One of these days I'm going to clean my desk...
This is a look at my desk at 6:41 ET, today. After poring over all this material with Lawrence, both of us wielding our own all-important highlighter, I was putting the finishing touches on tonight's Rewrite. It's a Rewrite we've been discussing since last week, and one in which you will meet the most powerful man in America "who does not sleep in the White House," to borrow a line from the script. He's a man who controls our government's most important domestic power. And he's a man who's getting some push back from a source he probably never expected.
Find out who it is on tonight's edition of The Last Word.

I'm saying Ben Bernanke.
And, in the event it's not Mr. Bernanke, prepare for a Rewrite. :>)
Love this show. Love his rants.
Love the show. Love his rants!!!!
Please: during rewrite, dump "pouring" and use "poring" instead.
I don't miss Keith with Lawrence in this slot.
good catch re: poring vs. pouring.
OMG!! What a priceless show from Lawrence on "Trumpology"!!! I laughed so hard to the point I had tears in my eyes! SO EXCELLENT Lawrence.... I love your show!
Kudos for exposing the man (and his organization) that has contributed more than any other to our economic problems.
You are the only media commentator I know of who has done a major feature on this topic. (I did find a piece on an obscure website--www.howtotalkback.com--that dealt with it.)
Do it again. Maybe some other journalists will connect the dots between the Pledge and the economic crisis.
I appreciate your honesty and your research.
Why are we just finding out about this now? Why has this not been brought up before? I find this very revealing and extremely concerning. The deficit cannot be reduced if we do not eliminate some earmarks. No wonder money flows out like a waterfall. If Republicans do not help us, they are acting like traitors. It is time to put our country first and rise above politics, because if we default on the limit increase of our debt and then later do not substantially decrease the deficit, our country will go off the cliff. When interest rates go way up and we have to pay more for the interest on our national debt, we are going over the cliff. When will people realize that Bush drove this country into the ground? Just because time passes, it does not become Obama's fault. We are lucky to have turned around the depression. Both sides, please come together and decrease spending and increase revenue, which go hand in hand. I cannot believe there are no other substantial comments here on this matter. Come on Republicans, be Americans!
Larry is no different the oberdork, both vile, hate spewing limousine liberal phonies that have never had dirt under their nails and don't know what its like to work in the private sector. After all MSNBC and their parent, GE are really the Obama Propaganda Directorate, no better then Goerings was under the Nazis.
sharing this link because Marianne Williamson articulates so many things that we all have been concerned about for America these days... it's beautiful and powerful and very worth listening to.
well the link got deleted... I guess I can't post that. At the same time her July 4th address about what is American about taking action to champion the common good is very powerful... If you can find it online (good luck) it's golden.
