The White House wants to hammer home this message of Obama as the adult in the room, the responsible leader. That might explain the delayed, yet calculated release of a new video posted to the White House blog on Friday. The clip was actually taken back in March, when Obama met with a bipartisan group of college kids in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
In the meeting, Obama cited Abraham Lincoln’s compromises on The Emancipation Proclamation as bi-product of tough leadership choices. He said, "you've got a wartime president who’s making a compromise around probably the greatest moral issue that the country ever faced because he understood that right now, my job is to win the war and to maintain the Union.” (Historical cheat-sheet: Lincoln did not have the authority to fully abolish slavery across the nation — only the states that seceded).
Perhaps in a nod to his base, the president explained his rationale for compromising with Republicans. He told students, "the nature of our democracy and the nature of our politics is to marry principle to a political process that means you don't get 100% of what you want."
Gee, could that be applied to the debt ceiling? Team Obama sat on this footage until now because it better fits their debt ceiling narrative to voters: Democrats are working to find a compromise, while the GOP continues to reject everything. New poll numbers suggest Obama is winning that argument.

Koch, a Russian, communistic family were buddies with Stalin, are now the Tea Party masterminds. The Koch fortune began in Soviet Russia; Fred Koch received contracts from Joseph Stalin to build 15 oil refineries in the Soviet Union. Koch Industries bought Georgia-Pacific which exploits government land and uses the tax payer to pay for roads to exploit oil fields in forests. Their Matador cattle company uses federal land. They were
caught in the 80s stealing oil from federal land and not paying for it. They trimmed oil off the top from Native American oil reserves by rounding down instead of accurately measuring the amount of oil and paying proper royalties. They stole 300 million gallons of oil from the Native Americans. After a 20 year court battle they eventually settled and admitted fault.
Dear Mr. President:
Lincoln effectively split the country and drove it to war over "the greatest moral issue that the country ever faced" and, in the process, transformed us from a reprobate nation.
Now it’s possible that I may be under-appreciating the great transformational accomplishments of saving the banking industry and giving everyone the right to buy health insurance and compelling them to do so but, either way, this can beg only one question: are you OK?

Please take president Clinton's suggestion on the debt ceilling debacle. The Gop want to take your time away from working on ways to help with job creation. Republicans want the unemployment rate to remain at 9,2%. they believe that would work to their advantage. the economy,(jobs) will be presidential candidate's song, singing in unisson while trying to make the case that only Republicans can save America.
