Rep. Paul Ryan (file)
One rising star in the Republican Party will not be running for president, at least this go around.
"While humbled by the encouragement, I have not changed my mind," Rep. Paul Ryan said today in a statement.
The Wisconsin congressman added, "I remain hopeful that our party will nominate a candidate committed to a pro-growth agenda of reform that restores the promise and prosperity of our exceptional nation. I remain grateful to those I serve in Southern Wisconsin for the unique opportunity to advance this effort in Congress."
His plan to end Medicare as we know it, propelled him into the spotlight among fellow conservatives. Dick Cheney even said he worshiped the guy. Democrats and economists widely panned his budget proposal.
Rumors of a 2012 run circulated around both Ryan and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Seeing as how his plan "Path to Prosperity" has been so well recieved by alomst no one, and he is so well liked by Dick "Darth Vader" Cheney, it was probably the first good idea he has had to not run for president.
guessing ryan is more worried about keeping his congress job next year.
there should be a big push in Wisconsin to out him and Johnson and Dyer etc...!!!!
I say Lets go Democrats,,, but i rather say LETS GO AMERICA!!!!!!
As it should be a America/American thing!
as we won WWII not for a party but for the COUNTRY!!!!!! yes i know over simplification.
Oh thank God for miracles just what we would need He knows from his town hall meetings even his constituents wouldnt even vote for him From what I seen of him he gets quite upset when he gets egg on his face
Thank God for a Washington Miracle!
