In a segment on Monday, Lawrence told you about all the words Americans associate with the debt ceiling. When asked to describe their impression of the budget negotiations in one word in a new Washington Post-Pew Research Center Poll, things like "pathetic," "disgusting," "bull," "crazy," and "childish" came to mind.
NY Mag's Daily Intel blog went one step further by asking a demo of sixth-graders to weigh in on the "childish" behavior of lawmakers. The 10 and 11-year-old break down the debt ceiling saga in their own way. To them, politicians are "acting like kids who only have three video games and they want more," then some guy with a "turtle face" came in to the talks.

YES! The whole bargaining process was a joke! Funny for them: our congressional leaders. But not funny at all for America and the Americans.
None of them should be paid for the charade they put on. We need a new group of concerned politicians who will do what is right for America, and not what is right for the respective party's, who are being bought out by the very wealthy here in America.
It's not that they do not know what the problems are in America; it's just that they have no idea how to solve them; because they are so concerned about being elected/re-elected.
Until our lawmakers are held accountable, nothing good will come out of our congressional legislations. The United States Supreme court destroyed America when they allowed so much money to 'buy-out' America. Our fore-fathers would be so discussted with the way our leaders have transformed America into a nation of HAVES and HAVE-NOTS! We were a nation of immigrants, achieving the American Dream. Now we are a nation of Dreamers, just trying to survive. The only way out of this is for America to 'take back' what was stolen from us, (good paying jobs, good health care and the ability to feel proud of who we once were)
Someone comb that little girls hair!
ROFL!! Even the kids get it!
"Some guy with a turtle face...". ROFL!!!! Too funny, and a perfect description!

Time to Drain the Swamp:
Frustrated with the Republican antics? Then it’s time to start draining the swamp.
1. Since it has always been about VOTING, Dems need to heed the Republican “Voter Suppression Plan” for 2012. Their plan has been to bust all unions, and to institute the requirement for voter IDs. Fine, we need to unite anyway, help other Dems to register to vote and help them get their voter’s IDs, well prior to 2012. This could be as simple as starting right in your own family.
2. Can’t wait until 2012? Fine, Dems need to initiate some RECALLS today. A good person to start with would be Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY). Might as well start at the top, if Dems want to send a strong signal to Washington, regarding the Republican outrageous power grabs. Some of these politicians believe, because they align with the upper 2% of the wealthy, that they are untouchable by the other 98% of the American voters. From my understanding of math, 98% is higher than 2%.
3. Get involved and stay informed.
Turtle does describe mitch mc connell. He's an arrogant piece of work . I listen to you Mr O'Donnell because you don't get shrill and your explanations make sense to me . One of the most things the members of congress did was to leave town after lying off all those FAA people. mr mica only targeted Democratic leaders ,talk about hubris . I guess the gop does'nt care about stepping on the little guy . Eric Cantor wanted tax cuts before he would give federal aid to the State of Missouri . How is America to respect people who don't like me . Mr Obama has had to make decisions that he did not like ,but he did it for the Country and not for koch brothers ,grover norquist or wal street . john boehner just looks pitiful to me .
A Food for Thought suggestion that should stimulate our Political
Leaders. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund should be move to the Social
Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security
system, and our Political Leaders participates with the American people. Our Political Leaders should also participate in Medicare.
Why do our Political Leaders and the American people have different Social Security,
Retirement and Health Care programs? What a concept.....
Go figure. It's already been taken down after receiving "negative comments". Anyone know where it might be posted?
