President Obama caught off guard during a picture with leaders at the United Nations on Tuesday,
See, presidents are just like us — even they take dorky photos sometimes. This picture of President Obama and other world leaders was snapped during yesterday's Open Government Partnership event at the United Nations in New York. Was he waving to someone?
Obama addressed the General Assembly this morning, emphasizing the need for direct negotiations as a critical step in the peace process. We'll have more on his speech, and how it played out with the home crowd, tonight at 8pm ET.

Beautiful picture.
Obama is not just the president of the United States.
Obama is our hope for a better world.
Can you imagine the jostling that went on to get into position for the pic. No one wanted to stand behind the one with the oversized ears because of the shadows
Oh be nice. How rude!
Big ears.
Understand why you call your self Crackhead because you are ONE CRACKHEAD
I am trying to be nice. It's just that every time I see him, I can't help to picture a volkswagon beetle going down the middle of an 8-lane highway, all alone with its doors open. Just being honest
LOL! I love Obama. Who is the person who is studying the back of his hand?
I think the dude behind him has bunnys up.
lol Does anyone notice that the President has his hand in front of the face of one of the Asian leaders? Talk about an international incident.
I think this is a Brietbarth photo shop. No way is Obama that stupid.
You wrong because he is more than stupid
Greg- you are probably right about that. I think he was probably really smart in school, and probably the smartes one sitting around the poker table having a beer- but he sure does stupid things every time he turns around.
Michael Moore and Alex Baldwin just walked in the room.
You forgot Barak Hussein Obama
Undoubtedly folks nurtured on the insanity of Bush-Cheney era are averse to anyone who shows signs of rationality.
President Obama's weakness is doing a balancing act which doesn't always work. Especially when confronted with the mind -set bent upon toppling him & just that.
Showing some mettle is what the other side understands.
As for his speech at the UN & effort to combat the will of the international community in reference to Israel-Palestine confict, the time to continue with our failed policies in the M.East is no more.
The Oslo accord became a farce & a cruel joke for Palestinians in the last ten years and left with just 22% of their historic land, shrinking by the day the situation becomes almost hopeless for them. Our role as an 'Honest Broker' in the peace process has long lost credibility with our unwavering & irrational support of the policies of the far-far right regime in Tel Aviv.
Growing criticism by Jews in Israel & abroad of the policies of Netanyahu & support of two-state solution of the conflict combined with the winds of change blowing across M.East should be a wake up call for our policy makers.
Its vital in the interest of America to see a just & honest resolution of this conflict. Geo-political, strategic, economic & military ( as any commander on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan would tell you).
its time to stand on the right side of history. No longer can we afford to let those up on the Hill & in Washington with dual loyalty, to keep us subservient to Tel Aviv. got to realize that we are a sovereign nation.
The official picture is here, if you're interested.
It's obvious the "funny" picture was taken before everyone was set for the official photo. Unless, of course, your hatred for Obama so clouds your judgement that you can't think rationally, even for a second.
We must not be able to include url's in our comments. I put the url in the comment above, but it keeps disappearing. Do a google search on "open government partnership launch" and you'll find the link to the official photo that was taken that day.
