Watching your show, I heard Chris Matthews commenting on the Warren Buffet comment, as well as statements made by Pres. Obama that about his own willingness to pay more taxes. Chris Matthews comment was that it seemed phony because rich people aren't really sacrificing anything and it's really not a big deal to them etc... But that is precisely the point! They can afford to pay it and it's not a big deal for them. But it *IS* a big deal to the rest of us because it would make such a huge difference in the economy right now! It is a point that cannot be driven home enough. I love Chris, but I completely disagree with him on this. ....I love you too, Lawrence. Keep it up! Chuck

I have complete and full faith that even though the proposals put forth by the President last night - including those that the Greedy Old Party has advocated in the past - that the teabaggers and Greedy Old Party will soundly reject all aspects of the plan. Why you ask ...?
Because for the teabaggers and Greedy Old Party, as they have stated ad nauseum, THE #1 priority is to ensure President Obama is a one term president. Not jobs, not moving the country forward, but stopping the President in his tracks. How do they accomplish their goal? By ensuring that our economy continues to tank. Anything that might give a hint of light at the end of the economic tunnel will give this country the ability to start seeing things in a more optimistic and the teabaggers and Greedy Old Party can't have that ... in their infantile world, it is better to further denigrate this country in order to score political points with their infantile and moronic base than it is to, however grudgingly, give the President kudos for a job well done.
What the children of the rabid and ridiculous teabagging right fail to acknowledge - whether willfully or not - is simple and basic marketing - in order to make money, one must spend money. Anyone in business will tell you this basic common sense fact. In order to put American's back to work, our government must get serious about financing infrastructure projects which will put people to work. And, once people start working again and more people are secure in their jobs, people will start spending again ... and what happens next? The economy moves forward ... f**king BRILLIANT!

Boeing Co.'s $750 million aircraft plant in North Charleston is at the heart of a growing labor rift pitting the aerospace giant against one of its biggest unions and now a federal agency.
The National Labor Relations Board sued the company Wednesday, saying Boeing shifted some of its 787 Dreamliner production to South Carolina partly to retaliate against the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for past strikes in Washington state.
The NLRB is seeking a court order that would require Boeing to maintain its second 787 assembly line in the Pacific Northwest, an IAMAW stronghold. If successful, that could stop Boeing from building the plane in North Charleston.
Boeing said Thursday that it plans to "vigorously contest" the lawsuit. A hearing has been scheduled for June 14 in Seattle.
"This claim is legally frivolous and represents a radical departure from both NLRB and Supreme Court precedent," said J. Michael Luttig, Boeing's general counsel.
The lawsuit alleges that the company engaged in unfair labor practices in 2009 when it picked Charleston International Airport as the site of its second 787 assembly plant rather than expand its existing, unionized Dreamliner factory in Everett, Wash.

Read by hiring staff, company owners and small business men. They recommending a direction of vocation to meet the applicants need.

the individual mandate first came to light during the first bush presidency, by an economist, mark pauly.
in the early 1990's mccain spoke of it as a "counter" to hillarycare.
tommy thompson, secretary of health and human services under W. bush said , "just like people are required to have car insurance, they could be required to have health insurance".
and of course, we all know about mitt romney who embraced the republican idea, thinking he was safe to do so until our President brought it to the table for health care reform, and then it was a dirty word. the republicans have acted absolutely shameless in this, rebuking an idea that they thought of, AND SUPPORTED, until President Obama brought it to the table.
obviously you are young and do not know the history of the individual mandate. you also do not know that a republican would never have suggested that the individual mandate be brought on to reform health care, if President Obama were leading the charge. when President Obama agreed with the republicans on the individual mandate (he was not for it when he was campaigning), he thought he would bring republicans to the table in support of the legislation.
this is just another example of how the republican party has turned their back on the american people, and refuse to do anything for them, because they are looking at it as a win for the president.

It is probably difficult to buy a used car on a low wage. Seems our government made the decision to make the poor take the brunt of cash-for-clunkers deal to benefit auto workers. The poor had millions of used vehicles taken out of the supply base- thusly driving up their costs. Just one example of how an unintended consequence can harm the people.

Had programs - such as the bail out to the auto industry and Cash for Clunkers - not been initiated like the teabaggers and repukelicant's wanted - all aspects of the auto industry would have been negatively affected, ie: lost jobs from the auto makers to to dealers to parts manufacturers and auto parts delivery outfits.

That said- it was a sure thing it helped the automakers and their support teams. What about the immense cost of paying private contractors while our military have a controlled cost. Ezekiel mentions in 16:49-50 that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah is because they were selfish and did not take care of the poor. Proverbs 31:8-9 to fight for the rights of the poor. In Luke 11:39 Jesus attacks the ruling authority for not taking care of the poor. In Proverbs 14:It clearly states that if we oppose helping the poor than its a direct insult to God. in Amos 5:11 God warns any leader who refuses to help the poor that they will be uprooted from their lands. in Leviticus 23:22 God Commands that we set apart part of the harvest for the poor. Proverbs 22:16 states: Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty. James 5:1-5 states that Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. The entire history of mankind and our country has been a mostly socialist one. Where the government took care of the poor and diseased and did not make a profit off it.
