, see here, Obama declared that, within the coming year, there should be “an agreement that will lead to a new member of the United Nations—an independent, sovereign state of Palestine, living in peace with Israel”. (This was the sole “applause line” in the speech.) One year later, Obama used his speech today (which elicited, literally, no applause from the General Assembly as it was delivered) to lead the charge against United Nations recognition of a Palestinian state. And, as with his remarks about Afghanistan and Iraq, the level of intellectual dishonesty in Obama’s comments about Palestine was astounding even for a politician running for re-election. ”

Palestine Vote Showcases the Decline of American Power
Sep 27, 2011
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas listens as President Barack Obama speaks at the U.N. on Sept. 21.
By Juan Cole
The United States, castigated by its critics as recently as a decade ago as a “hyper-power,” is now so weak and isolated on the world stage that it may cast an embarrassing and self-defeating veto of Palestinian membership in the United Nations. Beset by debt, mired in economic doldrums provoked by the cupidity and corruption of its business classes, and on the verge of withdrawing from Iraq and ultimately Afghanistan in defeat, the U.S. needs all the friends it can get. If he were the visionary we thought we elected in 2008, President Obama would surprise everyone by rethinking the issue and coming out in favor of a U.N. membership for Palestine. In so doing, he would help the U.S. recover some of its tarnished prestige and avoid a further descent into global isolation and opprobrium.”

A Disturbing and Dangerous Week at the U.N.

“This was a disturbing and dangerous week at the United Nations. After all the drama leading up to this session of the General Assembly, we come away with three troubling facts clearly established: the Palestinians, despite a valiant effort, are no closer to a state; the Israelis are more isolated, yet more emboldened than before; while the United States emerges from the week weaker and less trusted as a world leader.”

Motivating enemies: Interventionists and the UN veto

For most of a decade I have said in books, articles, interviews, and speeches that America’s war with the growing Islamist movement is motivated by the Islamists’ belief that U.S. foreign policy is an attack on their faith and brethren. Generally, this effort has been akin to yelling into a closet. The dominance of pro-Saudi and especially pro-Israel political influence and money in both political parties, the media, and the academy is just too strong to allow more than fleeting opportunities to tell Americans that they — and their soldier-children — are and will continue to be at war because of the impact in the Muslim world of the foreign policy of Washington and its NATO allies.

Obama Tells Palestinians to Stay in Back of Bus

President Obama’s speech at the United Nations yesterday paled in comparison to the soaring, expectation raising addresses he gave early in his administration, particularly in Cairo, but also at past UN General Assembly gatherings. The President has lost his groove.
Obama opened with FDR’s line that “We have got to make, not merely a peace, but a peace that will last.” This was the perfect set up line for the President to describe how the United States was going to reinvent its leadership in an increasingly complex world where the old rules are not working.
President Obama could have described in his address a new set of global deals among the world’s last era powers and ones now rising — particularly Brazil, India, Turkey, China — and talked about the need for responsible stakeholders in the international system to deliver on a package of rights and opportunities for citizens of the world, perhaps a new Global Social Compact that America could help design but which would need to be supported, ratified if you will, by other of the world’s great powers.
Obama’s list of crimes keeps growing.
Peace through killing. Drones not doves. Real serious contradictions. How many civilians have been killed?
War By “Lethal Autonomy”
As the Drone Flies
by RALPH NADER
The fast developing predator drone technology, officially called unmanned aerial vehicles or UAVs, is becoming so dominant and so beyond any restraining framework of law or ethics, that its use by the U.S. government around the world may invite a horrific blowback.
First some background. The Pentagon has about 7,000 aerial drones. Ten years ago there were less than 50. According to the website longwarjournal.com, they have destroyed about 1900 insurgents in Pakistan’s tribal regions. How these fighters are so clearly distinguished from civilians in those mountain areas is not clear.
Nor is it clear how or from whom the government gets such “precise” information about the guerilla leaders’ whereabouts night and day. The drones are beyond any counterattack—flying often at 50,000 feet. But the Air Force has recognized that a third of the Predators have crashed by themselves.

How many civilians have been killed by US drones. How do we know that the "insurgents" are not innocent? Random killing? Seems the US is unwilling to count the dead just like the US was unwilling to count the dead that our country is responsible for in Iraq

By conservative estimate, more than 35,000 Pakistanis have been killed from 2004 to 2010 and more than 40,000 have been injured during that period by the various parties to the conflict. This does not include the likely deaths of tens of thousands more combatants — both insurgents and Pakistani government forces. Given the pace of the fighting in 2011, several thousand more have likely already been killed and wounded this year.
