No comments? Just goes to show how many people actually watch you!! You are everything that's wrong with this country right now (along with that clown Mathews)!
Good luck Larry....
You must be lost, those statements belong on the fixed news website.
You are wrong about 911. Giuliane did what he could do at that time. You don't know anything about all the facts. Mayor Giuliane did evrything right. You need rewritte your comments. I think you need get out from a public view..
maria,
so you agree with Giuliani putting the command post at ground zero?
what was he thinking?
it is impossible for Giuliana to have done EVERYTHING right, when as himself said, they had never been through anything of this magnitude before.
why would he inisist on putting the command post at ground zero, when others were telling him not to. it seems that logical sense might have prevailed.
Your post was at 11:55 10 seconds after Lawrence reported this fact. No comments?
He backed up his facts by saying talk to the NYFD
Lawrence gets the facts right, he does his homework unlike FOX
exactly.....3 hours after his show aired....i'm in ct.....lol
You ever notice how Larry gets real dramatic. like he's trying to win an Oscar or something. His ratings must be in the tank and should be, he is a DH. MSNBC must really be desperate when the give a show to Al Sharpton, he fits in good with Larry, Matthews, Maddow, and fat Mr. Ed. I said it before and I'll say it again, it's like watching the Jerry Springer show.
@adam1: interesting comment, perhaps would be a good idea to research Mr. O'Donnell's accomplishments. A damn sight better than all those chirping heads combined on Fox Faux World, all being tools of Murdock World..hurry up investigation, Ailes is as dirty as they come.
rupert murdoch's fox news in new york had/has a black ops room used to hack into the phone's of the families of 9/11 victims. they also snooped into their employees emails.
i wonder what else they have hacked into.
A typical Giuliani speech usually goes like this; me 911, me911, me911 me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911,me911
Give it a rest, Rob. It was only posted a few minutes ago.
As for the topic at hand, I agree; Giuliani is a prevaricating blowhard. It'll be fun to watch him run again; it was so funny the last time!
PS--Rob, I also notice that this has been recommended on facebook 142 times already, and tweeted 19 times--in just about an hour since it was posted.
Sal you are wrong!!
Great job Lawrence, I watch you all the time. You tell it like it is. Have seen Giuliani talk many times and all I hear is Me911, Me911, Me911, Me911, Me911, Me911, Me911, Me911 Me911 and to think he was one of my law enforcement heroes when he was with the Dept of Justice. He won't get my vote.
Aa Ha! Rob F-3998608: so much for your take on "whats wrong with this country".
Thousands of people watch the Last Word with Lawrence McDonnell and Hardball with Chris Matthews. I for one watch faithfully each and every night.
Now as for ole Rudy Boy, you damn right he's trying to rewrite history. HERO? Just direct this question to the FDNY and hear what the REAL heroes have to say about Mr. Giuliani's claim to fame.
In reality, there are just about 40% Dem's(Liberals), and 40% Repub's ( Conser -vatives). The other 20% is the group I belong to, Independents. I want policies that reflect a balance of the two larger groups ideals. Frankly, that's where most of us are anyway. So stop the bashing...it just displays ignorance.
why do you consider this bashing? lawrence is clearly telling the truth of what happened that led to the deaths of so many fireman.
do you have a problem with this particular truth?
Thousands of people, maybe 2,000 what an audience of basement dwelling knuckleheads.
We listen to Lawrence in this household but we are not into writing comments Rob! Glsd you are watching with us! Stay tuned!
O'Donnell ia ABSOLUTELY correct in his assessment
I love Chris and Melissa, but it's wonderful to have Lawrence back and really stick it to self-promoters like Guiliani.
Holy Cow! I didn't know all this! All I ever heard from the Media was that he won the National Hero's Badge! Now I realize the truth after 10 years! He won't get my vote! QUICO!
I wouldn't have voted for G'iani regardless of his alleged heroism. I'm glad that this has been exposed. I had no idea that the NYC emerg response center was in one of the twin towers. OMG! What a douche. That written. It's great to have the LO back on his show. I wish ExxonMobil was not an advertiser however. They keep promoting the tar sands science and I am vehemently against the Keystone pipeline. I usually remove my headphones during those commercials.
what was Guilani doing, channelling TS Garp with his "just because the plane had hit the house once, you think it would never hit the house again" mentality? i have never read in any of history where the general puts his command post on the front line of any war. of course accessibilty should be a consideration, but accessible from a safe distant from what is percieved to be the major threat target.
While Lawrence is right, Giuliani certainly didn't profit on it as much as Bush and Cheney/Halliburton did.
What a piece of sh*t. If anyone ever wondered how desperate MSNBC is, this answered your question.
Lawrence,
You're a joke! Do us a favor and quit! You stink!
Lawrence,You stink!
How does Rudy Giuliani sleep at nite? Well done, Lawrence. Thanks for exposing this fraudster.
If anyone at MSNBC is reading, you need to lose the exxon ads. I have state of the art computer, but the oil industry ads are so screwed, I cannot watch the shows, unless I'm willing to spend 2 hours waiting for the ads to run between segments. It's disgusting, especially with the corporate lies being spewed by these corporations.
I agree totally, the ads for natural gas drilling (fracking) are disgusting. Also hate the Huckabee ad to repeal Healthcare Bill.. half second of show and four minutes of ads. I know sponsors are needed to pay for air time however a little discrection re what ad would be pleasing.
I agree with you, I find the ads to be out of step with the tone of the programming, and the demographics of their viewers; however, I have to admit that it proves that msnbc doesn't allow its sponsors to dictate their shows' content! And I say, hats off to them for that!
Too bad, Lawrence, that you didn't dig deeper. What you would have found is that the PREVIOUS emergency headquarters was in a very non-descript two story building in Maspeth, Queens. It was strategically located so that no portion of the city was more than a 20 minute drive from the facility. The previous emergency headquarters was sold to J & R Electronics () and serves today as their warehouse, base for their website, and the main emergency room is their phone-sales facility. It would be illuminating to know what J & R paid for that building, which was absolutely perfect for their use, and served as the city's emergency preparedness headquarters far before Giuliani ever took office.
Thank you Lawrence O'Donnell! I am glad someone finally pointed this out: Giuliani is a Fraud and con artist, in on the biggest con of all.
I am willing to admit that during the castastrophe, the "Nation's Mayor" looked very impressive as he ran through the streets around the buildings while people were responding. He didn't put on a Fireman's protective gear and go into or even stand at the ready to actually administer aid to fallen police, firemen or any citizens lucky enough to come out the front doors.
Since then, just like a turkey vulture, he daily returns to the bodies of those fallen and feeds on the carcasses. He rips off enough to feel nurished and then runs to FOX and selected gatherings and clings to the hope that the nation will believe his lies and elect him as the nation's President. His ego keeps him trying, but hopefully the nation never reaches a point that it puts him on the pedistal that only he believes he deserves to be perched upon.
Maybe we should bring dinkens back, if any of you lived in nyc during his term you would remember it was like thunderdome, you could'nt walk the streets!! Rudy cleaned up the city and made it safe for you and you kids to enjoy nyc!!
Like I said, nbc/msnbc is not even a news org anymore...it's a republican/conservative hating org!!
Thanks Lawrence, you said needed to be said...
It's really too bad for America's sake, that when the truth comes out, people don't put party lines aside. It makes no difference what party Rudy belongs to, not heeding solid strong advice form experts in their field is totally unacceptable. Communications headquarters is NEVER EVER located in a forward position. What was Rudy thinking, or was he.
I guess you had to there in 1993 to see how we felt. Rudi was not mayor until 1994. Walking distance is no criteria? How about so he could get there easily even if traffic were shut down. As to the radios, complete lies by O'Donnel.
