Ways to not advertise the new spring fashion collection: don't compare it to a massive uprising in Egypt where innocent people are dying on the streets. Though this PR strategy may seem pretty basic to most, it apparently did not raise any red flags for designer Kenneth Cole. Check out what Cole tweeted this morning:

The fashion guru has since removed the tweet but not before it was released to his 9,500 followers. In what the Huffington Post deemed an "epic PR fail," Cole tweeted the message the morning after an extremely violent day in Cairo. Though the designer released an apology on his facebook page late this afternoon. He called the tweet "poorly timed and absolutely inappropriate." I am going to have to ask Cole a very popular question in his world: "what were you thinking?"
