Boxes containing thousands of pages of Sarah Palin's emails from her first 21 months as governor.

Alaskan officials released thousands of Sarah Palin's emails today, highlighting her brief stint as governor.

The emails — totaling 24,199 worth of pages — cover the period from the time she took office in December 2006 to her boost up GOP ladder to vice presidential nominee in September 2008. The emails were sent and received by Palin's personal and state accounts, though only those deemed state business related were actually released to the public.

Citizens and news organizations requested the emails as a vetting tool during the 2008 White House race. It’s just taken nearly three years to process the order due to its sheer volume.

"I think every rock in the Palin household that could ever be kicked over and uncovered anything, it's already been kicked over," said Palin this week, unfazed by the email dump.

Palin supporters encouraged people to read through the docs. "The thousands upon thousands of emails released today show a very engaged Governor Sarah Palin being the CEO of her state," said Sarah PAC treasurer, Tim Crawford. "The emails detail a Governor hard at work."

The state said it was not practical to provide electronic versions of the emails (doesn't Alaska want to save trees?), leaving news organizations, including MSNBC, scrambling to read through everything.

This is just another shameful attempt by the lame stream liberal media to thrash and smear a patriotic American. How about investigating Obuma's fake birth certificate, his fake social security#, his fake school records. Why are they protecting him so much? Because he's black? I thought we're way past slavery, civil rights and affirmative actions. THE WORLD IS DEFINITELY COMING TO AN END !!!

as for investigating President Obama's birth certificate, the republican party has already done that. they have investigated his social security number, and his school records. you bet they have, because they were hoping they would find something that they could bring to the american people. as it stands all they have had are false and bigoted accusations, nothing more.

and had those things been proven as "fake" as you suggested above, that would have been front page news. the republican and tea party are clearly saying that these documents are fake because they want the american people to question the authenticity of our president. and of course, there are those that believe the accusations, like yourself.

how can we be "way past" racism, civil rights and (affirmative action?) when you all keep shoving it down our throat?

it is very convenient to think that racism is dead and buried, isn't it.

Sarah Palin Uses Email Dump To Release Critics Personal Information

As the media swarms over Sarah Palin’s emails has anyone thought to ask why the personal information of those who wrote emails critical of Palin was not redacted?

Some very ugly things are going to come out of these emails and not against Sarah Palin. Frankly I’m very disturbed by her legal team’s choices in what I’m reading. Sarah Palin and her legal team spent two and half years combing these emails for pages they wanted to withhold and for redactions to protect the privacy of some people. But you want to know whose information they left in?

Any person who wrote to criticize the Governor has their email and phone number out for the Palin cult to attack. Sarah Palin once again used a seeming “attack” on her (aka, a request for transparency) as an opportunity to turn the guns of her internet vigilantes on her detractors. This is an outrageous compromising of those citizen’s privacy and safety.

Yes, they are private citizens, not public officials.

The people who emailed Palin have all had their names, email addresses, addresses, and in some cases phone numbers made public in this email dump. This is a problem for those who sent her criticism like the email below:

Because this concerned citizen had the nerve to ask what the heck is Todd Palin doing involved in state business, she now finds all of her personal contact information exposed. This means that Palin’s Thugs for Christ Brownshirts are now free to terrorize anyone who ever sent Palin a critical email.

Thus SP gets to put crosshairs on her perceived enemies for all to see, and yet will claim to have had no influence upon the government staff who have been so selective with their redacting.

Mr. O'Donnell. you claimed in an ealier show that your parent company, GE submitted a 24,000 page Federal Income Tax return last year. You did not post a copy of it anywhere so that we could examine it. Yet you try to smear an excellent former governor of Alaska for no reason other than jealosy by releasing her private emails. Shame on your infantile antics.

Too bad this atrocity wasn't included in those emails. This was her participating in a radio talk show while she was so busy being that good governor and great vp nominee.
