A new Republican front-runner emerged today in the race for the White House, according to a new Gallup poll. Rick Perry's been in the race for less than two weeks, and he’s already crowding out other presidential contenders. All that anti-science talk certainly makes one stand out.
The poll shows the Texas governor leading the pack at 29 percent, followed by Willard M. Romney at 13 percent, Ron Paul coming in at 13 percent and Michele Bachmann trailing at 10 percent among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents. Out of the current field of candidates, the numbers suggest it pays to push the right-wing envelope, as the moderate Jon Huntsman only clocked in at one percent.

guessing Perry/Parry will be falling back down went the rest of the country understands he is not as smart as a bush, he maybe be brighter on the political side but that will only get you threw the primary's. Then like the lying teapubliecants who was voted in had to show their true reasons. and could not hide behind the lies.

I hope Rick Perry does get the nomination. There is no way he can beat President Obama, and Rick Perry will be gone from Texas. So I am happy to see that. I think people have been deluded or brain washed into believing the anarchist message of the Tea Party. I think that is why they vote for them.

This is really scary. Just remember to GOTV. We need everyone's boots on the ground for 2012. I am not letting anyone but President Obama make the next 3, yes 3 ,Supreme Court Justice nominations.
Hayes said (something like) Ron Paul gets most of his support because of Paul's extreme(ly bad) ideas... but, I don't know... maybe that's where most of the support comes from, but a huge amount of his 'cult following' is from ethical issues: ending the war on the users of illegal drugs, and specifically ending the tyrannical cannabis prohibition. That is deeply moral; pot is healthy its use should actually be encouraged... Paul is on the ethical side of that issue.
-also, on NPR, a lady who wasn't informed enough said she simply supported Paul on the anti-war topic... maybe she hadn't heard of Bernie Sanders or Kucinich, I don't know, but Paul is generally moral on that topic. Also, he supports auditing the Federal Reserve which might be a good idea; I'm not sure, but I think Sanders supports that, so it might be good...
anyway... Paul has some totally stupid ideas, & he acts like a whiny, spoiled, somewhat dishonest, out of touch old man, but lots of his support is based on a few moral stances (which seem to miss the bad stuff)...
I predict 5 to 10 more front runners before the GOP convention. Plenty of material for late night talk shows.
Why, if corporations are people, are we bothering with the GOP line up. Just nominate Exxom Mobile or Citi Bank for Presedent? How about BP for Presedent? Corporations are people, my friends!

fox seems bent on staying behind in reporting current material. The above notes and comments are old news. there is enough going on today that there is not need to keep this on the internetl. fox may be fair and balanced but you seem to be behind the times.
