Can your iPhone track your every move? A new report released yesterday suggests Apple’s basically stalking you more than that creepy ex.
Democratic lawmakers are now demanding answers from Steve Jobs. Senator Al Franken and Congressman Ed Markey both sent WTF letters to the Apple CEO, demanding answers on this data, why it’s stored and whether Apple failed to protect its customers' privacy.
"The existence of this information — stored in an unencrypted format — raises serious privacy concerns," Franken wrote.
Researchers discovered iPhones and iPads with iOS 4 operating systems track and secretly store users' locations via latitude and longitude. Apple reportedly collects that data information hundreds of times a day, then tucks it away in an accessible format without the user's knowledge.
"Anyone who gains access to this single file could likely determine the location of a user's home, the businesses he frequents, the doctors he visits, the schools his children attend, and the trips he has taken-over the past months or even a year,” wrote Franken. "The millions of children and teenagers who use iPhone or iPad devices also risk having their location collected and compromised."
Markey questions, “if location information is used for a commericial purpose” and whether it complies with Section 222 of the Communications Act, which requires consent for this type of thing.
Still no response from Jobs. He could at least send a text.

I for one cannot afford such items as Iphones. This though is a huge violation and as usual the teabaggers are not concerned with it, WHY? Mostly since the Iphone is apart of corporate America & the teabaggers have not been whipped up about this.

The idea that Apple is tracking my every move through my phone is beyond creepy to me. I have nothing to hide, but I also don't want someone, especially a giant corporation like Apple monitoring me like that. I hope they are forced to stop doing so soon if in fact it is happening.
I am guessing the Patriot Act allows this behavior,and I don't see that changing anytime within the next 100 years. Again why isn't the so called freedom lovers the teabaggers fighting on this front?

The Medicare program as you know it will be bankrupt along with the entire USA within the 12 year budget plan under the oddly proposed O-Bama Budget Plan 2.0. His budget 2.0 was expressed with no specifics except increased taxes, during his proposal that was simply a partisan campaign speech full of insulting rhetoric. Clearly, all he knows how to do as a Campaigner-in-Chief. The CBO evaluated his tentative plan, which shows that his proposal will add an additional 7 Trillion US Dollars to our National Debt - sounds like a pleasant goal for the Socialist/Marxist partisan participants (Extreme Leftist Loons) surrounding the Prez in his Administration. Not any Czar or 0-Bama would pass a basic TSA application background check, much less a FBI/CIA screening.
The O-Bama Administration has done a perfect job - along with Fed monetary policy - to reduce consumer demand, keep unemployment high, excessive business regulations limiting new small business grow – along with devaluing our currency, respectively. All the while the devaluation of the US Dollar by the Fed is causing excessive real inflation, since we are importing inflation at a minimum of 9-10% on most goods. Too bad the O-bama Administration and the Fed are not in touch with reality and would prefer to keep everyone on unemployment and food stamps. Hence, adding to the nearly 50% of the public do not pay any income taxes and who mostly get refund, Similarly, BHO's buddy Emelt (CEO of GE and major contributor of the White House Economic Council) or in other words GE made 14 Billion in Worldwide profits and did not pay a cent in taxes, but was able the receive a 3.2 Billion Dollar Tax Credit. GE and the Prez is epitome of Capital Cronyism, along with countless other cooperators with the US Government; a well learned tactic from the corrupt Chicago Political Machine.

Bush. The stifling regulatory practices implemented by the infamous Cass Sunstein, also created additional uncertainy.
