Richard Belzer's permanent sign of devotion.
When Richard Belzer stopped by to chat with Lawrence tonight about his mentor Jerry Lewis' departure from the Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon after nearly 45 years, Richard tried to show Lawrence the tattoo he sports of the comic legend. Unfortunately, the very dapper Belzer couldn't get his suit and shirt sleeve rolled up far enough for our TV viewers to see for themselves.
Fortunately, our blog is here to save the day. Here's Belzer's Jerry Lewis artwork in the flesh. On a more serious note, check out our other post on Belzer, calling attention to his fight to ban high-capacity ammo, just like the kind used in the Tucson shooting.

being a kid and watching Jerry as I grew up and seeing what just happened to him is actually an indictment of our American society. we care so little of what our seniors have done and what they have contibuted to America. the bottom line is all that matters anymore it seems.
wasn't it the march of dimes that the actuall money that went to the cause was 10 cents on the dollar?
now what is the reason for removing Jerry? perhaps his stand that the money should go to the kids instead of management? maybe?
I remember Red Skelton and all those guys that made you laugh and how all of them were very respected. what is respect now? what has happened to Jerry is a sentence on those principles of respect.
Awful just awful.
Lawrence,
I think Belz Twitter is @MRBELZER as the TV Kyron showed, rather than what you linked to above. That is someone else. Also, I was hoping you linked to Belz's campaign to ban extended gun magazines in this country. Thx.
One of the things that most amazes me about Americans is how expendable everything and everyone is. I don't particularly care about Jerry Lewis –never have, never will. However, after watching this segment by Lawrence I could not avoid but to think about the tearing down Yankee Stadium – for instance. Nothing seems to be sacred, nothing worth keeping if it fails to make the expected profit. Mr Lewis is an indisputable icon and deserves more respect.
